I think it's a bit late to say this, but it seems your money doesn't get reset when you reset your data. I just began anew with 40k+$, spend it then reset again to actually start over.

On the regular mode, I hit the ground in the last zone. I hit the wallet door and didn't make it, but he got stuck in the ground.

A small tip for people who are playing; Cruisers are the best of the bears to upgrade. If you land on them, spam click your mouse AND spacebar, it'll give you INSANE speed and money from squashing gummies.
