I know it's been said before, but the specific reason why spell hotkeys MUST be implemented is because there are certain stages which end with "Ninja" Champions where there is simply not enough time to hit them with the required amount of meteors. Even with a full +40% fully upgraded AoE temple (the highest single hit damage in the game, with an additional slow effect), it takes four fully upgraded meteors to finish them off, and they invisibly reach the gems in enough time for three at best. Literally the ONLY other way to defeat them is to make sure they're hit by a Crypt and pray that the 25% chance to freeze triggers on them. If it fails, you have to restart the level. Period.

The secret? Backbuild first, then after about 10 waves or so, crypts up front. The key is to have a lot of fully upgraded crypts. You hit ninjas hard and stun them so they come back visible and get hit by the backfield. Remember to chop down trees for the cash to build up. It is totally doable though. I didn't even need my meteors for the ninjas.

How do you get Brilliant on level 14? The ninja champion seems like he can run all the way to the gems in 5 sec, nabbing one right before stealth breaks.

im level 17 and got demon up all the way and getting up the frost one and the ninja bosses are getting easy idk about the orc area didnt use them all that much but they help a lot to get the ninja's to go invisible early

beautiful game, well made, great upgrades, good variety of enemies, and lastly, my only complaint is that the thief champions are a little hard to kill, especially on lvl 7..... other than that INFINITY/5

a Max damage +40% fearful tower + 5 full power meteors will kill the lvl 14 ninja boss without freeze or fear. basically build the lvl so that the non boss ninjas are hit near the entrances, even put a single orc next to each entrance. then delete any non-fearful that can reach the entrance after lvl 49. so use only frost on the hills and no orc/demon near the entrances. and you can do it.

Only complaint is that the only two types of enemies that you actually care about are ninjas, and to a smaller degree assassins.

Ninjas - no problem - Ninja Champions, absolute BITCH! And thats not my main problem, my main problem is that once the Ninja champs come in, its almost impossible to stop them from getting to a gem, and as such it is almost impossible to get the brilliant medal on specific levels. I am not unreasonable, but I feel that brilliant should be rewarded if you save all 5 gems

unless its been updated, final wave bosses for lvl 14 and 15 WONT DIE after 5 MAX UPGRADE METEORS! so unless a super tower managed to snag a couple hunder HP from final bosses, 2000 dmg from 5 metoers wont do it.

Now that the badges are here i'm kinda annoyed because i completely finished the game on another site.i think i had to go though each map about 2-5 times to level and get all the brilliants so this is NOT one of the games i would replay just for badges. -_-
And to all those people having problems with boss ninjas, fully upgraded mana pool, meteor study and mastery should be enough to kill them if you let your mana fill up to the max.

The only difficulty is the Ninja bosses, as countless others have said. Unless you've built specifically against a Ninja boss, your Brilliant is screwed. And if you build it for the boss, then you might be screwed by creeps anyway. Balancing would be nice, since fighting to the last wave to find that your Chilling/Fearful Crypt didn't Fear the boss, which then goes invisible all the way to the gems, is not "difficult," its a balancing issue. One should not have to plot their entire build for a single enemy.

Other than that it's a fantastic game!

Ninja bosses are the only threat. Sucks pretty hard that tower placement revolves solely around that one enemy type : ( Would be nice if the towers that could deal splash damage would still trigger even if ninja's are smoke-bombed, namely the fire spread towers. Fun game, tho! 4/5

Not sure what the difference is between Brilliant and Excellent. Is it the amount of resources used? That's kinda bad, since I tend to use more earlier on before I know how I'm really going to do. However, I can just go back later, which I love. The game has some difficulty, but it's not terrible (though I haven't finished). So far, 4/5: I'd like separate music/SFX mute; the graphics are about 85% good; and ninjas do seem a little unbalanced, because sometimes an otherwise good build might get screwed by the 5 second invisibility.

Spell Hot Keys PLEASE. I get the meteor against ninjas. But having to go back to click between casts is just ridiculous. Also add the ability to increase Meteor spells blast radius.

Brilliant ratings aren't that tough. There should only be ONE challenge toward getting the brilliant ratings, and that is the Ninja Boss. Easy solution: 500 mana, 100 mana per meteor strike, 400 damage per meteor strike. IIRC the TOP Ninja Boss has less than 2k hp. Shouldn't be a problem.

i like it very much but i agree with silver penny it need a spell hot key :D u got my 5/5. Also i think you add different difficulties i think people agree on that (btw sorry for my bad spelling) overall great game i like it not hard to learn and very very entretaining!

5/5 And IT should have Badges plus the bad thing only apart of this is that the theifs shadow and you cant attack him even if he has a gem only the hellburnner can kill it when its in shadow form

Ok, to all that are complaining about the ninjas it's really quiet simple place some temples at the start because they'll hit the unit regardless and then place several temples with the AOE attack to get the hidden ones when the detect the visible ones passing.

Honestly the Boss thief is stupid, he litterally walks 5 feet from the gems in level 7 before he reappears. Thats just a bit ridiculous.

easily the best TD Ive ever played. Normally i don't bother trying to get the maximum rating on a level, but im hooked to get brilliant on all. Please release extra maps soon!!!

How to beat a thief champion; establish as many ice towers as possible, then hit it (as close to the start as you can) then use all your mana on fire balls hopefully that will kill it =]

good game, just got some really shit ideas like the asassins who doge half the hits (well its meant to be 50% but mostly end up missing) they ruined the game along with those bastards that turn invisible but they aint so bad thats why im not gunna try finishing it.
