I used this strategy to gold the last level at only level 22. Max out mana pool, mind control, lich king, ice mastery; basic training, meteor study, meteor mastery; gold vault, mining, & height advantage. Put 3 points into bounty hunting & mana extraction.
Build ice towers on all the high ground, top to bottom. Upgrade the top 3 to the first star as soon as you can; upgrade the bottom 3 as you have gold. Around level 8, put towers on each of the mana extraction sites to generate mana for meteor spells. Build the 4th middle ice tower site, giving you a line of 4 across the middle.
Meteor anything that gets close to the gems.
Later in the rounds, you will have extra cash after upgrades. Build the bottom 3 open rock sites, just above the gems. Build the bottom 5 grass sites around the lower ice towers. Upgrade these too.
As long as you use meteor appropriately, you should have no problem defending the gems. For the very last boss, cast frenzy first then as many meteors as you can.

@ shakkalakkaPr2 & lance95 i have so much trouble with the lvl 14 boss (ninja, 2500 health, reaches gems before stealt ends)

Great Tower Defense game, looks need, offers good strategic options and limitations.
Without the Ninja's the game would be too easy.
To win from champion Ninja's just have meteor mana cost and damage upgrades of the demon tier to the max and shift+meteor 5 times for the win.
Finished at level 36, could be sooner if I didn't neglect Demon tier.
Best tower to begin with are crypts imho!

Last two levels are impossible to get gold on as long as the bosses can activate "invincible mode" long enough to get a gem. How are you supposed to beat that?

Trying To Get Hard Badge :( its really hard especially the ninja boss,u need about max mana and max meteor skill to kill it without it snatching ur gems.Anyone Having Problems With Getting All Brilliant?

I liked it 5/5 got me addicted and played it for five days or more use he burning temple when you have a +50% tower range to really kill them and many green towers with the upgrae that hits critically and crypts

finished at level 37. Quick tip: Quality over quantity. it's better to have a few high quality towers than many first-tier towers. A good combo is the green tower that's fast combined with the burning one. 5/5, great game, got me hooked.

haha wow i was able to kill level 14 boss ninja w/o him getting my gems but i didn't get brilliant cuz round 7 guys touched my gems... i just got the middle finger : )

i will never see how this is the highest rated game on kongregate. its an average TD at best that offers nothing that another TD doesnt already offer.

the crash on the profile select screen is still not repaired im trying to complete the mirrams faction quest but without the badge from this game i wont be able to do it so until this is repaired 1/5 (i dont care if it gets rated down)

This is just my opinion. But i dont believe this should be the highest rated game on Kong....I mean its not much diffirent than most other TD games. + If you agree and if you dont i completly understand where you are coming from BUT IT NEEDS IMPROVMENT

I hit a champion ninja with 1750 HP with 5 meteors, each doing 400 damage. It still got one of my gems out of the crater/gem nest/whatever that is. I hate ninjas so much.

I don't like the ninjas. They go against the whole point of the game! Here, go build all these towers, kill guys with these towers, upgrade these towers-- oh, the joke's on you, we just walked past your towers. I don't like losing a strategy game because I couldn't *aim* well enough. Aside from that, good game.

Honestly, I don't see how this game is the best on the site. It's just another tower defense game with different towers and different enemies. Sorry if you find this offensive but thats what I think.

is there actualy a way to get brilliant with out using fully upgraded meteors on ninja bosses at end one (besides freeze but thats just luck)

i dunno, i guess it would be better if the auto aim system for towers was changable (for example, go for first person, last person, enemy with gems) for priority. over then that its epic

Everyone still experiencing the level 999 can't create a new account bug, this is possibly do to you not allowing flash games to save data to your computer. Just change your flash settings to fix this.

Every time I load this game I get to choose a profile, level 999 and it wouldn't allow me to start it.. I thought that bug was fixed?

This is one of my favorite tower defense games. It's sponsor across all websites, Kongregate, Newgrounds, ect. And I've played it on all of them all the way through 15 Brilliant Ratings and that was before there were badges for it.
It is really very cutting edge for web-based tower-defense. Like Starcraft's Defense maps such as Defend the Ship or Defend the Castle, this game has a point, the Enemy's have an objective, unlike those maps this game is honed and polished.
I am really looking forward to a Cursed Treasure 2!!!
