Very great game with very much potential.
Still an endless mode would be awesome and in my opinion the abilities of the enemys (except ninja) are unimportant because they die anyway.
The bosses should be immune to fear because they are extremely easy.
What I like is the fact that you CANT reset your abilities, even if it would be nice after the end of the game, because you actually have to think how you set your points.
I could rant longer but i dont need to.
Great game, can´t wait for sequel 5/5

Trick to ninjas is to have tower(s) at or really close to the start of the map and then a whole bunch of high end towers near your gems. The first tower triggers their power, the last towers kill them before they can touch your gems. It works for bosses too, but be ready to use frenzy (with all points in it) right when it comes out of stealth.

OK, some of these levels are total BS. How can you get Brilliant when the stupid ninja pops out and hits your gem in under 5 seconds, cloaked the entire time?!? No worries, Maxed mana with spammed meteors takes care of it! Except, how exactly do you manually click to drop 4 or 5 meteors onto the ninja that clears the area in under 5 seconds? Unless you can some kind of uber clicking-god or something, you are screwed. There are NO HOTKEYS, and you can't pause the game and give orders, so you are hozed.

Honestly, why is the tower targeting so pathetic? Why on earth would any tower target /anything/ other than the enemies carrying the gems???

Dealing with the ninja bosses is extremely difficult, but not impossible--and doesn't require gambling on freeze. Upgraded, you can unleash 5 meteor spells in a single round if you can do it quickly enough, and guarding the entry points with burning evil eye towers also helps.
At normal game speed and with your keyboard hand on escape, press attack, then meteor, then quickly cast the moment you see the ninja and immediately press escape. While paused, hover mouse over meteor, then hit escape, click, jump to ninja and click, and immediately press escape again. Luckily you don't have to be terribly accurate with the actual spell casting, but note escape cancels meteor while selected--you can only pause for the return trip. Rinse and repeat until boss is dead.
It's a far more ridiculous solution than proper hotkeys, but at least you aren't gambling on random (and poor) chance. Using this technique, I've just succeeded at 3 of the 4 hardest levels.

Fun challenge: Try to beat all of the Easy and Medium levels, scoring Excellent or better, with no more than THREE towers per map. It can be done!

After beating all 15 levels are beaten, you should unlock an unlimited mode, selectable from the mission screen. It should also be for all levels. (I.E: play through level one forever, or even level eight forever.) It would be a fun addition. I give the game a 5/5, can't wait to see if there'll be another one.

If 1,504 of us have been able to get the 'hard' badge, I would say it is very much possible for everyone to do. If nothing else just beat the last two levels over and over again until you have all the skills maxxed out. Awesome game and I'm glad it has badges now. Can't wait to see the next one!

Ninja bosses are luck, like on level 11. If the ninja boss comes through the top and the freeze attack doesn't go off on the first hit there's NO way to win.. you can't get a perfect round! ugh.

Is it me or is the hard badge better named impossible. The last five are ridiculous to get a brilliant on. The advice of using comets would be nice if they did enough damage to kill the ninja boss. Without a hot key I cannot move fast enough and he never comes out until right on gems so completely impossible for me to win last badge.

1/5... great game but after spending 15 mins on level 9, and after killing the boss, it did not go back to the title screen and crashed...... REALLY ANNOYING!!!
