well 2 weeks of trying and i finally beat it. it was nice to see the dev communicate with me on my food shortage issue.
one other suggestion: maybe make the shrooms give you 1 or 2 food points? i mean they are food. the round i just beat there was very limited food and limited health fountains/ shroom pickups. so it was an interesting combo of always low on health, running away and not clearing every level- just finding the down stairs. when i hit the bottom floor i had like no health but i had 9 teleport scrolls. it felt cheap as i zipped around the bottom floor until i stumbled on the last item to get and won the game.
+1 for the incredibly epic ending though. lol

Fast paced, yet tricky at times. Plenty of options to customise builds, and even swerve away from the original class chosen, thrice in skills, stat points and gear. High replayability. Higher addiction factor (must try this now.. or that.. or...). Active dev..... Yup, this is a 5/5. Gratz on a great game.

Fun game, to be certain. However, I think it'd have more replayability if something, ANYTHING, carried over from one game to the next. I dunno, after my first character died it felt like "Yeah, that was a fun little one-shot".

Hmm... is there going to be an ice mage at some point or the option to learn ice magic? It appears to be in the game but no available to the player, yet there is an ice ring that increases ice damage.

I think there needs to be a way to join another religion. It's really annoying that you can only join one religion yet also have no way of knowing which, if any, religions are even going to show up. Mind, there should probably be a penalty of some kind, and I could understand if you couldn't quit the religion that gives you a good hunk of gold when you join.

Cannibilize is broken in that it can let you get infinte mana However i think you should make it so cannibalize lets you eat the blood enemys drop to Regen and bit of health and hunger for 1 or 2 mana
That's a really cool idea. I was thinking about just using a boring old cool down timer but that might be a more thematic way to limit its usage. Thanks for suggestion!
Thanks for the feedback I'll keep it in mind. I essentially have a running tally of how many people consider a certain enemy, class, item etc. OP. I also have my own opinions of course. When there seems to be a general consensus is when I start to consider making major changes. Right now you're the first to mention the ice wolves so consider them on the tally list now :P

I have a habit of spawning in the midst of a horde of enemies in the 3rd dungeon level and as such I don't usually get that far...
Go up and down the stairs, healing on the upstairs and picking them off on the down, one by one. When you go up and down again they forget about you and you get a free attack. This usually gets me out of early game jams before I have AoE abilities or consumables to use.

I have 226 coins and no where to spend them. How am I missing the merchant. I'm already in level 10 and need food BAD!
Yeah that's seriously bad luck. I think for next update what I'll do is same thing I did with food. Keep the random shops in but make a guaranteed one on level 6 or something. Randomness is fun until your that 1/1000 guy that just gets screwed.

It would be great if you could open glyph doors at a bit more of a distance even 2 tiles away could be good because it makes ranged characters weaker at glyph doors
I view glyph doors as a heavy risk vs reward thing so I'd like them to remain as potentially deadly as possible. I generally don't open them myself unless I've got more than enough stuff to deal with whatever could be hiding inside. I'll also often skip them past a certain point as its just not worth the risk.

Bug: After selling an equipped shield, entire game froze. Could not re-equip, could not even enter character menu. Tried refreshing, attempting to load the save grayscreens. Kinda sucks because I was in the middle of a really nice energy mage run.

Rogue: felt like stealth wasn't working at later levels (or wasn't strong enough). Seems that I would cast sneak, get up to 18 or so stealth, and no matter what every monster would see me instantly. I would cast evade, and they would instantly notice me again.

I think I found a bug, which while not overly destructive or even effective, I still think I should post it: I was wearing a ring of energy, and sold it. Until I equipped another ring to the slot, I still had the +5 energy.
Thanks for the heads up. Though minor, this actually gives me a bit more ammo for my war with that damn merchant and his insufferable crashes, since obviously its not updating your stats when you sell something.
Personally I'm basically just sprinting for the down stairs once I reach those last levels. Unless you've gotten really lucky with drops or have some kind of god build going its unwise to try to actually clear them fully.
Hahaha, seriously that's pretty funny. Especially since that greedy bastard just stands there all the time and watches me nearly die to 10+ monsters then all I get is a 'Welcome to my humble shop good sir!'. Will fix with next update. Thanks for not hoarding this secret trick for yourself :P

Im wearing a +2 ring of storm as a warrior, and have taken "weapon shield". When storm mages fire, it occasionally says "reflected", but then I still take damage
Thanks for the heads up. This is on the list. There's a bunch of projectiles that, because of the way they produce fire or shock effects, are not correctly being reflected. Weapon shield and shields of reflection should, when working correctly, reflect all projectiles.

Need some sort of low health alert! I keep not noticing I'm near death, and dying to something cheap with a bag full of healing options :(
The boarder of the screen does turn red when less then 25% health. Other then that I'd just advise you to slow down a bit with your clicking. If you're clicking so fast you can't pay attention to health then you are probably clicking to fast.
Ranger is coming pretty soon, he's pretty much done but I'm focusing on bugs and balance issues at the moment. Ice mage needs to get in at some point. Lots of people have pointed out that there is in fact an ice book and rings boosting ice attack. After that, possibly more classes as long as they are different enough from the existing ones.

The people saying it's like pixel dungeon should keep in mind the similarities are probably because they're both "old school" roguelikes. There's a whole genre of games like this

Something a bit more helpful, I assume it is a bug when playing as a Storm Mage (lvl9@TATlvl6/16) after/during battle there appears invisible but blocking (as if it was wall) tiles saying "electricity" when you mouse over them, in the mini-map they're visible as gray wall-like tiles. Still love the game, it's perfect to leaving running for the occasional/frequent break :)

Love the game but I've lost two different (out of six or so) characters due to the game "freezing" where I can click anything but nothing happens. I don't have much idea of why but both involved being under ranged attack where it seems to freeze when I get hit (1 with exploding fireball and 1 with a normal fireball from a Fire Imp). I don't think either would have killed me but who knows. Also: I can open and close the character screen too but "Save and Quit" doesn't work (so I can't get unstuck that way). Only pointing this out in case there's an easy fix or more people get this (my machine is french fries so it could just be me).
Still trying to figure this one out. Seems like some small percentage of people have all sorts of problems with either fire or electricity or both. Might end up rewriting the whole system from scratch since I can't replicate either of the bugs on my system with any browser.

Liked the game so far except at level 4 I encountered an elite rock golem, cool. And so I ran up a level, and now when I try to re-enter level 4 the screen just stays black :/
Hmmm will look into it. Next time this occurs please PM me with the text from your browsers console window so I can isolate the bug. Right click -> inspect -> console and just copy paste all the mess thats spewing out.

Wonder if knowledge ring (+50xp, -20hp) kills with hp<20. It is kinda rare ring, so what is mechanics for this? Don't want to lose my run giving it a try

Playing as storm mage sometimes raises bug - electricity tile, mouse hovering over it depicts "electricity", it is like a wall - solid for projectiles and can't be passed both for player & monsters. I wonder y are monsters picking up my mushrooms?
Yeah, this is a weird one which I cannot replicate on my end. There were people experiencing a similar issue (though it crashed) with fire. Will be digging deep into the code and try to figure out whats causing this. Might just need to rewrite the whole effect system from scratch since its tricky to debug a bug that I never see. I rated this game 5/5! 50% out of this is for the game itself. it still needs balance, non-mage classes are severely underpowered and weak. However, another 50% goes to the gamedev who 1) replies to feedback, 2) does not treat us like cattle/money bags, 3) actually invests TIME into the game. I would honestly donate some $ for that... Of course if there is no unjust bonuses that you get for donation. As regards balance issues - Necromancer needs to have poison damaged increased in proportion to his "regular" damage. I completed the game with a fire mage, and never managed to ndo it with anyone else - either the spells are crap or the whole "multiclass" thing is simply not possible due to severe lack of skill points and talent points.

One minor issue: I expected to be able to pop red mushrooms from one tile away (i.e. without damage) when using a spear, but you cannot.
Will add this to my list, shouldn't really make much of a difference to game balance since mages can already blast them with their staves. Gives one more advantage to not using an axe as well.

If there were a way to save or something, that would be great. And my game crashed whenever I went to level four of the dungeon, and attacked an orc warrior.
