Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Description
This chess-game is made because i saw that there was almost none chess-games on the net who allowed you to play without some pieces or setting up "puzzle problems".
How to Play
use mouse to move pieces.

I don't think that anybody realizes that the lack of restrictions is the POINT of this game -- so that you can do whatever you like with the chess pieces. No, it is not a great feat of programming, but it is a highly useful thing to have on the internet in case you should ever want it. =) Downvoting it for not having placement rules would be like downvoting a hidden object game for not having doublejump.
That being said, things like better graphics and a reset button would be cool. And maybe a toggleable "snap to grid" option.
But Dazynal was right, the internets has no love for this (strangely).

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a game. It's merely a chessboard simulator. It's doesn't keep score, time or has any AI. Not nessecarily a bad thing, but i was expecting a chess game, not a virtual chess board.

And when I say that I don't think ANYBODY realizes it, I mean of course SEVERAL PEOPLE (as opposed to, for instance, "anybody").

I must say that this is not only a very very good game, but also very very very old game (1000s of years of history AFAIK)!!! 5 stars!!! :D

A series of chess puzzles would be a nice game, actually. Mate in X moves, things like that. Anyway, as an exercise to learn flash, this app isn't bad, but it's not a game and you'll probably get no love from the internets for it.
