Clicked once on the map with a spell. Leveled up as I cast the spell. Accidentally clicked Str up at the same time as I cast my spell. Pls fix :(

This might be posted elsewhere, but I didn't see it. I can easily see people saying Ice Mage is bugged, but it looks like "slow" doesn't mean "slow". It just means the slowed creature can't move diagonally. Where this sucks, however, is in fighting foes that are already "slow". As far as I can tell, the ice mage is seriously disadvantaged against these types, but maybe I'm missing something.
That's correct. 'Slow' in the game always refers to not being able to move diagonally like ogres and golems and such. The classes are not intended to be balanced perfectly with each other so I'm not super concerned with making every class perfectly capable in all situations. Personally I've found that starting with a knock back spell gives him a decent enough edge against slow enemies even though they can't be further slowed, since knocking back say an ogre and then abusing his lack of diagonal movement can pretty much keep him out of range forever.

I just got a circlet of knowledge 0 enchantment and it won't let me equip it. Is there a level required or is this a bug?

Tips: This game is extremely stingy with exp and items. So you basically have to run away from enemies and take them out one at a time down hallways till you get halfway decent power. If you ever see a room with 3 rat nests in it. Just run. It's not worth fighting through it. Ranger is by far the easiest to do until the dev buffs the starting state of all the characters a little

I know it's a rogue like dungeon crawler .... but I literally just went down the 6th floor stairs and was basically surrounded by 3 mages and 2 archers. Tried running away before they noticed me, but they did, and killed me before I could even turn the corner even after using all my meat and potions I had on me. So yeah .... fun. If it's going to basically be random what you get when you go down some stairs, a little bit more starting power would be nice. Maybe more starting equipment suited to the class? kinda getting annoyed when most of the only equipment I find is like heavy armor for mages and spell boosting power on the warrior and barbarian. Just saying I'd like to be able to consistently get to like level 6 before being screwed by random enemy spawns around the stairs.

Ice mage needs buff he has no dmg apart from his shit staff and his first spell he gets, the staff says it slows, but in the reality it blows and doesn't actually slow anything the dev trolled us by sayng that then you have 2 freezes if you pick ice book, NO DAMAGE ONLY FREEZES THAT DO NOTHING, BUT FREEZE THE ENEMY, yeah 1 dmg spells the 2 freezes don't do dmg a staff which doesn't slow becouse the dev lied, and it feels so shit playing ice mage in this game.

Gaaaaah! "Q" doesn't stand for image quality! It stands for QUIT!
That was not a good thing! I was doing well in that game.

So luckly I found a greater fire staff(+2) in shop(barely collect enough gold to buy it), enchant it 2 times (~16 dmg per shot), have enough mana to wreck havoc. Then your rng dungeon creation make my char enter the dungeon around 5 enemies, one enemy is happened to be reflecting my dmg by 100%. Could you give us a little chance to beat the game once in while?

I found a little bug (might be browser-related): In the Vault of Yendor, the Hellhounds leave behind clouds where their walls of fire were when they die. The clouds won't disappear. There were also two clouds that even remained when I took the stairs up. They just "followed" to the upper levels, remaining in the place they originally were on the Yendor level.

Not sure if bug or not, but I have had allies fail to spawn (skeletons and swords) at least 4 times. I also can not read the text for the transformation box which caused me to test it because i wasn't exactly sure what would happen. I noticed the text bug in a game play video too (both our browsers are firefox).
Anyways, great game! It's very addicting. I still have not won :(

You asked for things that don't make sense: Ring of speed (or anything that says it increases your speed.). Whatever these items claim to do, I can't actually see what they are doing. I think better descriptions of items, abilites...etc throughout the entire game are a major requirement.

finally done after so many attempts, it depends on luck with items, also maths help a lot (evasion with reflection works great)
i also played part I and maps there were much bigger, why in III they are so small? would be great to play III on locations of I size, also enemies respawn in II was nice, it was possible to lvl up on easier locations.

Adding to prev comment (bug): I was able to reload the game, but found myself at a differenet spot on lvl 13. Maybe a blink was cast on me when I wanted go upstairs? At least my game is not lost yet.

I have found a bug:
I've just reached lvl 13 (vault of yendor) and found myself surronded by like 10 monsters. I killed three of them in one shot with my ranger but then a spider like creater threw a web at me. As I was still standing on the stairs, I went upstairs to get rid of the web but the game crashed (losing 2 hours of gameplay). Please fix this. I have the screenshot if that helps.

This game has much potential but it's such a mess. I see countless of poor mechanics and blatant bad decisions from the development part. I really really wish the game wasn't harsh as is.

well mate, the enchanter is pretty good, as long as the use of the enviroment is in play, with all of the explosive mushooms being stepped on, along with the combination of lowered health from the frenzy of confusion, kinda wish there was more than mushrooms though

Soo.... I had a lvl 21 warrior, +5 vamp gloves, +5 inferno sword, +6 spear (idk why i had a +6 item spawn, that was new), +5 leather armor, 19 strength, 19 stealth (cuz i chose to try to do stealth+critical setup, and it was working), 467 gold, skill bar filled with EXACTLY the skills i wanted, got to the last floor, clearing out the enemies easily, and..... burned to death 2 spaces away from the goblet, from my own hellfire scroll (was standing on a spider web) ;-; at least it also killed all of the monsters left in the dungeon... 10/10 would kill myself like an idiot again XD

Things enchanters are good at: Hitting 1 damage shots, dying on the first level, dying before confusion can gain AOE, making confusion wands exist so every other class can have an overpowered level 3 skill to wreck entire rooms with.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the damage over time spells are way too strong. If you get one without a potion you are dead. 16 ticks of infectious disease is a bit much.

My first win! Totally RNG-based run on a warrior, where I used a halberd/strafe/2x movement boots to cheese every enemy. Many other factors helped seal the deal, but those 3 were overpowered together.

This is definitely an improvement on the already solid previous versions, but still has a few parts where you can polish it better.
In particular, I'd suggest giving more information in general - the specific range of damage you could deal, how much damage 'resistance' takes off, the speed of an enemy you're looking at, the duration of poison... Whether you have a separate "guide" or just show more information about on-screen characters, it'd definitely help cut down on ambiguity.

The variable damage is trash. The foe damage is consistent while we are stuck doing 3-4 with a 20+ power weapon. Unacceptable. You wanted to make the game more skill based, but your solution was putting a band-aid over a brain tumor. 90% of the time, when I die, it's because of the following.1- Swarmed by an unavoidable group of ridiculously numbered enemies with no options to fight back unless I luck into n item. 2- I fight one melee enemy and a healer. The melee blocking me from the healer. The variable damage won't let me hurt the beefy melee enough to kill, and the healer can spam heals from a distance. 3- I'm do good, but suddenly, unavoidable, undetectable, and unpreventable pit/teleport trap whisks me away to a away where a small army was waiting to kick my butt. Refer to 1. It's just luck if I step on them or not. Trail and error game-play at its finest, ladies and gents. 4- Same as above except... The wall bursts open and a small army pops out to kick my butt! Refer to 1.

Your movement algorithm for clicking has a bad habit of moving you away from something when you want to move closer. Both in auto-explore and in manual. If you click on a square which is blocked by enemies/"dangerous tiles", it won't let you move there, and can even "find" a path that is in the opposite direction and wraps around. Result: I just died in a huge battle with like 4 orc mages, 6 orc berserkers, and multiple orc soldiers. Why? Because I clicked on the right side of the screen to move right, and my character moved left, directly into a square surrounded by 3 orc berserkers.
There needs to be some sort of warning saying "path blocked by obstacle" or "path blocked by enemy" instead of making you walk across the entire map or moving you to your death in battle b/c of an assortment of fire mushrooms or flame walls "blocking" your path.

Great game! I finally got a character that made it really far, but when I reached a vault, I was swamped with reflective golems. As a ranger, all my focus had been on dexterity+range skill. I used up all my consumables (wands + scrolls) and used all of the terrain. There were still 5+ golems to kill. Eventually, I accidentally shot one of the golems and killed myself with a crit. Very frustrating. Is there any way to deal with that or is the ranger character useless in face of reflectiveness?

Once upon a time I permanently charmed a vampire bat. Their name was Camicula. They died when I did something stupid and opened a glyph-covered door. Rest in Peace Count/Countess Camicula.
Then I also died. Rest in Peace me.

It does suck when you play as storm mage and never get a storm staff or anything suitable. Merchant only has plate armor items. I do have 4 twohanded melee weapons though

You might want to tune down spawns a little. Just now I had stage 2 with 2 archers, goblin brute and warrior, 2 rats and shielded vampire bat. Thats probably my one and only complaint about tjis game. I have a blast playing it. It reminds me of "pixel dungeon" mobile game I used to play a ton. Hands down best game kongregate had in few years.

we need something to unsummon the squeletons: for a necro having 5 or 6 summons, trying to do the arcane tower is impossible: they do not teleport with us, and we are stuck with 5 mana

Rogue Fable II is one of my favorite Kongregate games--I'm so happy to see a sequel! I would definitely buy these if you put enhanced versions on Steam, too.
