Hmm last year some time I played this game for a month straight and got every award.. since then my game has reset.. It is overwhelming to think how much time that must have taken.. the hardest awards were killing the queen and getting the 10 combo

Conld-easiest way is probably just lob a grenade at it =). HAs anyone actually got all the awards? I need 40 more 0_0.

How to kill Razor Queen:
Get Box Gun and reactive armor.
When queen lunges you, hit her between front claws and middle claws, repeat, then run to the corner and place Box Gun, run away from it.
When queen starts going to the box gun, you will have just about time to swing up to 3 times.
Beware of middle claws.

if you guys are wondering how to kill a razor queen i figured it out. you have to wait for it to lung at you hten you start swinging in between its front blades and center blades. I havent actually killed a razor queen but i managed to get three hits on before it killed me. RATE UP TO PRESERVE FOR OTHER PLAYERS!

@ HollowIchi: You need a completed bestiary, and I believe you need to have cleared all three nests at least once. Once you've done that, the way to make it show up is the same as a regular queen: random chance. Yes, an audible groan is an appropriate response. Mow glooples down until there are only about 8 or so, and wait. With any luck, it'll show up. Speaking of which, I *cannot* get the Queensbane medal! I've managed to find two queens so far, but I've been searching for a third for the last hour and one *will not appear* no matter how long I stay with 3-8 glooples remaining in the nest. Being at the mercy of the Random Number God is not a pleasant feeling. T_T

Ahhh, a Void Eater spawned, and I was in a great position to kill it while it was charging up it's beam so I could get the award. And then a Grinder ran over it. jerk.

Anyone who says this game is "Glitchy" or "stupid" translates into "I suck at this game so I'll rant on it than the comments and get an under rated threshold"

@Megaritish1 ya, then you see a blue guy while stacking them and cant shake them off fast enough, get hit by a yellow, then die :-(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Clutters are your friends, they spit their babies to you then you shake them off and then you hit them then EPIC COMBO! LOL :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
u kno wut happened to me? a group of clutters ganged up on me. it wuz not pretty. got an award for it. not being ganged by clutters, being a pacifist
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ Killingchamp: They become much more manageable once you get the hazard suit. It'll destroy any baby clutters that land on you instantly. In other news, more experimentation in practice mode reveals that queens are unaffected by meltie acid and inkie goo, but *are* affected by void eaters' abilities. Grinders and horrors can still kill them as well. Interestingly, grinders can still instantly kill horrors, even if they're still in "invincible mode".

I think this is the first game I've played where you can listen to lively jazz music while swinging a large weapon around trying to murder dangerous, slimy enemies.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wooaaahh didn't think that was possible. I got a normal queen at 30 glooples left while clearing a big nest... Shit. You know how hard they are to kill with two sharps, a grinder, two of the fuzzy ones, a few biters, and two acids on the screen? ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. Lol.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, interesting factoid I just discovered (not sure if it's a bug or not): Grinders are unaffected by both the gravity wells and density beams of void eaters -- furthermore, if a grinder comes in contact with a void eater, nothing happens! The shockwave does remove grinders' armour, though.

So the thing is to slap blobs , get specieas (or whatever its called) and have fun? Well good news is i love this game and i think this game will deserve a 5*s in the rating

(Last one!!1!) I don't want to sound like an unnecessarily harsh critic however, so I would like to point out the game's strengths as well. I highly enjoyed the bestiary entries -- I love worldbuilding in media, and every one of the bestiary entries is magnificently done and contains many interesting facts. The variation of enemies is very good as well; you came up with some interesting ideas, and I always enjoyed finding new enemies. I like the reverse mitosis thing as well, except for the fact it's dictated mainly by the Random Creature Spawner, at least in the first stage. I think it would be interesting to have a gloople that is of little threat on its own, but purposefully tries to cause reverse mitosis to mutate into a formidable threat. Oh, and I loved the snarky descriptions of the awards, they were very humourous. :) I gave this a 4/5 -- hopefully you can integrate some of the community's ideas into the sequel.

(...And again. This is going to be a long one.) I'll end with a minor nitpick: Like many others, I would have liked to see some kind of story or plotline -- with games like this, I usually get bored quickly if there isn't one. I ask myself "why am I doing this? What's the point of this?" If there's no plot justification, I tend to get bored and walk away eventually. (One of the reasons I was surprised to keep coming back to this) As others have pointed out, the game's setting does seem to have a lot of plot potential, so something like that would be possible, I think.

(Direct continuation of previous post) This is made even worse by the fact that the player character is a one hit point wonder -- the tiniest mistake can make you restart, especially since random chance can really mess you up at the worst moments possible. Also, some of the miscellaneous awards are really obscure and difficult to find -- a hint or their name at least would be very helpful. Many of the harder rewards also depend heavily on random chance -- let's face it, who got the final combo award set up that perfect scenario all on their own? 99% of the time, you're going to have a split-second opportunity given to you by the Random Creature Spawner. The "Impressionist" award, too -- sometimes it's one of the last I can find, sometimes I get it completely by accident. Everything is going to have some degree of random chance in it, yes, but you have to be careful not to take it too far or things will become unbalanced.

(Splitting this into multiple parts, Kongregate really needs to expand the character limit)
An oddly addicting game... I'm normally not into these kinds of "mindlessly kill everything in sight" games, but this one appealed to me for some reason...at least, enough to keep me coming back to get 107 awards. :o It's far from perfect though...a few flaws I would like to point out: Many of the single nests are much longer than they really should be; even the small nest can take a ridiculous amount of time to plow through. This wouldn't be *too* bad if not for the fact that you included the highly frustrating "if you die, you have to repeat the entire thing all over again from the beginning" mechanic. Having to do the same thing over and over again just to get to the part you were before is neither fun nor challenging, merely frustrating.
