It would be nice if you can display the $ per hour value for every business. so you can direct see the advantage of an upgrade.

On the achievements page, it says "[Insert witty phrase here], Acquire 500 of [Insert profitable enterprise here]. Speed of profits DOUBLED." That, to me, makes me think the profit time now takes twice as long. I know I am probably just nit-picking, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. Anyway, the game is great though.
We can neither confirm nor deny the confusing structure of our game. For now we're going to repeat what we always say, and say: "It's probably intentional". No more questions.

Very very small (imo) improvement, rather than having "Mute", and having it checked muting the sound, have "Sound" and uncheck it to mute. It just seems a bit backwards as is.

I think a periodic percentage earnings on money you haven't spent yet (like interest from a bank) might be a really cool feature. Admittedly it might imbalance your gameplay a little, so it's probably a lot more work than I'm giving credit, but it could make for a really interesting dynamic between spending and saving and add a bit more depth to gameplay. Just an idea.

PLAYERS: if you find it takes AGES clicking through the buttons to buy the things even you've enabled the *10 button, try alternate left and right mouse button. It makes the clicking faster.
DEVS: Add the above trick to your game description or news. This will make more people know it... and satisfy 2% more players.

@renatm "Maybe adding achievements for gathering a certain amount of angel investors (1000, 10000, 100000 etc.) so that they get bigger bonus is a good idea?"
Since they already give a bonus from the first second you hit reset. You actually get 1 achievement per angel investor ;D

with the multy buy option, maybe put it at if you buy 10, you get 5% discount, and make a 25 where u get a 15% discount etc. giving a reason in the later game to save up that extra.
also maybe upgrades with the lower level stalls, adverts in the newspapers that give your higher proffet things give more for a set period. or a hocky mini game, spend your earning on a better team to increase the income for that stand.

@Thjoass - to get the newsstands (and everything else) to 500, you need a lot of AIs and time. Something like a few trillion and several months, at least. xD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Thjoass: It's about 1 decillion to get the newspapers up to 500... :( Imho almost impossible before the new update. Even with 72 billion AI investors it would take a month to afford these.

I have to say that this is one of the most updated games out there in terms of the devs taking the time to read feedback and respond to the players. At first I thought it was an alright idle game and I would be bored of it a week or so after launch, but here I am in July still playing an waiting for the new content to hit and for the update. Take the time needed to craft this game into a league of it's own in the idle/anti-idle category.

Anyone got an idea of how long i would have to let the game run before i'd be able to buy lvl 500 newsstand? i have 20 bil investors left side at 400 rightside 500 cept oilrig which is at 600.

Had fun brainstorming some ideas for more visual upgrades for the Capitalist to earn: Golden brick road, giant blimp, airplane banner, spaceship, rose garden, castle, fireworks, statues, cape, golden suit, dollar-sign topiaries, dollar-sign pool, Scrooge McDuck-style money vault/pool. Hope we can see more cool stuff :-)

Error in my comments, 5303107.584 Billion per minute not second on max oil. but the 1.07 billion per second on lemon is correct so you need 82346 lemon stands to equal one oil rig when all upgrades are max. This is with no angels and since they work in %s they shouldn't change the formula.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
With my previous comment, it assumes upgrade stack multiplicitivly i.e. two x3s= x9 and 2 cheevos =4x faster. it also assumes lemonstand's base speed is 1 second. it would then be hitting around 16384 times which would cause a lot of lag. also use 600 minutes as the base time on oil.

Any way to recover lost progress? Had about 700 investors and another ~200 ready on the next reset (not a ton, but significant enough for me to be sad about losing progress). My computer died and when I restarted, all of my progress was gone. Any way to get it back? Thanks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
at max upgrades a single oil rig makes 5303107.584 Billion per second.
likewise a single lemonstand makes 1074954240 per second at max.
at that conversion you would need 4937717 lemon stands to equal 1 oil rig. the expenses on those would be insane to even afford whihc means lemon stands are just lag makers.

Alright, so the game before this one got 3200 plays. This one is now up to 2.2 million. Extrapolating on this pattern, HyperHippo's next game will have 230 trillion plays. Good luck HHG!

I agree with topuxxl94. It's very strange that when you get to 300, everything is more expensive than the Oil Company instead of cheaper.

The only thing I ask during this overhaul is... don't over-do it. I love the simplicity of the game, but I also welcome the new ideas you've proposed: Synergy, new milestones, twists and the like. As soon as it gets complicated is when you'll start to lose your dedicated followers. It's a delicate balance that will only be achieved by doing exactly what you're doing now; listening to your players. I love the game and I truly can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve.
Absoltuely! We're not going to add anything that removes the rhythm and flow of the game. It's always important for a game to understand exactly what it is. If we were to add a bunch of nonsense, it would ruin what makes it special and addictive. We mostly want to add more, and to accommodate some other play styles (active players vs strategic vs casual), but the game won't stray far from its origins.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you do it the fast way (Getting 500 oil rigs) It takes you about 1.1 Octillion to get 400 of everything, heads up.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
really need to fix the hard reset bug, i had close to 4 million investors, and had to restart, from then till now i already been through 5 hard resets, ive given up playing the game already.
It's our highest priority. In fact, it's why we're going to rewrite the game. We can't acceptably solve the issue without redoing the code. (Check the update tab for the full story).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I find it weird that, at 300, everything EXCEPT lemonade stands are more expensive than the oil rigs. Maybe there is an inverted scale that is supposed to deter the diminishing return? I would really like to know! Mostly just so I can get an idea of where you guys are going with this game! I really enjoy this game! Good work Dev's!!!
We'll be introducing some strategic elements that allow the player to manipulate the prices of stuff, and also make the newspapers more powerful. The inverted price structure is actually an intended user flow. It's supposed to catch players off guard and then, once its been pushed past, it should feel extremely satisfying!
My longest running "fair" game is at around 800 billion investors. (Fair being clean of the previous exploits). Some players with clean games are at 1.5 trillion plus. It's madness!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To do list:
buy 15 lemon aid stands.
buy a whole newspaper factory 50 times
make people pay 500$ for a car wash.
buy a pizza store
buy a donut store
buy a whole boat to roleplay forest gump.
buy a hockey team and give them donuts and pizzas from my store
skip the movie studio
buy a bank so i can steal from it with no witnesses
buy 1 oil drill and hope to god i find oil
hire managers to click the mouse for me
and then become a billionair
do all of the above in 2 hours
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The 500th everything don't seems a bit deal at first look, soon you will find the 500th newspaper is going to take billions of angel investors to even getting close in days.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For anyone complaining about clicking in this game, you buy managers who do it for you, then they will automatically get it for you. They are cheap compared to he upgrades, which triple the money value of that company. If you complain at this point, watch a movie.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@thoradin199 You'll find the Angel Investor upgrades are super cheap long before you get to the 500 of everything achievement.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Is there any way possible to make the angel investor upgrades last through resets? They seem incredibly expensive for an 'end game' upgrade. It seems like it would be more useful if you were able to carry those to a new game.

ATTENTION ANYONE WHO LOSES PROGRESS:
If you open up a "Game Bug" ticket and explain how many angel investors you lost, the developers will give you a code to reset to the current amount of AI you once had, but BE WARNED: after your first reset, you lose those AI. For example, I had 110 Billion angel investors and lost progress, they gave me the 110 bill back and I went to reset the game when i had 90 bill more earned so id hit 200 bill (and thats still not enough to conceivably get 500 of everything easily) but when i hit the reset, it didn't add to the total, it reset downwards.
Yes! This is a bug (affecting approximately 1 out of every 100 players we help). We were alerted to it this week, and we're now passing out clean codes. Very sorry for the confusion - send us another bug report, and we'll fix this issue.
