Wires - When you collect your 'gift' open inventory and open the gift, put on the goggles, click the floating orb thing [eye] and have it search for the wires.
Red box/cube/thread - In the area where you cut down the tree, there are rocks to the left, go as far left as you can [while keeping to the lower level] and then click the eye icon [too look] and you'l find it.

in the blue area go to the very end and you'll go behind some rocks and press the only button and he'll find the red thread

to add to my last post what it means is you have to put in the red thread when the tree is red, green when green, blue when blue. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC ORDER!!

SPOILER: To get the money:
"Order" something rare from Bob, then steal the screwdriver from the toolbox while he's gone, then you screw open the thing in the park. Then, shock the circuit board with the tazer, which will give Steve an idea, then go talk to the oldy and use "plan C", then zap the circuit thing again when he goes over to drink. Then. go to the bank, and he'll be in the tree, and then you just have to talk to him.
