This game is amazing from my point of view. But I think that it needs saves, so if you die, you can still play the character.

@Avienda - You can spend gold and sell unwanted items when you find a merchant. There's usually one every few floors.

There should be an achievement for clearing 16 normal floor + the 4 extra floor, I just finish this with an ice mage in 2 hours, was pretty satisfying indeed. The ice mage has reached 81hp at the end and can actually lives forever in the dungeon without food because of the healing charm. The extra floors were the ice cave, so I learned the fireball to burn all those polar bears and penguins. No enemies survive in all floors. :D

ok, well this, im assuming, is a really fun game. Edge is really stupid for crashing this game but im not downloading another platform to play it though. Hope everything is best possible scenario for you otherwise

It seems mages don't always get the abilities of their class? I had a Necromancer who didn't get Poison Cloud and Ice Mage that never got Flash Freeze. These are vital crowd control spells.

Finally got my first win on necromancer and gotta say great game! My only major gripe I have is that I just wish there was something to permanently improve your characters across runs. Something like a one item lockbox that keeps the items between runs or start with a certain staff, extra starting skill points etc. Would add to the replay ability in my opinion.

10 loss as barbarian no drop. take necro drop vampire stuff and plate. play ice after necro drop greater poison staff+1. loot is somehow insulting....
Badges are up to Kong staff and are completely separate from us developers. I will definitely make an update in the future if the Kong staff need something in order to make badges possible.

I keep dying because of a miss click! I get this barbarian build with the shock axe and I keep accidentally stepping into the water near an enemy and strafe attack activates to kill me. This is a great game, but if I spend half an hour exploring a dungeon and die on the second to last floor because of that... oof

If you want to use Infectious Disease, then you should hold skeleton as distraction and run away. Even when skeleton get infected and die he will still buy you enough time to keep safe distance.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Shock is so much better than Infectious Disease (I can kill a huge group in 1-2 turns instead of waiting for four+) that removing the risk to the player would not overpower the talent.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Infectious Disease is useless, as it tends to always hit the caster. I mark it with Flaming Hands as a spell that just isn't worth it.

For the Enchanter, would be helpful to know the count down timer on 'Charmed' mobs. Or to have the ability to refresh the charm early.

Let melee attacks target mushrooms and jars.
And the rogue may need a little buff, maybe making attacks against unaware or sleeping enemies always a crit.

Just found an priest npc who for ten gold healed me and gave me a 100turn "Bless" condition. No page for priest or bless on wiki so Idk what bless does, any ideas?

Didn't expect to reach the end by ice mage in first attempt, walk diagonally with slow is really powerful, I only killed myself becuz I go back to try the optional arcane tower.

Finally, after what feels like a hundred death, i finally finish the game. Thanks dev for mentioning the link to youtube video by Umbr. Definetly helped a lot.

I just came here to say i one shot myself as the archer because my power shot was deflected by some diamond beast thing. Not cool..

My last game is still corrupted by crashes when descending stairs. Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet if I were to create a new game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A new game + option would be awesome for this game, maybe even a linear difficulty progression (think normal, nightmare and hell from Diablo 2) which would greatly increase the replay value and allow players to really build their characters to completion. I'd pay retail prices for that.

Finally got my first win with my Necromancer Skeleton army (160 mins). Just in case anybody is interested, there is an item called the "Helm of Telepathy" or something like that which reveals all enemies on the minimap. Very useful if you can get your hands on it!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
my guess was wrong on that estimate for 1 win ever 100 defeats, cause after my win with enchanter i got one with the storm mage
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would suggest to set a min damage at least cause being able to randomly hit and enemy in the range or 1 to 13 is odd.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I still find having real-time as achievement criteria quite odd in a turn-based game. It discourage some play-style like mass-slaughtering or leveling, just like the last game. Overall a better game than the last one, now the existing classes are more versatile and more exciting to play.

third win, with the enchanter, 51:02, 296 defeats, seems almost every 100 defeats i will atleast get 1 win (i won using tons of confusion to groups, and charming big enemies that have alot of health, crystal golems work great to charm)

Whenever you play a storm mage you will find greater staves of fire, and when you play a fire mage you will fine greater storm staves.

Status update on the Necromancer that survived 30 turns of disease:
I Kamikaze'd myself unwittingly by using a scroll of hellfire in the 16th floor as a last resort - not thinking I'd be caught in the blast.
Felt like something straight out of a book or movie.
But see I thought I would actually get to the end this time...
Great game.
Probably spent 10 hours in the past few days playing it.
5/5 would recommend.

Just started a storm mage. There was a book of storm 5 spaces from my starting position, and a chest with a second one 5 spaces farther. Neither added any new skills. Can you make it so books which have no new skills don't spawn?

Whew. Just accidentally got hit by my own infectious disease as a necromancer and got stuck with 30 turns of 5-8 self-damage per turn.
Turns out having 10 food is more useful than it seems.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
its really annoying that infectious disease can effect yourself, it makes it not worth it to pick it up because the enemies will just run at you and then you have it

Great game, loved the second one too, but really like the updates in part 3.
I have a bug to report - my necromancer just got killed by the skeletons HE SUMMONED. Probably my most frustrating death so far.

Is there an ETA for Steam? I would love to be able to play the game without the occasional kongregate ad breaking the game.

@WhatNoWhy NPCs take gold. Merchants sell items for 30-200+ gold. Skill trainers are 25g, Talent trainers 100g, Priests 10g (heal+buff). Those are the gold uses

First, let me say, this is a fantastic game. There is tons of depth and character customization, and it's just a lot of fun to play. The music is catchy, and it is clearly very high quality game development on all levels. That being said, here are some things I think could be improved on, though. I can't get really into it because of the comment length, but in a nutshell, the game could use some quality of life improvements.
Items are too hard to get, gold is too scarce, and some enemies/abilities (confusion) are too powerful against the player. The game also doesn't feel long enough, it seems to come to a screeching halt. I know the game is still in early testing, so can't really complain. I would gladly pay good money for this game, though, if it were to have more content (especially end game) and more issues ironed out. It is definitely a diamond in the rough. So fun to play. I'll happily share more feedback if a reviews page becomes available. Keep up the awesome work.

Using edge myself, I can confirm that the game still freezes at 99% loading with a grey box on the bottom right hand corner. Game runs amazing on Chrome though, and it deserves the #1 spot that it attained this month!
