sometimes i get unexpected amount of money. it happened 2 times to me. i got 4 quintillion(instead of 500 quadrillion), 2 nonillion (instead of 300 octillion). i think this game have bug for calculating a day, sometimes it counts 8 hours as 32 hour or something.

The cheaper ones grow in price far more exponentially, so becoming more costly than the more benficial investments, except for lemonade stands which are 69.618 septillion for my 861st.

Actually if you play it for long enough, newspapers do begin to cost more than anything else. 114.100 septillion for my 401st newspaper, 12.690 septillion for my 501st oil derrick. I've been getting up to octillions so far.

@jmble I have 445 billion investors and the last 2 files I had got the 500 for all. Though idk why, when I logged for the night and woke up I had a decillion dollars. This playthrough seems.... slow to me, but looking at the math it is actually running how it should. Weird...

@TexasHound, If you open your other games in a new window it will continue to run. I think the Devs mentioned a while back that doing tabs will make it stop. I could be wrong about Devs saying that but the new window does work

After suffering through several resets and having the developers help me restore my progress, I seem to have found a temporary work-around to prevent you from losing your progress. Power losses/system shutdowns seem to be the cause of the resets, but after my most recent power loss with the game open, I re-opened my firefox and it asked me if I wanted to reload the page. I said NO and manually went back to kong and reloaded the game. My progress was STILL THERE. It seems to be a bug with the internet window trying to restore the session that causes the wipes.

Has anybody gotten to 500 newspaper stands without cheating yet? I'm just curious. I currently have 28 billion angel investors and 500 oil wells, and according to my math it will take approximately 250 or so days to get enough money to reach 500 newspaper stands at my current pace. I keep coming back and reinvesting though. I'm going to get there someday!

Thanks @AlphaEvermore...I was thinking that export means "creating a save file" rather than "creating save text". So yeah, copying into Notepad works allright.

It seems like it doesn't run when I switch profiles on here (windows 8.1). Like it pauses. I have other idle games that will still run when we switch logins. I don't "logout", just switch profiles. something to consider.

@anjodanet, i'm at 30 billion AI and not even close really. 500s on right side investments and 450 on other side but will take forever to get higher

@anjodanet - I've got 50bn angels - I've gotten the newspaper to 480 (the last cog) before giving up and doing a reset - but I'm impatient. So more than 50bn if you're Cabbage Jack is my answer.

I keep coming back to this game. I have to admit I'm a little impatient sometimes, buying stuff and exchanging all my progress for angel investors, just so i can keep clicking. It's great that it "pays" to "restart" :D Thanks so much guys ;)

Can I haz cookie for being the 10,376 player here before? :D I see that it is evolving everyday which is why I like it. Some idle games, Ill just leave and it instantly wins it for me. This is different and I find that the developers are always open for opinions, You guys improve everytime and i hope you produce more games for all of us. Thank you guys, a big 5/5 for all of you! :D

Harshguy, the Export feature works fine on Windows (Export, switch to Notepad, Paste, see a big block of text representing your saved game state) so you might be experiencing a Windows/Ubuntu difference. The text is coded with Base64 and can be decoded and viewed using a site like base64decode.org

Downvoting my comment won't make me less right. Changing the order in which you purchase upgrades does not change the final income. Please don't try to make the devs address a non-issue.

Yeah I'm not sure why, sometimes when I leave the game running and then refresh the browser, I end up with like 5x what I had. Not complaining ;) but it's strange

Just started playing this game yesterday. And like all the others, I'm hooked.
Just a few questions...how does the export feature work? What should I do after it says "Copied to Clipboard"? I tried pasting to some local location, but it tells me that nothing has been copied.
Are there any other alternatives that I can do to save data?
System details: Ubuntu 13.10, Mozilla Firefox with Pipelight for Unity Player.

so far i have noticed that we earn angel investors by earning some fixed or unfixed sum e.g for me when ever i get between 0.75-1.25 quadrillion i earn one angel investor.
please do add how the angels investor system works .apart from that 5/5

No, upgrading the AI before x3 does not make any difference whatsoever to your final income. That's the beauty of multiplication. 3 x 5 is exactly the same as 5 x 3.

would be fun to have monocles / steeds / boats / etc as equippable items with certain random bonuses? that way we can have an inventory and shop+equipment segment to the game...

Great gameplay, high incentives to check the status of the game regurlary, very suitable music :D ... I think that you should insert info about "average earning per second" under each segment as it is hard to decide which segment I should upgrade as the next. Probably in the line next to "Almost done!" / Time remaining:" info. Anyway 5/5 from me ;)
