This looks fun........(Dies at floor two, Level 2 and cause of death....A RAT.) *I put my hands up in the air like I just do not care*

Low lvl rouges get a major disadvantage and death sentence. 27hp depletes quickly against a goblin when your spear attack does nothing and you're (rapidly and easily) out of darts. I could see this actually being a great game, but I don't want to have to try every glass just to ultimately take a warrior because of the hp/weapon usage.

I used the fire mage strategy that people like but found that what finally got me moving was getting the fire ring and robe. I imagine any caster with the right equipment can do it.

As fun as the game is it doesn't save my game when I get off :/ Maybe an online save would be nice but none of my achievements, badges or whatever save when I exit the game :( They do save to my kongregate account however. Now, on the game, my character is an idiot and auto explores into toxic fumes, aka strongest spell in the game. #dumbwaystodie. I like Warrior and Necromancer, they're not exactly fast but they're the easiest classes to play. You either start out with insane damage and sustain or just have the tankiest stats for the entire game. I'm gonna try out the fire mage strat that seems so popular but Fire mage is actually my second least favorite class, first is rogue.

Tried with the warrior, barbarian, ranger and the fire mage twice but it took a storm mage with thunder clap and a lot of EP pots to finally win the hard badge...

The Storm Mage's Lightning Bolt is too inflexible to really take advantage of against multiple enemies. It should work more like the Ranger's Tunnel Shot. Also, I've been noticing enemies that can't normally move diagonally (orcs, golems) can move diagonally while they're wandering unaware of you.

Wow...died because of fking autoexplore...he thought it was a good idea to run around in toxic fumes...fk you really...was lv 12

its pretty awesome when you spawn in the ice caves with no campfires to be found. I really enjoyed throwing a couple of hours away because of RNG.

THIS GOBLET IS MINE!!! Finally got an acceptable collection of circumstances--Fire Mage with Flight Boots, Warrior Book, and Circlet of Knowledge, and a couple Enchantment Scrolls on the way--including a complete lack of Ice Caves! A truly satisfying end to the love/hate relationship with this game! (...I wonder if I'll come back...)

Holy crap the core levels. It's like the game is going "Good job making it far with a warrior, now you're dead because we hate warriors!"

This is a really good rogue-like genre game, definitely go for this game if you like others like Pixel Dungeon, Caves, Cardinal Quest 1/2 or some older titles like ADOM etc. Really liked the auto-explore mode, not perfect but quite useful. 5 Stars from my side ;)

I love this game and everything about it. The mechanics are very straight forward and easy to navigate. I think the challenge level increase is perfect. Not to mention, this game is very diverse, for as many times as I've played, i still find new maps and enemies all the time, which is very entertaining. I keeps the game fresh and exciting!

This game is impossibly difficult. For example: those catapults, or whatever they are, take like 25 shots to die or 4-5 spell hits. Yet they take away 30% of my life with each shot. I can't think of any way to get past them without blowing through half my inventory of healing and energy shrooms/potions. After 2-3 of these, it's instant game over since you have no inventory left.

would be nice to have more floors and to be able to level up more talents. it's a shame to get to the last floor and barely have the opportunity the last added talent
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Kinda anti-climatic when you spawn on the last floor right next to the goblet with 6 enemies next to ya' as if to cheer you on and congratulate ya'.

My advice: Play Necromancer. The ability to steal health from enemies, then restore mana in order to cast more leach life spells is fantastic for keeping yourself alive. Base damage is lower than the other casters, but there's a damn good reason for that. If possible, also try to find the rogue book for the Keen Senses ability. Situational awareness is everything.

Well it took 200 game plays but I won with all the characters!!! Rouge and Ranger were most difficult, and the two warrior classes were the easiest.

I don't like the fact that if you get a wand from the merchant it doesn't get added to your inventory. It gets lost somewhere. For example, I had a fire wand +1 and bought another fire wand +1 but the inventory stayed at the fire wand +1 instead of Fire wand +2

I wish it was a little less easy to click your character and wait while an enemy is standing next to me about to send out his final blow

i played alot with necromancer but untill now i never got enchante for my weapon, or to find the weapon its self.
making the swaers hell fight. (half of the creates are immue to poison)

A lot of the enemies are very frustrating, and the enemies scale up too quick i feel, at about level 3 or 4 i get enemies that can do a lot of damage and take a lot of damage and a ton of them spawn at once. Not to mention playing as a melee class against ranged enemies who can keep hitting you while evading can be very annoying. I'd say tone the difficulty down a bit for the first few dungeons and make it so more items spawn. also make it slightly easier to level up for the first few levels. Make it easier to advance to some of later stages when things can get more challenging.

Decent game, but I'll echo some of the frustrations that others have. VERY reliant on RNG. If you aren't lucky enough to get lots of early skill points and/or gear that's actually useful for your character, you might as well stop and start over before you reach level 11+. Once you reach the lava area, if you can't almost one shot everything you will get wiped just by walking.

Had the same problem where I couldn't see the bars on the top, turns out I just had to scroll the game window down a bit. Good game, don't know if I'll ever be able to beat it though.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Finally got the hard badge. Only by pure luck. The last few levels were in lava land instead of the ice world. Being a fire mage it IS a difference.

SCREW THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!! I can not count the number of times this random enemy spawner has thrown me into impossible odds, and every time I die I FREAKING LOSE ALL MY PROGRESS! This is the most frustrating, beat your head against a wall flash games I've ever found, and it's a shame, because this would actually be really fun if there was a freaking save button!

Is there a way to keep dead things dead in the crypt? Also, forget winning in fewer minutes, what the menu screen needs is "Highest level reached with this class".
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not bad for a roguelike. It sucks when you get swarmed in the room right when you enter; entrance stairs should be placed in monster-free rooms. More healing items would be nice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The RNG is less unforgiving then you might think. First dozen plays I was worried about not getting good gear/skill points early on but as long as your patient you can do well

@Shutthis: Just cast a spell.
Going back to lv14 with full health. Got frozen by an ice tower and killed in two turns. Is a rage quit justified?
