To kill the sharp run behind it and it will turn into a regular gloople which then of course you hit it.
For the Gray wait until it sends out it's spear when that happens quickly go out and hit it. Takes a few swings though!

Okay, a couple of tips of varying degrees of obviousness:
If you're looking for grays, horrors or void eaters then don't kill oozles, biters or grays respectively.
To kill a gray hit it while its tendril is extending (you need to do this three times).
To kill a void eater run up to it and hit it (once is enough) while it's charging its line thingy (surviving till it does this is made an astounding ammount easier if you have the hazard suit).
If you're looking for (razor) queens then get to the end of a small (or any other kind) nest, leave 1 gloopie alive and then don't kill whatever comes until a queen shows up (amalgams screw this up 'cause they're boderline impossible to get off the screen, to get biters off the screen stand near an edge and move out of the way as they lunge at you).
Don't know why I typed all of that out for you, but there it is.

To find a torchie for the first time do a big or huge nest and they come when you are a few hundred glooples into the nest.

ppl if you are trying to get the razor queen keep 1 goople a alive in a nest then wait queen or razor queen try if it don't work

how to get the fire ward award? easy get lit on fire by a torch and then frost gets on you and there ya have it fire ward

the queen is just a easy target,the razor queen is muh bigger,scarier and more powerful,in hardcore mode every sort of creatures come together,no waiting. if u kill razor queen in a nest u get a key to unlock a very powerful weapon. hope this helped

hardcore mode: after you unlock 25 awards, go to the main menu and click on the sword being bitten by a biter icon, to the left... you'll play on hardcore mode.
