I have to disagree about the controls being obtuse- it's point and click, could it be simpler?

Decent game but am I alone in saying it's HARD. And really when you think about it, it's hard because the controls are a bit obtuse. But the concept is very nice 4/5.

Also, I'm terribly, terribly, awfully sorry by the fact that people are being led to calling the bastards by "names". It's sad - it's as if this game meant anything.

My comments on the game are exactly the opposite of everything Alnore said below me. There's no strategy involved whatsoever when the game plunges you headfirst into a completely unwinnable situation and when the game PUNISHES you for using alternate ways of killing bastards (by not counting as "kills", thus making the match longer). The game uses no balance when choosing what kinds of bastards to send towards you, which results in stupidly tough situations after a repetitive, dull, boring 5 hour match for the Huge nest. Sometimes I think the "random" function is the greatest curse upon videogaming.
One of the awards said "you DO read the tips! I'm so proud of you!". Yeah, I do read the tips - I read one that said "null". That was probably the best tip in this huge, practical example of the "it's not a bug, it's a feature!" strategy.

Awesome game! The variety of enemies is great, and the fact that you can't swing your sword while moving (and the lag associated with attacking) means that you can't just blindly click the mouse while running around. You need to use strategy and planning depending on the situation, and the plethora of awards gives this game amazing replay value. The rewards add another level of depth to the game, especially when you reach the point when you can take more than one reward with you. The bestiary and the author's comments on the awards you've won are a nice touch, and although this game's graphics could be improved, it has a wide variety of music to acompany it. Overall, this is one of the most entertaining games i've played in a while. 5/5

This is seriously a well-made game. The award system makes it interesting, I like the scientific explanations of the glooples and rewards, and it's just plain fun.

Needs a small border around the outside. Otherwise, if you go to move to the outside edge, you often put the mouse beyond the game, and thus can no longer click to attack.

whoa i just figured out that if you click the sword thingy in the hand it will toggel hardcore mode good for completeing you beastiary thing.. :D

This game is awesome addmitedly it can get a little less exiting when all the awards are collected but it is still brilliant.
