for most level the last round is an invisible boss...and move rather fast too! so hard to prevent him from sneaking the gems.

Secondary note about ninjas: using a smoke bomb stops missiles that have already been launched, whether they are homing or not. Why? Smoke bombs do not, to my knowledge, stop fire, balls of ice, or physical bolts and ballistae from reaching their prior-determined destination.

Oh, along with a delay with the ninja flash to activate, also to make it shorter so that there is a bit more time to attack them before they reach a gem.(or at least so that they decloack at the same point in the map, that the delay in the activation doesn't push it further up)

This is a wonderful gem (ha, ha) of a game on this site (which, I'm sure, is why it is currently the top-rated game).
The TWO things that could make it infinitely better are: 1) A reset skills button and 2) Hotkeys or SOME other way of dealing with a boss ninja. Slower movement would be an option.
As it is, killing a boss ninja for "Brilliant" depends entirely on luck (freeze is the ONLY thing that will stop them) or excellent control of mouse movement. Hotkeys would allow meteor spam, and slower ninjas could be hit on entrance, break stealth before arriving, and die.

This has to be the greatest Tower game up to now. And yeah, It is better than Gemcraft.
BUT!!!
Some levels are impossible to get at ''Brilliant'' because the last champion is a Ninja. I tried EVERYTHING !!! For example, level 7. I had like everything with a tower, I made them fast with the spell, turned him invisible as soon as possible with a Temple and blasted him repeatedly with Meteor. Guess what ? He touches ONE gem everytime, and I dont get ''Brilliant''... :-(
It's the onky thing I didn't like and its my ego that is pissed, not me against the game.

WooooT!! All Brilliant at Lvl 40!! the key to defeat the ninja boss are Fear Tower, Beholder Temple and Lots of Luck.

Great game. The only annoying thing is when you have last wave and one gem and the boss gets away with your last gem. Stuck at a wave and it happened to me 4 times now...

I would recommend that one get 1 or 2 skill points for every level of performance, like "excellent" might give say, 4 points of skill for example. One would get more skill points from a level by replaying it and getting a better rating (which would give you points equal to the difference between your current rating of that level, and your new one)
This would reward people better for playing better. It would also make it so that one doesn't feel tempted to keep on replaying a level to build up, which can be boring, and gives the levels a more standardized amount of difficulty to measure your skill level/progress by.
lastly, I agree with others that there should be a option to reset your skill picks.
Some waves are much harder then others, and it seems to be in a mixed order. In other words, some earlier waves can be much harder then some latter waves, sometimes even with the same number and level of towers.

This is a nice game, but there are a few things that could be fixed/improved.
Crypt charges are a bit buggy and unpredictable in how they work. I submitted a bug report with details.
Ninjas flash should take a second or two to activate so one can actually hit them with decent damage before they vanish, so its not just about what kind of damage you can pile in at the end when the flash wears off. Especially frustrating if the ninjas are mixed in with other units so that the ninjas don't get hit right away, and it takes too long for the flash to wear off so you can kill them before they get a gem. I do like the ninjas ability though, it is interesting.
The blade dancer guys seem to avoid alot more then 50% of missiles, and seem to always manage to avoid spells, which makes them too difficult to deal with.

Another addition that would be nice is a survival mode either just for fun or to level up on, because grinding to be able to beat the last level when I've beat the rest is a little irksome but all in all great game.

Most enemies are laughably easy. The ninjas and assassins are insanely hard.
Give the ninjas a shorter cloak time, give the assassins less dodge, and give everyone else more health.

great game 5/5 just got all brilliant badges @ level 38.
for those calling for a respec, in order to beat the game with all brilliants you're going to need powered up towers of all kinds. it's not like you can concentrate just in the blue and romp that way. some levels you'll need a lot of points invested in the chop spell to open room and farm gold in order to place strong red towers, other times you'll need strong reds but also a lot of mana to use fireballs on the thief bosses. a respec seems needed at first, but as you play you'll see it's totally unnecessary

Two things that would make this the greatest tower defense ever.
Hot Keys - Help people get set up at the start, so they don't miss out on mana or other things they may want to do.
Restat - We don't always know what will work well, so it would be nice to test out a build scrap it and go again. Even if the restart cost you a level or all the exp of your current level to do.

It's a good game, it just gets a little repetitive. Graphics are great, game play is great, longevity is lacking though. It seems to be the same old stuff every level.

I am a 5/5 on this game. With all the other feed back like a reset skills button and fast forward bonuses, this game could be so much more than it is.

This is definitely NOT the best game on Kongregate. Repetitive and makes my fingers sore. Not bad but not that great... Not that original either. To me its just another TD game.

This game is not just amazing on so many levels it is also mildly addicting I have been playing this game for the past week and it just doesnt get old. this might even surpass bloons tower defense 4 (which I thought was impossible). Hoping that you are working on a sequel of some kind, maybe more towers/levels/storyline maybe???? 11/10 for this game and looking forward to your future work!

a great simple tower defense way to not complicate things by making a bunch of towers
simple yet fun thats the way to go 5/5

this game rox!!! only thing i would like to see is mabey a map editor that could be unlocked, mabey more upgrade branches and/or the ability to mix towers to get different attributes or mines of some sort.

edit : Great game. I do wish it had an "are you sure you want to sell your tower" prompt after you click 'sell tower'. I accidentally sold high level towers more than once lol. Thanks for making an awesome game.

to beat a thief champ, just get to min lvl 20, master all of ghost tech tree and master some of demon tech tree. make sure you have the meteor mastery and meteor dmg upgrade. max those 2, and simply nuke ninja bosses on sight.they should die after being nuked 5 times (500 mana, 100 mana per meteor) hope this helps

Overall I really enjoyed the game, great layout, upgrade system, etc.
-A few things that I would suggest that you change, would possible make the boss ninjas move a bit slower to counter act their invisibility, because on some levels it is almost impossible to get brilliant.
-Also adding hot keys for the spells and towers would be nice! So I could fast-cast meteors on boss ninjas.
-Potential reset skills button, although I do like the undo button!

Does anyone know what the parameters for getting brilliant are? I will finish a map with all gems left and only get the silver. Does it have to do with money? Number of towers? What??
