you have deleted the post in which nearly a thousand people were complaining because the game had not been updated. even if you've replaced them with promises of updating, i dont think it is correct.
Erase the thought of all those people is decidedly undemocratic...

The upgrade pricing is really screwed up at higher levels. Oil rig costs less than the Bank at same level. Not sure exactly where it flips, but its close to level 300. That seems like such an obvious mistake.

@DarkMacros - do you reset game? If done too early you will not get any reward. You have to earn enough money to get angel investors after reset.

I really like how we can mash both mouse keys to upgrade our investments. It makes the early Lemonade stand upgrades a bit easier to do.

I finally got the monocle! It was getting a little (very) unfair towards the end, but overall a great game. You really understood, what an 'idle game' is all about. Thank you! Let's see if that upgrade will make me play again...

Update from the Dev: greetings fellow Adventure Capitalists! Update #1 is nearly here. For those anticipating it - our studio rolls on Pacific Standard Time, so it's probably about 12 hours away. We just have some final bugs to iron out, and then we're golden. At that point, we'll be submitting the new build to Kongregate for upload (there's an extra step now that we're implementing the Kongregate API), so we're not totally sure how long it takes from there. But we'll notify you all when it's up. Thanks again for your patience! Our current plan is to launch Update #2 next week, so you won't have to endure such a long dry spell again. Cheers to you all, and thank you for your continued interest in Capitalism.

At high levels this game ilustrates pretty much the power of compound interest - oil rigs upgrade price increase 6% each upgrade compared to lemonade's 15%. shows that 1.15^300 can become significantly larger than 1.06^300.
Yes. We stealth launched the new version today, and ran into some minor size / text clipping issues. Once we get those ironed out tomorrow, we're going live!
Real answer: it's misdirection! You are meant to discover that Oil Rigs are more cost effective - and then purchasing more of the other investments becomes more about upgrading your Oil Rigs speed than actually benefiting from the investments (except Lemonade Stands. They're pretty much always awesome). We'll be putting in more stuff in future updates that throws a curveball into this however.
Fake answer: supply and demand! Newspapers are a dying industry, but Oil is still big Big BIG!

I found a bug, you get Angel Investors, while everyone knows business people have lawyers. lawyers are demons from hell who will steal your soul if you loiter for 30 seconds calling your wife, who wants to know what you want for dinner. Point is... Whats my point again?

Okay, so I've discovered a bug. (I don't know if this has already been reported) I'm playing on the latest Mozilla Firefox and if you shut down your computer without shutting down Firefox (As in, the computer shuts down everything) and then restart the computer and restore all the tabs, you get a massive boost on your investment which leads to a massive Angel investor boost. Before the restart I would have gotten roughly 13K AI's. After the reset I can now get 41k. Since this is just a game for your own personal enjoyment, it's not a horrible thing, but it might be something you want to check out.

Please add a buy 10 and buy 100 option. Otherwise, great game, and I really like the way everything scales. Currently at ~170k angel investors and buying 300 of everything is starting to hurt my finger :(

Also, another idle game out right now, Multiplicative Idle has a cool feature, it has an auto-buy feature on it, where it will automatically buy the cheapest, or the most expensive building available, the second you can afford it. That would be pretty neat to see on here.

In the next update you should adjust the prices for purchase. the ones that get you the least money are the most expensive to buy after a certain point

Another cool feature for this game would be the ability to take out loans. Every good capitalist needs a boost in funds every once in a while.

I have an idea for that bag of money that's always teleporting around. Perhaps it could every once and a while appear on the screen for about 10 seconds. If you click it within this time it'll give you a income boost.

It would be good, that the values are represented with some shorter notation, either using SI prefixes, or powers of 10. There's no way I can differentiate between 15 and 18 digits without counting them slowly.

As I was admiring my enormous wealth I noticed that one of the many several bags of money I had left on the lawn appeared to be under the tire of my automobile. I wouldn't want my fortune to be soiled by my car tires. Developer would you be a sport and bring that bag forward a layer or two?
