you can go doing good when... boom! last wave is endless: you fail. 2 stars for that insane burst (you can be playing easily 10+ mins per level, so is a waste of time)

Amazing game, but achievements are lacking a reward. Achievements should give stars, and there should be different levels of achievements. Bronze achievements (killing she sheep, catching fish, etc.) should take 10 to make a star. Silver (killing bosses, killing 2500 enemies, etc.) should take 5 for a star. Gold achievements (Completing the game, training heroes) should give a star each. Just an idea.

i have to strongly disagree with Molordias, the first upgrade for the archer tower is probably the most usefull upgrade of all the upgrades available for that tower.
Sure, it doesn't seem that usefull in the regular game, but once you start playing the challenges it will be extreamly important for early survival to have a cheap tower somewhere at the end of the road to kill of the enemys that have sliped through your defences. Thats the job of the archers.
Once the stronger enemys start coming this strategy won't work anymore, so you need to invest as much money as you can in your main defences by selling all now obsolete archer towers. And geting back 21g extra per archer really helps.
And winning challenges will give you extra stars, so a good use of that upgrade will increase your power in the campain far more than a slight increase of damage could ever do.

The only negative thing I could find to this game was no target priority. Other than that this is by far the best tower defense game i have ever played!

It would be good if you could tell your towers to attack specific groups like fastest, slowest, most health, least health etc

Don't get the polymorph ability for your maxed out magic tower. Your melee units don't engage the sheep so they can walk through all of your defenses.
