Under rating threshold (show) I've noticed this for a while but, in rooms where after X many turns the treasure room door closes, there is a switch located in the room. However, you can't activate the switch (which I assume prevents the door from closing). Can't say I care whether the switch is there or not since I grab all the loot upon seeing it or not but I'm guessing that's a bug.

Under rating threshold (show) BUG ALERT Going down the stairs, the screen faded to black and refused to load. Refreshing the page, I continued from save, which is me standing on the staircase. I can still move around, do everything just fine, but the moment I tried going down the stair, the screen fades to black again.

Under rating threshold (show) 2 lvl 10+ enchanter, all with exactly 0 weapon drop/wishing well, and all vendor decided to NOT sell staffs. Seriously, I get that the game's somewhat luck based, being a roguelike game and all, but PLEASE increase the weapon drop/find/sell rate.

Under rating threshold (show) Hey! I love this game and would really like to support it when it comes to early access on steam! A small, tiny gripe i have with games like this is when you put on a new piece of gear and your sprite doesn't change at all. Now, I completely understand that would mean drawing new art for each piece of gear on each character potentially, But it could be something as simple as their clothes change color on certain parts of their body, flag the wizard hat as a "Red" clothes item so their head item turns red, and if you think that messes with the visual design for the game, have this feature be toggle-able. Again, just a tiny gripe I have with all games of this type and again i completely understand why you wouldn't want to do it. But I do love this game and I hope to see it on steam soon!

Under rating threshold (show) Change this: if you click on the exploding vase, either attack it, or say it's out of sight. I HATE it when you accidentally click on somewhere far away vase, then your character idiotically ran into it, then attack for a quick and firey suicide. 5/7 of my games died like this, and it's no longer funny anymore.

Under rating threshold (show) sooo, I fell into a pit trap, went back up the stairs, the stairs placed me in a room full of enemies (there was even someone on the same tile as I) then I used the wand that summons swords to try and even the fight, then the game froze, GG

Under rating threshold (show) Ugh. Half of the weapons I find should relate to my character. Or even a quarter! My barbarian can't get past level eight-ish with the starting weapon. Same for my archer, etc.

Pretty much all of them. DCSS is what I've spent the most time with. BRogue I've never gotten super far with but loved the way it handled environmental stuff. ToME4 I find quite annoying with its absurd number of stats and min/maxing but I like the way that it uses tons of talents/abilities to get rid of a lot of the bump to attack spam.

Under rating threshold (show) So... my ranger was on the last floor. He cleared 3 side branches and hat 100+ damage and over 80 health... and then a few things happened. A few fire pots, to be exact. And a double crit from afar. Very well...

Under rating threshold (show) Does power strike with a cleaving axe not hit all adjacent enemies? I just literally died because of this if I'm correct. Swing the axe harder and you only hit one person. How intuitive. Also, how does shooting someone with an ice staff when they're in the water not freeze them :p

Under rating threshold (show) Okay; you already have me stumped. My need for food came rather quickly. So I started with a piece of meat. Then what? Yeah, it's great finding a scroll quickly. Some instructions and even a tutorial would help. I would like to play this game as it is rather promising. I just don't want to waste my time on a learning curve that won't necessarily produce fun.

There will always be a switch somewhere in the level if the stairs themselves are locked behind a gate.

Under rating threshold (show) Is there any way to intentionally step on dangerous terrain? Sometimes I'd rather take that damage than the huge fire spell that's raging towards me.

Shift + click will let you disable the warning and step onto dangerous terrain.

Under rating threshold (show) Necromancer has long been my favorite class to play, and that still hasn't changed. Life spike will kill anything with a single cast once you get your duration up, and it tagging one or two big monsters mean you can start the cannibalism/life spike spam to start one-shotting the smaller critters. If it weren't for those crystal golems reflecting my spells, I could have skipped minions in favor of just become an all-consuming vampire.

Under rating threshold (show) I am sorry what you personally thing, but variable damage makes ranged weapons get used up way too fast, as that is what I see from my first knight playthrough in this version of rogue fable. I do not want to have to be forced to used consumables while you put even less than last game into this one, and it was not just "click your way to victory", you had to move, position, and plan back then also.

Under rating threshold (show) Made an unbeatable ranger... or so I thought. Ran into a crystal golem with a reflect ability. Had to lead him around into the shrooms and almost killed him before he started running away. Went up to punch him since I couldn't use my bow, but apparently he reflects some melee damage, too, and I was already low on health. Died by punching a rock. 10/10

Under rating threshold (show) Infuriatingly difficult. I love it. Too many runs are brought undone by (1) treasure of the same type dropping (2) no access to the OP items you need to win [charm of disease, regen etc] (3) traps that dump you into a pile of monsters with no way out.

Under rating threshold (show) awesome game, a lot of potential. You should get more things from Desktop dungeon, theres a lot of awesome things like diferent races (dwarfs, goblins, etc...) with diferent abilities to complemente the game, i personally believe that your game have potential to be a better version of desktop dungeon. What about a monk class, some sub-bosses and more npcs with side-quest. anyway, 10 out of 10, keep going

Thank you :) Races were actually a thing and were disabled prior to release due to being rough and needing more work. More classes, abilities etc. are all in the works for the future.

Each class just takes a different set of tactics and 'gotchyas' that once you figure them out makes the class significantly easier to play. I think everyone just has a different play style which is why some classes are easier or harder for different people. The current record for win streaks (12) is actually with the warrior.

Under rating threshold (show) REQUESTS FOR THE DEV: A) Please make the health bar blink when you are below 1/3 or 1/4 health! B) Please place books in inventory instead of auto-applying so new players can mouseover to find out what they do. If I find a 2nd copy of a book I already read, do I get a skill point, or does nothing happen? C) A monster manual or lexicon of defeated enemies would be amazing. D) Add mouseover showing the bonuses and penalties applied to stealth stat. EX: You have a total bonus of 25% from your points, but a penalty of -20% from your shield... so is your stealth bonus total 20% (25 * 0.8) or 5% (25% - 20%) ? All I can think of at the moment. Wonderful game overall. VERY CHALLENGING.

Thanks for the feedback! Your requests have been added to the great 'todo' list! A repeated book if it contains the exact same talents you already have will do nothing atm. In the future this will hopefully be mitigated somewhat by just having a lot more talents so its unlikely to overlap with what you've got. Could also make it just not drop a book if there are no more remaining talents etc.

Under rating threshold (show) GREAT GAME! The best I've done so far is getting my Ranger to level 17 before "killing myself" by attacking a crystal gollem the first time I encountered it. (What was I thinking??) Tips: Get lucky! Find good armor and a health/regen charm of some sort early! Evasion is your friend, and armor is a great backup when enemies pierce that. Dodge dodge dodge potential damage. Health potions are scarce. NOTES: the < and > keys will take you to the stairs. It would be nice if once you complete exploration, there was a message that said "press [ > ] key to fiind stairs." I didn't discover this hotkey until I was more than half way through my SIXTEENTH run.

Charms will always start with 0 charges, you've got to wear them to charge them up. If you remove a charm it also loses it charges. The idea is that you have to temporarily 'commit' to a given charm and can't just keep hot swapping them.

Under rating threshold (show) I just oneshotted myself because of a crystal golem. How can I bypass their defenses? Do they only reflect range attacks or also melee attacks? I just encountered them 1 time with the ranger but I couldn't do much (as I said I oneshotted myself). I also have a nitpick, when I have one spell selected and I select another one, it will just cancel the first one (so I need to select the second one 2 times). It would be great if we could directly change to another one.

Under rating threshold (show) 2 tries as barbarian/warrior/rogue 1 as fire/storm/ice mage 8 as enchanter and 18 as necromancer and finally 4 tries as Ranger, and last one finally successful! Lucky to buy long bow +3, upgraded to +5. Lucky to find good chant (electric damage to surrounding enemies), upgraded till +4. Also lucky to find enchanter book so I've charmed enemies. And Ranger was a killer able to do ~130 crit damage per one power shot. Game is great and it took me a lot of health to finally finish it (I wonder however how this can be done by melee class - being honest I've found only Enchanter and Necromancer as being able to survive first few levels). Thing I personally didn't like it's too much randomness in loot. I do understand that you cannot always get everything you want for your class but receiving only plate items when playing mage or being unable to find upgraded weapon for your class (over and over again) is not only really annoying but also makes game (I guess?) unbeatable in many runs.

Thanks for the feedback and congrats on your first win! Warrior actually has the highest win streak, with one of the guys in our discord channel going 12 for 12 so its certainly possible with a warrior and even in the face of bad loot. From the a lot of the comments here I think a lot of people are stuck in the mindset that a caster can NEVER wear plate armor, wield a melee weapon etc. or that a melee can NEVER use spells and make use of the caster drops. The game is specifically designed around the idea that you need to make use of what drops for you regardless of what your class is. If you play with the mindset that only 25% of drops are usable because they are specific to your class then I can understand why it would seem that the randomness doesn't make sense. I think you'l find though that if you play flexibly and adapt your build to what your getting that it is almost certainly beatable with any class regardless of what drops.
