A Kongregate-wide rest would technically be fair, but I wouldn't really want to throw away the month long idling thats been put into the game. Maybe make it so in order to be on the leaderboard you have to do at least one hard reset? So that the people who want to don't have to reset and start over completly?

yeah i think reset high scores would be a good idea,maybe even whole game ,would not put me off. Just a thought about game maybe you could incorprate some sort of ramdomish share price for each company

I just found a exploit that gives me sextillions of money every 5 seconds...

Oil Company upgrade from 405 to 406 = 20 Sextillion

I really don't want to reset again, I've reached a point where I can get 400 of each, and that's a LOT of clicking, I hope you implement being able to buy more things at a time soon.

It seems like there is a bug with extra money generating while offline. At my current investment level, if I watch for a minute of play and neither bank nor oil rig finish I will get a few trillion dollars. If I close the browser and come back in a minute and reload, I'll have 40 or 50 trillion extra. The longer I wait, the more pronounced it is. If I wait 10 minutes I'll have a quadrillion or so, all without the bank or oil rig and no way to make the math on it work.

June 24 Update: Hey fellow Capitalists! Using the comments o update this time, so we don't spam your guys' inboxes. Right now we're QA testing all of our bug fixes and our multi-buy functionality. If we get a clean bill of health, we'll be pushing the new build to preview tomorrow. If THAT looks clean and bug free, we'll push to live. So the plan is: hopefully update tomorrow. Might need another day or two if we find any new bugs. Thanks for your patience while we restore your faith in Capitalism!

If you are required to hard reset before you can be listed on the scoreboard, you should be given an extra 50% profit if your max cookies are over 1 sextillion or something.

I think I found a bug in the game. Normally the oil pipelines is the expensiestof them all. B0th while the 364th pipeline costs 1,280 sextillion, the 325th newspaper delivery costs 3,198 sextillion. It's not normal that the newspaper have such a price difference to the other things

Leader boards? Does anyone ever take them seriously? Maybe the top 10 players... which constitutes how much of the player base?
We might consider a "Competitive" reset mode. Anyone who wants to put up stats can reset onto the level playing field sort of thing. But it's all on the drawing board right now!

nvm see you did inverted prices since people just always bought the rigs first anyways. slowing the game down by buying the cheap crap last.
Also if reset my angel investors I'm gone. Did not use any exploits, and just made it to 1.5 mil today. Only reason i keep coming back is to see how much faster it is to get back to same point i was before resetting.
Thanks for the heads up! We're not valuing the leaderboards above everyone's current progress, we're just figuring out how to fix the boards. A reset is obviously the easiest option, but we don't want to disenfranchise our dear Capitalists. We'll figure something out though. Thanks for bearing with us!

Anyone else experience something wrong with the price of additional "properties"? Own 300 of each and minus the lemonade stand the lowest profit costs the most. Oil rig 16.8 quintillion, bank 22.8 quintillion, movie theater 30.2 quintillion .... to news paper costing 97 quintillion. Something seems just a little off there.

A reset wouldn't make me stop playing, I don't think, but the grind back up to where I am could turn me off from the game. I also don't know if the inverted price is a good idea, but I'm willing to indulge you if you think you can do something with it.

I wanted to see what it would be like to be a poor man a field, so I reset with the help of some kind angel investors and now I am doing better faster. I have always counted on the kindness of strangers.

Then, finally, you suggested resetting. Muh, angel investors, but just do it. We'll sob for a day, but then at least the highscores are fair again. They're kind of dominated by those who used the exploits now. Would be a shame if that stayed that way. Keep up the good work :) (2/2)

In response to the updates: Doing nicely, we can really see you working on this, which is a good thing :) You might consider making the new upgrades slightly more expensive, especially the second tier. That tier is reached rather easily, once you have some angel investors, sending the income straight through the roof very quickly, while when you are rich in the end the updates are earned in no time. I've got 2 billion angel investors now (no exploits used except for the update 'disaster', jay) and it costs me like 1h to get everything to 300 and above and buy all updates. Kind of takes away the challenge there and leaves it to 30mins of clicking stuff and then waiting ages to get stuff to 500. I wouldn't suggest more updates, but some more spreading might be useful. (1/2, was too long :( )

Here's a thought: What about the different buildings you purchase changing their names after each of the achievements are acquired? Like the lemonade stand becoming a lemonade store after the 50th up until a lemonade planet at 500.

The end game is a bit better after the upgrade, I've got 300 000 000 Angel Investors and getting 500 of everything still takes ridiculous amount of money. I will probably grind it until 1 000 000 000 AI before even attempting last achievements.

I think you guys are doing a great job and the game is actually really fun. I play it at work in the background while I run spreadsheets and other paperwork. It's nice to stop and focus on absolutely ridiculous sums of money. :)
I think the reset for functionality and extra game content is a great idea. If there was a perk for those of us that have played for a while, like extra angel investors

I don't want to keep looking at high scores that are absolutely impossible without exploits staring me down every time I start the game. If it'll give everyone an actual chance of making it to the leaderboard, I'll gladly reset my progress myself

Ah, FireFox think, Unity has crashed, but it take long while calculating time when offline. Cheating with Close Tab, change time in Windows and open game again doesn't work anymore, this is good.

Suggestion: Sometimes it takes a moment after the game loads before the offline profits are added in. This seems to confuse people when it takes more than a few seconds. There should be a messages saying, "Calculating offline profits." It could be on a sign planted in front of our guy. When the profits are calculated, then the sign would go away.
Right now, the bug fixes we're testing seems to have solved the tabulation delay. If our current build is any indication, the next update will help with a lot of the stability issues and exploits!
