This is a really good game, I really like the book learning, the food mechanics. So it pains me much that I have to say that I found three things that bother me:
1.: There is no ice mage. Ever since I met with slow and ice bomb, and have seen the ice terrain, I totally want to play as a cold, calculating ice mage.
2.: The game tells me that creatures I can't see block line of effect. Weren't ambushes meant to be - well, ambushes?
3.: The ranger doesn't really feel like ranged terror. Without a slingshot or something that uses infinite ammo, relying on the ranged attack skill and talents is basically suicide. Seriously, I was more effective with an acid wand than the darts I was supposed to use (even while they lasted).

it would be cool if the aftifact that ends the run was gaurded by something like a boss because the last level is basicaly must find artifact ignore every thing else

Maybe javelins could be more re-usable (like picked from dead bodies) but they could be rarer accordingly? just an idea

Awesome game and a challenge. I prefer this over Enchanted Cave 2 although that has a 4.5 rating, I think you've struck a nice balance between luck and skill instead of a mindless neverending grind like the aforementioned game. Keep doing what you like with the balance and the new content is very appreciated

the best tactic i find is to rush that last set of level the last 3-4 levels because it gets abit hectic and standing and fighting is just a grind that usually doesnt go in your favour, so you need to be powerful enough by then to actually hack it

Very great game there! The only thing I find rather unpleasant is the way you get assaulted by 42 enemies when you go down a stage... I tried to save my life once and going down the stairs only made it worse. XD

I wish there were *something* to show for playing and then dying, other than the ability to do the same with the next character. A bonus stat point for subsequent characters after reaching certain points, or somesuch.

oh and i found a bug? I bought bombs on lvl 15? i think? seemed WAY too good to be true for 3 gold each and huge spam damage...but they never showed up in my inventory. so ya...was too good to be true haha

still seemed...too easy? Unsure about all of the comments upset about balancing and such. i hit lvl 8 on my first run ever and completed leisurely with Ranger on my 4th or 5th run? its entirely possible i was lucky with dbl speed boots and ranger shrine. Lack of final boss guarding goblet was kind meh...but def enjoy a well made rougelike

Not so much a bug, but maybe a timing flaw. Playing firemage, came down stairs and had 3 enemies in front of me, used fireball while I was in range, killed all enemies and leveled up, but still had HP removed. I had enough HP to live after hit. I would guess it would have to do with a procedure order issue. Enemy dmg->assign xp->lvl up/replenish HP->character dmg vs. Enemy dmg->Character dmg.->assign xp->lvl up/replenish HP

Encountered a game breaking glitch. I was @ a 3 part rune wall, went up to the closest rune to unlock the room behind it and clicked on the furthest rune to unlock the room instead of the closest and the game froze. Hope this helps.

Still feel like the rogue is really weak. I'm on level 6, have 20 stealth, and can't regularly get within two spaces of ballista without alerting them.

i see no reason why we shouldn't be able to gain 1 coin for projectiles and shrooms. Sure, it can load us up with money, buuuuut that's kind of the point of selling things.

Hmm, nice game, nice mechanics and full of surprises, that kind of game where knowledge is power, the way i finished it was warrior on ice cave was so funny, since there was so many ice statues to slow me and i got overwhelmed by monsters that i wouldn't defeat cuz it would take an eternity, i kept using charge on the statues to get to the goblet faster without needing to bother with monsters. Also i found a bug where i can't move my character and i can't quit and save. Here is a screenshot http://prntscr.com/etla88 atleast i wasn't at a far stage of the game in this rogue run. 5/5 maggots have never been so scary.

Not knowing how many skill points I need to invest in a skill to get another point of damage out of my weapons is a disincentive to multiclassing. eg ranger taking points in melee instead of just full ranged.

Got inferno sword with Rogue, but it wasn't counting for sneak attacks. I assume this has to do with physical damage vs. fire damage, but it's still weird.

Magikarp9, you need a sword, ax, or spear to melee, and the damage you do is based on your Melee skill. (You must select the weapon in your inventory by clicking on it.) However, any mage staff can shoot enemies right next to you as well and uses the skill that corresponds with the staff's element (fire, lightening, or necro/poison).

The game is great, reminds me of Pixel Dungeon (a phone game), if you enjoyed this game you should try that game too.

I come back to this game constantly, its replayability is extraordinary and I've been on a hook for like a week or so.

Fantastic principle as is with most roguelikes, but as with most roguelikes it falls into the trap of "luck will make sure you're gonna die, and if not, one misclick will make sure you're gonna die anyway. 3.5/5, minor tweaks could make all the difference, especially for all classes besides Necro.

@plasmacow just press E, you'll explore the lower level, its not a "disconnected piece of a level with no stairs in sight" its the next level down, where you'd be going ANYWAY

Good job, Justin the Developer! I really like how each game is different, and it is quite addictive. The game play is great, and so is the atmosphere. This game makes you think a couple of steps ahead, to avoid dying early. The combat is superb and it is challenging enough to want to play through more than once. Awesome!

@Sanmei There are two campfires in every floor of the ice caves. It might have placed them both in a corner behind an elite Ice statue, but there will always be two of them.
