Like most people I dont understand how its at no.1 its good but there are a lot of tower defense sort of games and to me seems like a generic tower defense game 3/5

love this game lol needs a sequel with a track editor maybe even game modes like u can only use one type of tower ,endless, no spells, or make one were u don't get cash from killing but 4 putting a tower on a mine or something.

I can't believe that this game is still at the top of the list. I agree with shink12345. It's a really great game and all, but really? I might put it at #1 if there was more to it.

Awesome, just got the Hard badge. Undead towers rule, with 25% freeze and 25% fear most enemies don't get anywhere near the gems.

xizo: Build from the gems'n out, not from the enemies' spawn point and in. Plus remember to use chokepoints. Problem solved.

Awesome game. For update or future versions, it would be good if you could temporaly "deactivate" towers - cause if you have strong towers in front line, the towers behind won't get XP. Deactivating it would let the waves pass and give XP to the towers more near to the gems. + it if you think the same as me.

I think that they should make a "freeplay mode" so after you complete the set number of waves you can choose to carry on or not, this would make it easier to experience all the full upgrades of each tower. I still rate it 5/5 though!!!

It's such a great game, i wish it was longer, more waves!! more levels!!! it's awesome game, it engages you, not like other tower defense, you just let the towers do their thing, this one, you actually have to be constantly cutting trees down and throw some bombs here and there.

probbably the best game i've ever played.
just a note guys - on level 4 use the high ground on the cross for an ice unit thingymabob; they have the best range and improving their range even more means you can kill most of the first few waves with just that tower - therefore it has the chance to upgrade pretty much straight away, meaning it is even better, kills more enimies, upgrades quickly and so on...

wtf is happening to kongregate, ive played so many games 50x better. this game is shit and kongregate likes to get all hiped up on overrated shit games alot so its no wonder. this is just a poser of gemcraft. and the thing i hate most is "Rate this comment up so people can "see it"". screw all of you, you dont want help people you just want your stupid username up on the list. dont buy in to peoples shit guys. if they really want your vote up they wouldnt ask for it.

yer beat the lvl 14 ninja and got brilliant finally =)
he is a tough one even if you make him drop smoke smoke straight away his got enough hp to run all the way to the end and grab a gem before it wears off
what i did was first build the towers a certain way so he would always enter at the southeast corner i would have 3 dens down there and 1 hunter and 2 brutish? the ones that become hunters then on the high ground id put a temple turn it into hellfire if tower damage is maxed (skills +40% tower damage) you do enough to kill him with 4 meteors =)

Took a few tries to get 14 on brilliant, sometimes the boss would just take no damage on the meteor but finally did it and got the didn't touch my gems badge
