The actual formula used to calculate AI's:
AngelInvestors = floor(sqrt( 9.0 * total_earnings / pow(10.0,11.0) ) / 2.0 ) - angels_used_across_all_games
(in the code there is some +1.0 and -1.0 in there i guess its to keep the values as doubbles or floats)
This basically means that you can screw yourself over quite heavily if you start buying upgrades that cost angels to early, and that the angels used for upgrading are lost forever (Or until you do a hard reset).
If your earnings are high enough the acumulated loss across all your games might be neglible, but its something to look out for.
Also people have been asking about how angel effectiveness is calculated. Angels without upgrades have an effectiveness of 2% or 0.02 so:
money_earned = income + income * angels * 0.02
An upgrade that improves angel effectiveness by 1% or 0.01 is added to the base effectiveness of the angels, so if you bought the 1% upgrade it would look like this:
money_earned = income + income * angels * 0.03

@Chwooly the issue for me at least is my offline updates after a few seconds and sometimes it doesn't its rather hit and miss.

If only my real life bank account could accumulate so fast lol. Great job in making a simple yet highly addictive game. Find myself logging in 2 or 3 times a day just to see how much money I have haha.

When you start getting into the trillions and quadrillions of Angel Investors, you start buying commodities in their hundreds (I know I do). Can we have a x100 button as well as the x1 and x10 please? My clicking finger isn't as young as it used to be =)

@catorak, the issue isn't that the AI progress based on square roots, it's that the cost to buy grows exponentially, and the AI progresses linearly

The game seems to be slowing down quite a bit. I now have 2 Quintillion AI but the game doesn't seem to be have sped up since about 600 quadrillion AI. If the AI growth is based on square roots then the game will slow down exponentially, it will come to almost a dead stop at one point. Why is my progressed capped like this?

If you shut down your browser like you should before turning off your computer, the offline mode should work. it doesnt work for me when i force a shutdown on my browser.

"Each angel investor + 2% investment value" does that mean if I have 50 angel inviestorts and reset the game. All the money I earn is 100% (2x) more ?

whoever said you had to login to FB for offline mode to work, that's not true I don't even have FB attached to my kongregate account, and my FB is signed out whenever I play this
plus my browser logs me out of everything when I close it
and it works while the computer is OFF (as in, shut down)
I've only noticed it goes a LOT slower then it does when the game is actually open, other than that I've been getting a lot of money overnight

i think many people have used a facebook account to create a kong one, i think you might need to keep your FB on for offline mode to work. if that works can you like this comment so others can see

I don't understand the issue with offline, I have not had a problem with it yet, Except it takes 5 secs to update when I first start.

Something is really wrong. I can earn roughly 10 decillion per minute, yet through the night (9-10 hours or so) I've earned Nothing! Nada! Zit! Offlie mode is definetly and completely broken! Do not come here trying to say it is not broken, only yesterday I could still earn while my computer were turned off, but now I can not.

The only thing this needs at the moment is a $/s counter for each buisness. obviously everything new you do is wonderful and is exactly why I gave you 5 stars, but I would really like to know what's getting me how much.

@0: Offline feature works, only if you do not turn off your computer in between. So if you turned off the computer for the night offline mode won't work.

maybe something to put forward here, instead of being drowned in upgrades. whilst upgrades are great.. maybe take something in the aspects of stocks market it terms of rises and crashes that can be implemented here on a on-line level. for example, one week donuts' profits raise by 10% and the shrimp boats decrease 15% in profits.. and this rotates.

I think that a score feature, were you can see your progress vs other players, or a top ten players score would take the game to the next step, turning it in a competition.
I am curious if other players feel the same?

What do import and export actually do...? All I know is that I got from 101 oil companies and 400 lemon stands to 0 oil companies and 251 lemonade stands after I clicked import....oh y and I lost my 314 angel investors -.-
