Okay, this is horseshit, fix the useless stuff costing more than the actual useful stuff. This has gone on long enough.

I tried to email you back after doing what you can to help me recover your game, but could not get it to send, so I am pasting it here:
Hi Ryan,
I have been away so have not been able to reply, and am not even sure if you will get this. But I just wanted to say thank you for doing what you could to get my game data back. I also wanted to say I am overly impressed with your work ethic. I don't play a lot of flash games, but your dedication to those who are enjoying your game, and to improving your game is outstanding. If AAA devs did a fraction of this the industry would improve to a huge extent.
Thanks again,
Mike

I think anyone that has been actively interested in posting comments and following upgrades and updates to the game would say do whatever you need to in order to make this work in the long-term. I've happily/anxiously waited years for an update or expansion to other games I enjoy so even if you're talking a month for this thing to get an overhaul I'd say it's well worth it, and think I can speak for everyone when I say good luck and well done.

Okay, okay, okay, stop complaining about the prices of newspaper and carwash stands......it actually makes sense. It's all because of the banks and oil wells. The more oil wells you buy, the more polluted the planet becomes (these oil wells are very crap oil wells, make a lot of money, but a shit ton of pollution). This in turn ruins forrests, where the wood to make paper pulp comes from, raising the cost of paper. Also, the banks use a lot of paper for money, cheque books, ect, further increasing the cost of newspapers.
I mean, use your brains guys.

This game is fun, addicting and SUPPORTED BY TH DEVELOPER. I cant say enough about how awesome this game is. Now Kong needs to add badges to increase the played numbers.

I could say sooooo much for this game!

I can´t get beyond the lemon aide stand. No, in real life! This is a very good idle game. I like the ease of strategy and the upgrades keep me tuned-in. Well done!!

Could you please be so kind and replace timers with $/s? Since the green bar is filling depending from speed and completion - the timers are kinda dumb and $/s would've been a lot more helpful.

I appreciate how much you guys work on this game, and I understand that you're re-writing the code over the next week or two to allow for effective updating, but I was wondering if you guys had any plans to release a mobile version? You do have an offline mode, which I was actually pleasantly surprised with as most idle games I've played don't have that feature, but this game seems like it would be brilliant on mobile. And if you could make it cross-platform, that would be amazing. Love the game, keep up the great work!

Developers are great. But there is a hint. If you have to make game from beginning - lets leave this just a bit upgraded, and realese AdVenture Capitalist 2.
That would be awsome, and this game would be still there.

Even with all the AI's I've amassed, it still takes me quite a while to get 500 of everything. How many AI's do I have now? 75 TRILLION. xD

Not going to lie, I am also learning how to code right now too and rather than deal with waiting for y'all to add Currency/Second, I'm working on how that could be done. It's tricky, and much respect for you considering you also are very new/amateur at coding, and you could create something like this.

Im having an issue where is my web browser is zoomed out to anything less than 100% then i cant see everything. When i zoom out everything in the web browser shrinks like you would expect, text play window and all but everything inside the play window doesn't scale down with everything else and everything to the right and on the bottom gets cut off. Not sure if it just windows explorer or the game itself because I didn't try it on chrome or firefox. But i thought i should bring it up on the off chance you guys didn't know. Besides that; very addictive game. Great work.

really awesome idle game, but I don't get why the oil company upgrade is suddenly cheaper than all other upgrades when u have ~300 of everything. it's odd that the price structure is reversed somewhere along the game. is that on purpose?

I don't know the exact number of idle games of this ilk I have played over the last few years but this game is great. The Angel Investor feature makes the replay value actually enjoyable and makes the seemingly out-of-reach prices of late game items (like the 500th Newspaper for example...) an attainable goal without just leaving a tab open for however many weeks. I'm shocked at the dedication by the dev team to improve a game so seemingly simple. Hope to see more great stuff in the future games - but let's see what all these new hinted at features are going to be, first!

@Thjoass its not impossible, just takes awhile. granted it takes alot of time, but isnt that why your here? still takes me a few days, and i have 16 billion investors

At the risk of making a reference everyone else on this site is too young for: REWRITES is the DEVIL! Rewrites tend to transform your problems rather than solve them.
You might consider spending some of that two week period reading Working Effectively with Legacy Code (Feathers) and the rest of the time pinning and refactoring what you have. It's a shorter path to what you want (the same game but better) than a rewrite is.

Their must be some time addendum affixed to the angel investor equation.
Proof:
Cash Earned = 44 quintillion
All Time Cash Earned = 64 quintillion
Angel Investors = 21,562
Earnable -through reset- Angel Investors = 16,724

@Ricue you haven't taken into account how often they pay out per second, oil takes some time to complete one cycle whereas the smaller business' can complete many time in the space of 1 second.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Any sort of longevity this game has is kinda ruined by the fact it runs offline. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be able to shut my pc down at night, but going to sleep and waking up with 1.6 million more investors kinda ruins the replay-ability in my opinion.

I would like a x100 button, i'm the kind of person who likes to plan ahead, and since i don't want to waste my money on the useless journal deliveries until i have enough to buy a whole 100 of them to complete the achievements. It would really be handy to have a x100 button ...

If you leveled up all the businesses to the same value (eg. 100, 200, etc.) gave them all the same amount of upgrades. Then, based on per second gains, this is the percentage of funds each of them gives you: Oil: 75.593%, Banks: 16.429%, Film: 5.273%, Hockey: 1.830%, Shrimp: 0.615%, Donuts: 0.212%, Pizza: 0.037%, Soap: 0.010%, Newspapers: 0.002%, and Lemons: 0.000%. That is not to say that lemons are 0 but the value is too low to register (something like 0.0000938%). That means that Oil and Banks make up 92.022% of all gains. This seems a little lopsided. Please look into it.

That feeling of how the developers treat this game with such genuine enthusiasm.. It's so heart warming. I refer to the july 8 news in particular.

35 billion angels and I still can't get 500 of each.
It's like the angels do nothing. I could reset and get another two billion angels, but it's not like it would add 360,000,000% (when upgraded to 6%).
How's the math on the angels work?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
That formula is the same as AI= Sqrt(AllTimeCashEarned/44444444444)
If you solve 10^13/255 = 44444444444.444... (Just call it 11 fours for simplicity)
So you have AI^2 * 44444444444 = All Time Cash Earned
Divide both sides by 44444444444 and you have
AI^2 = All Time Cashed Earned/44444444444
Take the sqrt of both sides and
AI = SQRT(AllTimeCashEarned/11Fours) Same thing, just different. :)

This is the best most awful game I've ever played. I'm at 2400 Angel Investors and I keep logging on each day. The fact that it has 2 mil plays makes me wonder why I'm programming graph generators to learn .NET skills instead of doing stuff in Unity. Great job devs. I'm only teasing about it being awful - it's not - I have fun with this while I'm working on Visual Studio - it's just interesting how relatively simple a game can be and get 2 mil plays.

Let's wait what amazing surprise brings next realese!

((Angel Investors)^2) * (10^13) / 225 = All Time Cash required
got this from someone else on here - but his comment has been buried.

"3) Just a quick FYI – you may be noticing that some investments can be bought, even if you don’t have enough cash. This is due to the x10 feature – it will show you how much x10 of an investment are, but it will still let you buy as many as you can afford if you click it. We’re considering locking the buy buttons if you can’t afford the full 10 – let us know what you think!"
I support this!
