So I found out the hard way that if you have too much stuff in your inventory it just disappears and all you can do is sell it. Bye bye staff of fire +3 :(

First dungeon level...first 2 chests opened...each gave 3x enchantment scrolls. But I'm playing Ranger. Why couldn't I have been a wizard this time?!?

This game is very nice. It make me feel like playing the real flash game
it make me think about how to play, how to move carefully and i just wish the idle-thingy and the cg p2w card game stop or at least tone down a bit

NOOOOO!!!! Dead 1 step away from the goblet! Strangely enough, a fire tower had spawned directly over it. Had that not happened, I'm sure I could have simply walked to it.

It would be nice if instead of automatically gaining a class when finding a book (since you are limited to six), if you had to actually choose to use it. Wasted 80 gold at a shop when I didn't realize I'd already inadvertently acquired six classes. Otherwise, a really enjoyable game!

When you find a well of wishing, or the green scroll, save your game and quit to the main menu. Then, "continue" your game and use the well/scroll to get Scrolls. If you don't get the scrolls you want, just refresh your browser. I have done this a few times now to get the yellow scrolls (upgrade). It is a big help.

More fire sword crit weirdness... I shelled out a lot of gold to get one for my Barbarian, then found I don't crit with any of my abilities. Anyone know if it's the same deal for the storm chopper?

Wow tank necromancer is amazing i finally got the goblet of yendor at 60 minutes using that build and it was unstoppable. maxed necromancy with life spike and cannibalism into maxed fortitude + toughness in warrior book makes you able to facetank 4 enemies at once while actually gaining health

Got the goblet as a Barbarian in God Mode.
How?
I charged at an enemy not realising there was a teleport trap between us, I appeared at the other end of the trap with infinite charge activated and enemies could not see me. Even so, I could go through levels. \m/\m/

Finally!!!!!
I can't believe I kept trying, but I finally did it. Level 16 Necromancer with Life Spike, Cannibalize, and Poison Cloud. I managed to get all of the other books, so I also had the Rogue's Dungeon Sense and Keen Hearing. The last talent I had the Warrior's Shroomology, which really helped out in the end.
But what really cinched it for me was the wishing well, which gave me THREE enchantment scrolls! 12 points of damage with the Staff of Acid!
I was a little disappointed by the ending though. No boss? No animated cutscene? Or better yet, why not this: with the Goblet of Yendor, you get can an additional 100% attack/defense in all stats and all passive talents from all the books.

If you're an amateur dungeneer like me I suggest playing with the wizards the first few tries. They have an easier time in my opinion.

Justin, would it be too overpowered to have Scrolls of Acquirement and Wells of Wishing be able to give you a key, perhaps?

Another interesting quirk: If you're wearing a ring of lifesaving and die, and do not use it, your save is not deleted, and you may reload your save from just before you entered the dungeon level.

I prefer fire/storm mage over necromancer, poison cloud might be op but with some equipment storm mage is a freaking beast

Level 15 Necromancer retrieved the goblet in 72.7
And it's the easiest class to do it with, skill build was max necromastery, then max HP. You leech off fat mobs, throw a poison cloud under yourself and run away. Room cleared, next.
Hope there's more variety soon and Rogue actually gets some decent escapes, like blink or several turns invisibility - Sneak is such a waste.

Oh thanks for the explanation, i guess this isn't usefull at all then, you always end up vs at least 7 ennemies once in a game :D

LuciferOurKing: Necromancy skill does increase your staff of acid. Issue is that with a base of 3 damage, it takes I believe 7 skill to get +1 to damage, and that does not increase the incremental poison damage.
Vmomo sleeping darts do work, you just can't use it on a monster that is adjacent to another monster, the awake monster wakes the sleeping one.

The Rogue remains the most difficult to play. Part of the problem is that the Rogue's skills are geared toward avoiding combat, while the game heavily rewards combat. I find the Rogue lagging in experience if I bypass mobs. You mentioned a possible update that would give the Rogue experience for leftover mobs upon going to a new level, but I can see that being abused (go to new level, come back and defeat mobs for extra XP). What about an XP bonus based on steps taken x bypassed monsters? I'm not privy to the numbers on the backend, but perhaps something based on the consumption rate of food would work. That way you get a steady stream of XP as long as you avoid combat, which makes it easier to 1) keep avoiding combat, and 2) fight your way out when combat happens.
Also, why don't monsters stay asleep with a sleep dart if other monsters are nearby?

It would be nice if you could upgrade poison damage; once you get further on in the game, 1 damage per turn doesn't do much against a 86 hp ballistae (also, screw you ballistae).

You should add a log for items and characters. You could also add a description of the religion when you're mouse scrolls over it in the character menu.

Did you manage to win ? :D I just got a +2 fire staf with my barbarianf but my game lagged when i tried to upgrade it...

There is also a possibility to be a ranger rogue if you find a ranger book, ranger skills are actually quite good since you outrange most of the monsters.
