Under rating threshold (show) How about considering a VS. mode where you can battle your friends head-to-head by using a combination of tower-defence style and also having the ability to purchase and send forth troops! There were several WC3 custom maps of this design so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to emulate their style!
