Under rating threshold (show) Bug: After selling an equipped shield, entire game froze. Could not re-equip, could not even enter character menu. Tried refreshing, attempting to load the save grayscreens. Kinda sucks because I was in the middle of a really nice energy mage run.

Under rating threshold (show) Rogue: felt like stealth wasn't working at later levels (or wasn't strong enough). Seems that I would cast sneak, get up to 18 or so stealth, and no matter what every monster would see me instantly. I would cast evade, and they would instantly notice me again.

Hmmm, I'll do some testing with rogue at the high levels, maybe his stealth isn't scaling nicely. Thanks for letting me know.

Under rating threshold (show) I think I found a bug, which while not overly destructive or even effective, I still think I should post it: I was wearing a ring of energy, and sold it. Until I equipped another ring to the slot, I still had the +5 energy.

Thanks for the heads up. Though minor, this actually gives me a bit more ammo for my war with that damn merchant and his insufferable crashes, since obviously its not updating your stats when you sell something.

Personally I'm basically just sprinting for the down stairs once I reach those last levels. Unless you've gotten really lucky with drops or have some kind of god build going its unwise to try to actually clear them fully.

Under rating threshold (show) Im wearing a +2 ring of storm as a warrior, and have taken "weapon shield". When storm mages fire, it occasionally says "reflected", but then I still take damage

Thanks for the heads up. This is on the list. There's a bunch of projectiles that, because of the way they produce fire or shock effects, are not correctly being reflected. Weapon shield and shields of reflection should, when working correctly, reflect all projectiles.

The boarder of the screen does turn red when less then 25% health. Other then that I'd just advise you to slow down a bit with your clicking. If you're clicking so fast you can't pay attention to health then you are probably clicking to fast.

Ranger is coming pretty soon, he's pretty much done but I'm focusing on bugs and balance issues at the moment. Ice mage needs to get in at some point. Lots of people have pointed out that there is in fact an ice book and rings boosting ice attack. After that, possibly more classes as long as they are different enough from the existing ones.

Under rating threshold (show) Something a bit more helpful, I assume it is a bug when playing as a Storm Mage (lvl9@TATlvl6/16) after/during battle there appears invisible but blocking (as if it was wall) tiles saying "electricity" when you mouse over them, in the mini-map they're visible as gray wall-like tiles. Still love the game, it's perfect to leaving running for the occasional/frequent break :)

Under rating threshold (show) Love the game but I've lost two different (out of six or so) characters due to the game "freezing" where I can click anything but nothing happens. I don't have much idea of why but both involved being under ranged attack where it seems to freeze when I get hit (1 with exploding fireball and 1 with a normal fireball from a Fire Imp). I don't think either would have killed me but who knows. Also: I can open and close the character screen too but "Save and Quit" doesn't work (so I can't get unstuck that way). Only pointing this out in case there's an easy fix or more people get this (my machine is french fries so it could just be me).

Still trying to figure this one out. Seems like some small percentage of people have all sorts of problems with either fire or electricity or both. Might end up rewriting the whole system from scratch since I can't replicate either of the bugs on my system with any browser.

Hmmm will look into it. Next time this occurs please PM me with the text from your browsers console window so I can isolate the bug. Right click -> inspect -> console and just copy paste all the mess thats spewing out.

Under rating threshold (show) Playing as storm mage sometimes raises bug - electricity tile, mouse hovering over it depicts "electricity", it is like a wall - solid for projectiles and can't be passed both for player & monsters. I wonder y are monsters picking up my mushrooms?

Yeah, this is a weird one which I cannot replicate on my end. There were people experiencing a similar issue (though it crashed) with fire. Will be digging deep into the code and try to figure out whats causing this. Might just need to rewrite the whole effect system from scratch since its tricky to debug a bug that I never see. Under rating threshold (show) I rated this game 5/5! 50% out of this is for the game itself. it still needs balance, non-mage classes are severely underpowered and weak. However, another 50% goes to the gamedev who 1) replies to feedback, 2) does not treat us like cattle/money bags, 3) actually invests TIME into the game. I would honestly donate some $ for that... Of course if there is no unjust bonuses that you get for donation. As regards balance issues - Necromancer needs to have poison damaged increased in proportion to his "regular" damage. I completed the game with a fire mage, and never managed to ndo it with anyone else - either the spells are crap or the whole "multiclass" thing is simply not possible due to severe lack of skill points and talent points.

Will add this to my list, shouldn't really make much of a difference to game balance since mages can already blast them with their staves. Gives one more advantage to not using an axe as well.

You can save and exit, but as far as save so you can continue when you die, no, game is designed to be permadeath.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice game, I started a couple of times with the fire mage, but it was super hard, I never managed to get past the first room on second level. Now with a warrior, it's going quite smoothly. Am I right or you do not get any permanent benefit after death?

Achievements (especially tricky, difficult to pull off ones) are planned for the far future once more pressing stuff is dealt with. Don't think I want to do any sort of in game prize though as I feel like that ruins the challenge somewhat.

I haven't gotten very far in Brogue but I loved all the grasses, gasses, chasms and just general environmental stuff that game had. So many of the major rogue-likes have comparatively bland dungeons.

Under rating threshold (show) Fun game! One of my new favorites... but I did find a bug - managed to get NaN for the HP on two enemies down around level.. um, 8? I don't know, ogre with 93 HP originally, I think it was. Hit him and another guy with the slow-moving fireball, BAM, NaN hp, won't go down when I hit them anymore, game freezes next time I go back down to that level.

I wouldn't mind some type of bonus (not necessarily an in-game bonus) to track distance made by each class, but the game isn't really missing anything without it. I would rate it a 4 star, but the dev seems very intent on responding to feedback and upkeeping the game, which makes is a 5, easy.

Thanks for the feedback. Once I get through all these bugs, balance issues, and new classes, I'll probably look into something to give the game a nice end game. Stat tracking, death and win lists, deepest dungeon reached and neat optional achievements like kill 6 maggots with a single swing of your axe.

Under rating threshold (show) Ugh, one shotted myself just because Charge skill, apparenty, uses my weapon after you charge into enemy, and the weapon was lighting axe... And the enemy standed in water. Anyway, i got bored at floor 5 on my first go. Game dosnt offer much varietty and overall super easy. Shops selling same stuff on each level +1/2 new items and if i dont buy those stuff on early level, i dont need it at all, so why would i bump into at at every floor? Also my warrior could not learn half skills (mushroom +5, shield wall) even tho had talents for it. Cant say it was a bad game, its just a game to play once and forget. What can be done? Well, a skill tree that you can level up between runs.

Under rating threshold (show) I feel like the necromancer gives up too much damage for the poison trait. The low base damage of the staff means growth is very slow, and by the time other classes are doing 5-6 damage, the necromancer is still lucky to do 4 per round after the poison is considered.

Whaa, everyone else says the necromancer is horrifyingly overpowered. Maybe try playing around with his abilities a bit more. If anything he's in serious need of a good nerf hammer at some point.

Under rating threshold (show) suggestions: - ice mage/tempperature mage with some skills - make necro use the "blood" ground to heal/ summon something... actualy necro pprimary skill is to summon undead - pplaying with the warrior or berserk is way easy cause of initial high hit points, rebalance it somehow...

I died and now it pulled up the menu to choose between returning to the main menu or using my ring, but I'm unable to click "Use the ring of life saving". Any ideas on how to help me? I'm trying to save the run through cause it'sby far the best I've done yet.

Hmmm I've heard of it not working before from someone. Sorry this happened to you. I'm testing it my side and it seems to work just fine, so I'll have to look into what could possibly be going wrong here with other peoples setups.

Under rating threshold (show) I have 1 suggestion. Make the mages basic attacks less influential, but support their caster style. In the early game any mage is played the same as a ranger, shoot it till its dead, rarely use skills. If basic attacks did less damage and regenerated mana, or something, I feel like they would feel more like wizards than rangers with elemental spells.

Absolutely something to think about. The ranger is getting implemented sometime in the next few days and if anything he's going to feel like the weak ranger since he has to use darts to produce his range attack. Regening mana is probably to powerful but reduced damage and maybe reduced range to something like 4 tiles so that the ranger (and thrown weapons) become the king of long range attacks.
