OK, I figured it out. It seems that the addition of the poison clouds makes the arrows miss. Very annoying since the arrows are dealing far more damage than the poison. If anyone reading this hasn't upgraded Dens with Poison Cloud, DON'T. It's actually a downgrade.

As you level up the Dens, their fire rate is supposed to also improve. Yet testing out a section where I used only dens before and after upgrading dens' fire rate from +28% to +31% it actually got worse. Repeated four times, same results. I'm not sure if it's just bad RNG or if it's just a fluke in enemy pacing for this specific fire rate or something.

AHAHAHA!!! I had to redo 11 SO MANY TIMES to try to beat the final ninja champion for the Brilliant rating, and then I decide to read the comments, find out that you can chain-meteor by holding shift, and then when I finally get to implement it.......... the ninja champion gets frozen and I don't even know if I needed it.
Oh well, it'll be helpful for 14 and 15.

Just thought I'd let you know, @IriySoft, I've played this game for years. I played it the day it came out (before I made an account), and I'm still coming back to play it. Kind of bittersweet that this game stands out as so dang good compared to most, but props regardless. Y'all are the bomb.com.

Fun game, but it's a bit too simple! A leveling system is fun, but it doesn't remedy the relatively small amount of important decisions made per round, especially with only three tower types.

It could be a good defense game without the ninjas, or with less powerful ninjas. A simple ninja wawe is harder to kill, than any other boss. The enemy units have a lack of balance.

To load a save, click anywhere on the game slot EXCEPT on the "New Game" button. The entire slot changes color if you mouse-over a previous save file.

this was a tough first effort at the game. The AI is brutal, NOT targeting the closest enemy. Some enemies seem to not take any damage...until they're dead. I'm on the 6th level and can't beat it, very poorly conceived in terms of difficulty matching with the leveling up. These developers are lucky gamers are not very discriminating.

Umm ... what is happening? I had not played in a while. Yesterday, I took an old saved game and completed lvl 14. Today, that progress is gone. That has never before happened to me.

I'm having the same problem on Firefox. I have three saves that have been on the account for a couple years. When I try to start a new game on one of them, I lose all progress after reloading the page. It goes back to the original three saves.

good game, ninjas only problem though. basically comes down to 50/50 chance you freeze ninja at the start. i have freeze maxed out, crypt fully upgraded.
so if you want all brilliant you just have to keep replaying until you get the roll and you freeze. ninja champion 5 secs might as well be 5 mins.

Easy and Medium badges: Acquired on Sep. 11th 2010 - Hard badge: Acquired on January 13th 2019. Not that I was trying for most of that 8 years, but how time flies...

I play games to have fun. Not to have RNG kick me in the balls and tell me to kill myself. Ninjas have got to be the worst designed enemy in the game, specifically champions who literally invis on shot and run straight to your gems with their 10 seconds of cloak bypassing every tower you have. And then you have the Crypts, which you put right at the entrance, that blow their load all at once just to have every soul beyond the first disappear once the guy goes invisible. And you get to watch with a smile on your face as it fails to fear him with 75% fear. FOR 19 F***ING ATTEMPTS IN A ROW.

The only 'strategy' for to get brilliant on 14 is to just keep doing the whole level over and hope you 'get lucky' with an ice tower freezing the ninja on the last wave.

problem with this game is that only towers hitting stuff get xp. so oftentimes only the towers at the beginning of the path get xp while the rest is getting denied any upgrades.
