I understand the balancing of cost for the businesses, but if you look at it closer, i am paying 3.903 Quint for a newspaper that gives me $4bil dollars, and paying the same amount for a Oil Rig, which give me $2.206 quint. It does not make sense to keep up the lower ones. Only for achievements and time, but there is no profit in expanding them.
Newspaper will serve a new function in the end game. In the meantime, we hope you'll keep expanding them for those sweet sweet everything x500 achievements!

GameTommy, I haven't been closing the game at all, but refreshing gives a huge amount of money at times. Does that mean when it's open it isn't really giving you all the money it can, so refreshing corrects it?

A suggestion about buying new companies: a buy 10 times button would be great. Especialy after a reset, it is tiresome to press them for hundreds of times. And thank you, its a good game for idle fans.

I oppose the idea of a reset, but if you're going to do one, I suggest that you at least allow people the ability to keep their angel investors.

@jkl690: You continue to get money even while offline. When you start the game each time, it takes it a second calculate how much money you have earned since you last closed the game to when you start it again, and then it adds that money to your total. Developer has confirmed this in Best Comments section.

Refreshing the page after a while gives me a huge amount of money, that isn't intentional right? I feel like I'm cheating.

I think some of the math might be off because around investment level 250 it starts costing more to buy newspaper then it dos oil

about progress reset - that similar game clickiecooker never needed a scoreboard to be fun. If you do reset, people can still find new ways to cheat after that. Kong scoreboards have never meant a thing to me since I've always assumed every top score was hack.

A reset would be good, but would it be possible to keep a total angel score (pre-reset angels + post reset angels) to take out the sting of losing all our angels in our settings? Also could you please do something with the angel counter, it is really hard to workout how many angels you have, even roughly, when all you have is one long unbroken line of numbers which tend to alter rapidly.

I would be fine with a reset. I love the game and would love to see it balanced and fair. I would still hve fun replaying it from scratch

Please do not reset our progress. Personally, I do not care one bit about the leader-boards. Don't punish the people doing the game right because of a few bad apples. If you do reset it, I will likely quit playing. I will look at my 0 angel investors (down from 346M) and will have absolutely no motivation to get it back up again. Please do not reset our progress.

Just a suggestion, but it may be easier to incorporate a simple hotkey for each store purchase which would reduce clicking of the mouse. Instead of making a "Buy 5, etc." button you could have "1" be the hotkey for the lemonade stand, "2" for newspaper, etc. Then when people want to buy many, they simply hold the "1" key down until they have as many as they want.

hmmm the upgrade price is getting absurd from around lvl 300 where the upgrade cost are in reversed order - meaning the oil company (best/most expensive) is cheapest and newspaper(worst/cheapest - lemonade doesnt count :D) is most expensive

I believe there is a bug, in that every establishment, with the exception of lemonade stands, costs in the quintillions of dollars around the 300 mark. This causes many of the lower tier businesses to cost more than the oil companies at this point in the game.

Achievements seem to be a bit buggy, it shows me the 500 newspapers acquired as achieved but I only have 242 (just an example, other facilities also have this error).

wanted to bring to your attention that I received most of the new achievements without reaching that number. It only didn't award the following; Wash 4, donut 5, hockey 5, movie 4 & 5, bank 4 & 5, oil 4 & 5, and all 4 & 5. Still hard to understand why at 300 shops each that the one providing the most profit is least expensive.

Why do newspaper stands cost more to buy a 301st than it does to get a 301st oil company? And why are lemonade stands insanely cheaper than both?

I get why the flow from Lemonade stand to Oil Rig is inverted - However, I do think it needs to be tweaked quite a bit - When I play an idle game I want it to last a long time. Adventure Capitalist took 3 days to get from the start to where it just made sense to reset!
Anti-Idle on the other hand I think my first reset took me 4 months between before I was even allowed to reset [a time that went down to 2days by the time I quit a year later].
I love this game but I know that by the time I leave for vacation on Friday I will be done - Been there done that. Which is unfortunate as I believe Adventure Capitalist has major potential if it is restructured.

I believe the so-called refresh bug is because the actual game time falls behind the real time and when going back to the game it synchs back up and gives you money for all the missed time

just saying, if a kong-reset is implemented, I wouldn't mind as long as we get something like extra angel investors to start our new game. if its possible, maybe inboxing each person an import that starts at ground 0 with some extra investors or something.

Regarding the reset question :) Make an opt in feature for those that wish to compete on leaderboards. Which ofcourse Means a reset! Great game, great communication and dedication!

No thanks to the reset. Scoreboards are fairly meaningless in a game against yourself anyway. Also, for an update to be meaningful you would have to be able to guarantee that no further exploits would ever arise, which is pointless because at some point something will have been overlooked and an exploit arisen. I'd rather keep the time I have already invested in this game, thanks!

I bet this guy meets Bill Gates daily at his local cafe, of which he owns the entire chain of as well as multiple other internet cafe chains. Then I bet Bill cries himself to sleep every night, in a hotel chain of which this man owns.
