This game is real fun but I've got two suggestions. First of all, it'd be super helpful to have assignable hotkeys... I like using the keyboard for small movements and mouse for big ones and interaction and it's awkward to do that with the arrows/numpad. Other thing is, I would LOVE to see this as a mobile game!! I think it would be so nice to be able to play this anytime on the go. Good job though! It's hard for me to find a roguelike game that's balanced enough that I don't get bored or annoyed.

I think I encountered a bug. On level sewers 4/4 there are 4 switches, I flipped 3 of them but the last one does nothing when I click on it, and I can't progress beyond this point

Hi Justin, still enjoying the heck out of this great game. Very happy you added the graveyard as some of us requested. Can we tweak it just a little bit? For overall and by class, can it be ranked by most successful runs (either by deepest level reached or character level) instead of a chronological list of low level deaths.

And Second Rule: always watcj on what terrain you are. Since some terrain can burn/shock you death if you wont watch out.

Two important rules when you play as Ranged enemy. Always try to get spell which is instant instead projectile one. Trust me if you want to kill everything then you need to have at least one.

I died at the vault of yendor with super strong fire mage as I did not know that fireball could be reflected as well... Should have shot it to the side of the enemy

the attack/damage order needs adjusted - when using necromancer, the staff of poison on an adjacent enemy kills the enemy AFTER the enemy attacks, even when the initial damage should be fatal. possibly occurs with other ranged attacks.

Some variety in the later levels would be nice. Mid-game is varied enough, with many different possible level designs and enemy sets, but dealing with the same old elves late-game gets old after a while, especially because they can be a bit annoying. Same for the final level; there seems to be a couple of fixed layouts and after a while you've really seen everything.
Anyway, I guess there's a time for everything! I know the game is constantly being updated, and it keeps getting better ;)

Well, I lost my win/loss records (not an issue, really) but kept my Trophy/60/45 markers. I don't know if they'll count for badges, doubt it. Anyway thanks for fixing it, and I also got my best run after being able to play again

Can we please get a way to change the elemental effect of staves? Maybe as an option at the transference table? It feels real bad getting a powerful but completely useless staff.

Had a RIDICULOUSLY lucky run with storm mage; 3 scrolls of aquirement and two wishing well, a +4 leather shield, a leather helmet, a robe of wizardry, and three scrolls of enchantments by the 10th floor, a +4 mana regen charm, and a greater staff of power. I won the game in 30 minutes at level 15. Seriously, fix the RNG, instead of pure luck, assign a fixed number of things you get from the start, weighted to how good they are to the class you picked, otherwise this is literally a game of luck.

Just my two cents on this game. I think this game is awesome. Roguelikes have a special place in my heart. At the same time, there are a few things that make this game a bit broken/annoying to play. With that, below is a list of suggestions to improve the game:
1. Books should be a usable item instead of automatically consumed when you pick it up. I'm running around with a bow and plenty of bow skills, then I pick up a barbarian book, it is worthless to me. I should have the option to sell it.
2. I can't tell at this point if this has been implemented due to the RNG, but it would be nice if the RNG would provide class items at a higher rate than non-class items. I don't know how many times, I play a mage class and end up with nothing but a battle axe and plate armor with a bunch of potions.
3. The special side dungeons could have some kind of "boss" monster on the final level. Also, their loot seems to often tend to be pretty mediocre.

It looks like the Charm spell is always 10 of duration. Regardless of what the spell says and the bonuses you have.
I had the spell saying "Duration 20 (44)", so i charmed someone and after aprox. 10 rounds, it's not charmed anymore.

crits with inferno sword don't seem to do as much damage as with other melee weapons; not sure why. I'm playing a rogue right now.

Since the latest update, the game no longer loads properly. It loads up to 99%, and then the lower right quadrant of the screen turns a darker black and it stops doing anything. I am giving neither mouse nor keyboard input at this time. Nothing changes.
Thanks for the heads up, looks like it was an issue with some browsers not supporting the new compression. Can you please let me know if new update has fixed it for you.

Oh... game records aren't working properly anymore. It forgot about all (I think?) my deaths, and it also forgot about my two previous wins for challenge of the day. I think I was about to get a two-game streak, too... I still have the trophies for winning with different characters, though.

If you use the scroll of domination on the queen spider, the spiders that hatch from the eggs aren't on your side. Not sure if this is intended. Also some abilities that require certain types of weapons get a bit wonky when using the quick weapon slot, but I'm not sure how you could go about fixing that.

After getting the glitch with a grey box during the loading screen on windows edge, I used a different browser (Firefox). It worked... for a week. Now I'm receiving the same glitch t. Unplayable by me unless its fixed.
Not sure why this has happened for some subset of firefox users. If you'd like to pop into our discord I could take a look at your save data and try to fix this for you and other users without messing up your records. Otherwise simply clearing your browser cache should solve the problem though be warned this will lose your current records.

Since this game is so hard to beat, I have a suggestion for the dev:
maybe implement a lifetime experience points, where you get perks the longer/more often you play. example: explore 100 lifetime floors as a fire mage, and you automatically start new games as a firemage with double HP. explore 1000 lifetime floors as a fire mage and start new games with double HP and MP.

This game is bloody impossible. Furthest attempt was 14/16 in the crypt after like 25 deaths. I'm now up to like 35 and haven't got back there.

My one and only disappointment with this game is that you can't get charge until level 4. This makes using the fighter an absolute pain, as any mage or archer takes half your health. If you loved fighter in Rogue Fable II, now might be a good time to expand your repertoire. Otherwise a great game, another good installment in the series.
Game won't run on Edge due to some sort of bug in the underlying game engine that I haven't been able to identify. If this only started occurring with version 0.48 then I think it had to do with file compression and hopefully its been fixed with update 0.49. Please let me know if its working for you now or still crashing.

@danpoopy I think the reason your max MP goes down when you use it is because you are using the summon skeleton spell, which decreases your max MP whenever you cast it. However, this max MP is returned when the skeleton dies or when you exit the level and the skeletons don't follow you up/down.

I can't seem to go down to level 3 of the core. First time I got a black screen, second time it just loaded level 2 again and again and again.. bugged?

It will be nice to change weapon (of the same type) when special ability is on. Now you need to turn off ability and change it and turn on ability again. It is annoying.

Bug: stuck on moving to crypt level 12, dark screen nothing loaded. Game saved 1 step before stairs, so i repeated this attempt many times - same result.
Any possibility to debug/fix this without restarting the game ?
