Maybe a nice idea here. When you've maxed all skills, it could be nice to be able to further increase your tower range/damage/fire rate with your otherwise useless skillpoints. Just for fun. :) And ofcourse I'd like to see some more levels, or some kind of endless level. Hotkeys would be nice too. Anyway, awesome game ^^

I have Brilliant on map 1 - 3, Excellent on map 4 - 14 and Good on map 15.
Map 15, wave 40 has this ninja boss that will bring one gem to the middle of the map. This is followed by ninjas, which will bring it to the top of the map. After that, it is just sheer luck to wait for it to return. Darn, this game is good!

Well since they already told you up there on the badges, you can meteor strike the ninjas when stealth, even the champion ninja. For those of you without enough mana, keep building. I have enough to hit him 5 times. Here I go!

ok, look down one - see everything SilverPenny wrote? Me Too (especially split volume and maybe a level control so I don't need to turn down my whole system)

you must use several meteors. If you don't have enough mana, chop trees on desert when you are nearby full mana, then when the boss appears you can have mana by putting a temple on the desert.

so far, so good. did levels 11 - 13 with that shift thing, now on lvl 14 there's a ninja champion with 2500hp, 5 meteors (upgraded) only do 2000dmg + the highest damage i've ever seen a tower do was about 280 i think so how does it work to get a brilliant rating there?

Level 11.
Flawless level.
Ninja boss comes out.
I hit him with a fireball the second he spawns.
He goes invisible.
He still gets to my gem before becoming un-invisible. I dont have enough mana to fireball him to death. He grabs a gem before my towers can start shooting him. How am I supposed to get brilliant on this level, again?

I wouldn't mind the ninja bosses if the horrible UI didn't bug out and not register clicks when you click too fast... I need to throw 5 fireballs on them but it depends entirely on if the engine decides to not be horrible after I go through 40 boring levels. Why not just have hotkeys?

this is stupid, i changed my rating to 1 star cause for me it is impossible to drop 5 meteors on the ninja bosses on waves 11 and 12 in the 2-3 seconds it takes them to snatch a gem without HOTKEYS!!!!1 call me badge addicted but keeping me from getting one not because of me lacking skills but cause of bad programming is annoying

HINT FOR NINJA BOSSES: Max mana+ Cheapest Meteor + Max Damage Meteor + hold "shift" key + multiple fast clicks = devastation & success guaranteed (almost too easy ^^)

A tip for getting the ninjas: the temples that do damage in its radius will affect invisible units, so two in a row can kill ninjas even when invisible.
Bug report: Im not sure about dens but with temples and crypts a skill exists to increase by up to %25 a special ability (ie fear, radiance) which is according to description supposed to affect either upgrade (eg both fear and mana drain crypts should have a bonus to fear) but only one upgrade benefits (eg only the fear crypt has the bonus)
hope that makes sense, and if you want this bug fixed then vote this comment to get it noticed

It sucks that to get brilliant in the last 3 levels you basically just need luck. This would be OK if you didn't have to go through 40 GODDAMN WAVES and then pray that the ninja gets feared/frozen.
3 times now, I've reached the ninja at the end of level 12 with full 500 mana (enough for 4 fireballs) and a maxed out fear tower shooting it right off the bat. One time it did get feared, but it still kept running toward the gems and touched one as soon as fear wore off. Completely random and annoying.

1. great game however irritaiting is fact that there is only one way to win this game with 15 brilliant ratings. You haveto use damn metors. I don't like using spell I prefer using only my towers, but I have to do it if I would like to win. It's more irritating because You don't have hot key for spells and the damn ninja boss is to quick. And if You made one small mistake trying to use spell You alreadyknow that You lost.

Additional levels or some sort of infinite mode would be nice - once you have all the upgrades even invented challenges are a pushover. For instance, level 15, you can use cut down + adoration to put out a temple on all 6 high ground spaces, and they'll defeat everything without you casting a single additional spell. You can also beat the level with unupgraded towers only, with only towers of a certain type, with 3 crypts...

How do you deal with the Assassins? I never lost a gem until they appear in Level 6, then all my towers just miss them and they walk away with everything!

seriously, how do you get a perfect score with boss ninjas?
and you don't need resets, just plan well or do the same track a few times. You will end up with all of them anyways.

Yes a spell hotkeys are a must. Its very hard to meteor the final ninja bosses by clicking here then there then here. I would have all Brilliants if it had a hotkey.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A lack of hotkeys amplifies the tedium immensely.
It's nicely made, but this is a particularly stupid omission that makes getting the badges very challenging where it should be easy as ****.
In particular, ninja bosses are very fast, and it's a dexterity challenge to navigate the meteor cursor over them five times.

If you completed the game before the achievements were added, just play any level to completion and you should get the badges.

I went with the skillbook of blue and green mostly. The problem is that blue towers don't hit hard enough early to get those pesky ninjas (who don't add anything to the game but annoyance). The 15xbrilliant badge is therefore pretty much impossible for me. Other than that it's pretty fun, 4/5.
