The reason this game is so successful is it is against the norm. Before this game, tower defense games had to inflict as much damage as possible. With this game you also have to stall the enemy, which adds a large element of strategy. My favorite part is winning in such ridiculous ways they make sense.

money is an impossibility in this game and the levels in which new towers are introduced should never be played with those freaking towers. wtf?
