I'm frustrated by the inconsistent nature of upgrades on the challenge maps. I've been to the developer's homepage, Armor Games, and through pages of comments here without finding anything offering more information. To give specific examples, let's look at Heroic Mode. For the Wizards' Tower, "Spell Reach" and "Empowered Magic" seem to work, but "Hermetic Study" and "Slow Curse" do not. For the Meteor Spell, "Scorched Earth" and "Blazing Earth" work fine, but "Blazing Skies," "Fast and Furious," and "Cataclysm" do nothing. For Reinforcements, it appears _everything_ works. Everything still functions properly in the normal game mode, but upgrades are nullified seemingly randomly in the challenge modes. If there's a pattern I'm missing, then I'm fine with that: it's a challenge mode and limiting upgrade options increase the challenge. But I can find no information about which upgrades are enabled, and many are hard to directly test. It’s almost a game-ender for me.
Read the rules of the challenges and you will know the upgrades locked. On the level select screen....when you click on a flag....and then click on the challenge you will be able to find the "Max Upgrade Allowed rule" lvl 1 max, lvl 2 max, lvl 3 max, lvl 4 max or lvl 5 max.

@SCAROFNightClaw Why do you just want the game to be mindlessly easy? The game is rated highly because it has a challenge, and is well built, and if it was easier, you wouldn't get the same sense of achievement as when you just soar through any easy game after 5 minutes.

And another thing. You mean to tell me I have something like golem or a monster... and it can attack only one thing at a time? No. Not right. And it wouldn't hurt if everything was cheaper.

I wish there was like a test field of sorts, where you can buy towers for free and try them against enemy opponents to see how they are. Also, is it possible that if you make another Kingdom Rush or an update, could you make a section where players can submit there own maps and make enemy troops, similar to Crush the Castle?

This Game Is Awesome 8) But, Some Parts Are Really Hard To Pass,and When Ur So Close To Winning The Match,(BOOM)O_O You Die and Then You Could Just Reastart With Anger,Play Another Game On Kongregate OR You Can Play Consoles Like Xbox360 Or Ps3 With Anger Or You Can Turn Off The Laptop/Pc and Go Sleep Or Go do Somethingelse With Anger. 8l :l =l T_T

At first i was going to rate this game 4/5 then I upgraded my dwarf thing to big bertha and they said MOTHER F***er then i gave it a 5.

You made a very nice game, thx man! One thing though, if you sheep an enemy he runs straight to the goal, you could change that, and the health of the sheep is restored to full half of the enemys hp, even if the enemy was lower than that.

There needs to be a survival mode of some kind (infinite mode). I hate building up all those towers, only to have the level finish and have to restart all over again on the next one.

Absolutely Wonderful! This is a fairly unique take on the genre. Lots of replay value. I have no complaints, save that It was a bit short. I eagerly await Kingdom Rush 2... 5/5

I just hate that when I amass a unstoppable force of towers the level ends. Love this game COMPLETELY and wish I had an iPad so I could play this on the go. This game is unbelievably amazing and I think this deserves to be one of the top five games on Kongregate. The art is really what gets me because, not many games have graphics and art like this. Challenge modes to get more stars are really fun when I want to replay maps. 5/5 all the way and I hope to see Kingdom Rush II not 2x as good but 10x as good. I love Kingdom Rush and I won't stop playing this until I beat every aspect of this game.

Played this on armor games a long time ago I think, AWESOME that it's on Kongregate now! This is also an amazing TD game, I actually took the time to beat this one AND come back for all the challenges. 5/5

@krilinater get your memory to stop deleting itself, or doing other things that can mess it up, it DOES save, you just haven't figured out how.
