Fu*ck invisible mobs, especially bosses. freakin impossible to detect and totally impossible to defeat before they touch my freakin jewels.

I'd suggest making a tower that detects invisibility at max level. Hotkeys please. Anyone else think the thing the guys holding on main page looks like a big pick of destiny?

About ninjas, there are 3 strategies to counter ninjas, to get brilliants on the last few levels, you must use them all.
1. Put a tower near the entrence(s) to "trigger" the smoke bomb early so they are unprotected near your real defences near your base (Note this will not work with fast ninja bosses or small maps)
2. Splash Damage, either the missile tower or the fire tower will trigger when an enemy is detected, this will ALSO attack any ninjas in the radius. This is less effective in pure ninja waves.
3. Instakill/fear/freeze, the fear towers are devistating on both ninjas and others alike.
4. Obviously comets to kill the ninjas the slipped by.

I want to point out, a winning strategy for me is mostly red explode towers and fear towers, but other tactics might work as well. As for those rogues that dodge, I recommend using the frenzy spell to kill those with ease. :) PM me if you would like any additional help

One of the better TD games. Kept me coming back a few days in a row. More levels would be nice. PLEASE ADD A STAT RESET BUTTON. I feel I don't get to try out enough of the great aspects of this game. 5/5

I have beat the game with all 15 brilliants. I have to say, this game is amazing. Though when it comes to the last ninja bosses its all about upgraded meteor strikes and timing. For those struggling, I recommend focusing on the demon and undead path, and dont be afraid to replay for xp.

I think this is one of the best TD games up to date.
It's soo simple yet soo enjoyable.
I spent days hooked onto this game, and I still am.
As everyone was saying, hot keys would be nice for the spells.
I expect to see a sequel with more towers and lvls just to add to the fun.
Otherwise great game!
It's a 5/5 for me without a doubt.

NINJA DEFEAT STRATEGY HERE (Does not work on champs): The ninjas just can't be targeted. They can still be hit. The aura temples can hit them if another enemy is in range.

I'm not really a TD fan and have only really enjoyed 2 in the last few years: GemCraft and Bloons. I have to say I can now add this as a 3rd. Well done in so many ways and kept me entertained!

Brilliant Shine Challenge- is not as easy as it seems, the ninjas on the 5th are really hard. took me to leveling up till level 12

anyone see a max level? because without the ability to redistribute the points, if the max level is lower than the amount of points needed to max everything thats kinda bull. i agree with hotkeys for spells, but i'd also like to see a larger upgrade system with more varience, for both the towers and the skills

The ninja smoke bombs are really overpowered. They should last for maybe two seconds, not five. They use them in the beginning, and by the time they wear off the things are already in your cave.

finally got brilliant on lvl 14
my hellfire tower on high ground blazed the 2.5k hp ninja boss, and i meteored him 5 times, so he died!! finally!!!

Ninja champions and pirates are too powerful, especially early on, 1 pirate wave managed to steal all five of my gems where no other wave could get close, except for the ninja chamion who i did not have enough mana to meteor 3 times. My 5 chilling crypts missed all their shots against the pirates, and my remaining defences could not do enough damage before they left the attack radius. Ninja's smoke bomb gives them just enough time to reach the cave regardless of the map, AND all shots fired at them disapear once they activate the smoke bomb (14 out of 15 of my crypts shots vanished against the ninja champion after he activated, effectly rendering their stockpiling ability useless)

OMG FINALLY! Getting "brilliant" in lvl 14 was by far the most difficult. This is how to do it: Get "Mind Control" skill fully upgraded, and get your Fear Towers (Crypts) fully upgraded in the map, but dont put them close to where enemies come from, keep them closer to your gems, this will buy you extra time when Ninja Champion runs away in fear (because there is more distance to run now), also sell all your other towers before the ninja comes so you can be sure he will only get hit by fear towers, now use Meteor 5 times on his big ninja head and kill him for good.

This game is definitely a 5/5. However, when you're going for hard level brilliants, and it falls down to luck whether you hit or not hit the guy going for your gem, that blows. My suggestion is make the theif's vulnerable to meteor shower 100%. When you play for half and hour on one level perfectly and it comes down to one guy touching your gem for a millesecond and voiding the brillaint, something has just gone wrong.

Great game!
If you know how to play 'em, deamons are the best. I'm level 21, got brilliant (without bigger problems) at 14/15 maps. Sure, you'll need undead for mana and orc for money, but e decent deamon (gem return, meteor) can really kick!
Wold love to see a sequal/more maps, can't stop playing. My new favourite next to Defender/protector-series :)

maybe add a random terrain change spell, or a specialized one for each skill path, like halfway through orc path unlock pasture spell. or undead get blizzard spell and demons have unholy devestation spell. changin terrain to grass(orc) snow (undead) or rock (demons)

As far as my experience reaches I would advice people to skill in undead skills. Demon seems nice at the start, but is useless in most positions because of its limited range. Undead on the other hand has massive range. Ergo, undead is best.
Orc towers are just bad damage wise, in comparison to the others (especially undead), and undead has about same damage output as demon I would believe, but higher range. Ergo undead is best.
Also you will need a lot of mana to take down ninjas and hard waves, plus cutting down trees, and undead gives you a lot more mana. Both demon and orc skills are pretty useless. Orc skills sucks, while some demon skills are good, but some ain't. Undead has pretty much good skills all over. Ergo undead is best.
TL;DR: Undead pwns the other "races", skill the frosty towers!

It seems like the assassin units dodge a LOT more than 50% of projectiles, and I counted one of four or five times when I threw a meteor at them and they all dodged it. It's fun, but it needs to be balanced better.

I'd rate this game a 6 if I could. Or for that matter, a 6 bajillion. Best game I've ever played on Kongregate I believe. So professional. Kudos Iriysoft!

I think what makes this TD so well-liked is the simplicity of it. It doesn't have a complicated concept or interface, but the skills make it well-rounded and fun to continue playing. I would like to see some even harder achievements, since I'd love to go for an impossible badge..maybe a wave mode?

Phsyco, click the spell symbol again to deactivate it, unless your talking about the Frenzy, which goes of automatically, you can do the same with towers.

Anyone else having the issue where it won't load at all? I've come back three days in a row and it always freezes after the initial loading period when the "Cursed Gems" title has faded, but the subtitle "Don't touch mt gems" is still visible. I've have the most current version of Flash, and I don't have any problem with any other games. kiteoni@gmail.com, if you have any idea. Thanks!

BoneyBoy, the ninja champions and ninjas are all that get past my turrets, even then barely. I'm guessing you played 3rd or 4th level, and didn't get a brilliant, and ragequit. Give th game a chance, the meteor way of stopping them is even in the description. Save your mana for those waves with ninjas in the beggining, and get the meteor research and max mana upgrades early on to nuke things when they get close to get a brilliant.
