Good balance of difficulty, I suggest picking up a book with duplicate skills to what you already own gives you +1 to a random skill from the book or possibly all 3 skills.

first win as a ranger, this is a grand game.
I do feel like the shop prices are a little steep at best I can buy once piece of gear but mostly I can only buy food.

Love the game, but the item drops seem to be a bit off. I get that it's be too easy if every time you play as a certain class the chests have all the best items in them, but I've consistently fount that the best way to find plate armor, shields, and such is to play as a rogue or mage. Also, I have never found a key and a locked room in the same game. Three keys in a game. Sure. Three locked rooms? You bet. Key and a room. Not once.

I'm a huge fan, probably went all the way through RFII once a week. But I think the degree of difficulty for this one might be a bit high. Losing those health and mana mushrooms really leaves you stranded sometimes. Playing through 25 or 30 times and not getting past level 13 takes away from the fun.

3 crystal chests equals now same as 1 rare random chest. You should make either some indication what there might be. One enemy on each chest with one skill of containing book. Or as a nut kicker, after picking, show what others had :) for example.

OMG I'm an idiot. I built up a wonderful character. Then didn't watch my health... died with FOUR health potions. FOUR! And I was even on a side-path - I could've gone back and mowed down all the mooks on the main path even if I ran out of potions. #DumbestThingIveEverDone

Just had the same bug as ichbinsehselber. Loaded a game middle of floor 5 or 6, finished the floor, tried to descend, screen fades (mostly) to black and crashes.

BUG report:
Loaded a game which was saved some time past, worked fine until I descended the stairs. Which led to a black screen crash

perfect aim talent can't be used on skill (power shot)? i thought only shelves, doors and walls that can hinder perfect aim;and tunnel shot doesn't have increased damage (each foe passed through) before target? or after? i wish i could destroy doors (with fireball or something) when the foe sealed it :D

Wow, I finally won after 25+ attempts. Amazing game! I was able to beat it by going Necromancer and focusing on skeleton summoning. With every other attempt, I would die around lvl 11 or 12, for some reason. It's not like I'm new to this game concept; I played the CRAP out of RFII.

Love this game, wish there was an endless mode (because the end is kinda underwhelming after building your character up for 2 hours or so) Unfair deaths are part of the game, I guess ( went downn to the core...ok, lava...took 1 step and got ambushed by 3 firespitting swimming snake thingies...RIP...), but I'm still playing

I can't head down from lvl11 of the tower to lvl12 each time I try the screen fades to black and freezes. Is anyone having a similar problem or is it just me?

Ha that 45 min time limit is right on the money. I finally won with all the classes. Half the time my biggest task was not making a mistake while also trying to fly through the level.

After winning the game with Enchanter, Storm mage and Ranger I was tempted to try melee character. I thought it will be hard to survive when you have to move to your enemies, but then I went warrior, it was unbelievable! With good weapon you oneshot your enemies, shield block and axe helps you to clear swarms fast. My HP was about 120 to the end of the game, I had 20+ protection and finding Flash Freeze spell spelled doom to my foes. One of the easiest run in this game!

I am a HUGE fan of the series. Nimber 2 was good. But THIS is just awesome. A necromancer with 10+ skeletons with a dominated Rat Catcher... Havent seen so many friendly summons running around shredding everything))) Thank you guys!

It'd be nice if you didn't kill yourself with autoexplore and the greater staff of lightning AoE. I randomly died because my character hit boxes whilst standing next to them.

@Apalone: Summoning skeletons consume max mana points (this way you can't have an infinite army all at once). Also sustained effect skills do the same

Can the toxic disease please not affect the necromancer? I keep casting it when i'm getting swarmed and just obliterating myself

My save is corrupted some how. I'm on sewers 1 and every time I try to go down 1 level the game crashes. Any way I can get this to you so you can see what happened?

if there were a longer mode where achievements gave you upgrades, such that it was extremely extremely difficult to win without any achievements, and such that it was long enough to get really powerful, that would be really fun. even if the sprites were repetitive

It should require a shift-click to shoot obstacles, forcing the player to move 1 space at a time results in people who use the mouse clicking repeatedly in order to move faster to kite enemies, and if a pot happens to be in line with your mage... bam, dead. Or you lose a turn by shooting a mushroom you didn't need to or could have used. There's no point in merging the attack/move control system for streamlining gameplay if the game is going to randomly punish the player for using it.

I find this game rather captivating. I believe the ranger is a little op, but maybe it's because it suits my style of play better.
What I'd like to see is a little of incremental rewards for each win with a given class. For instance, 1 win with the ranger, start out with +1 ranged skill. Five wins, +2 ranged, better starting gear or something like that. Just to keep it groovy.

"Spawners will now give all the exp of the remaining NPCs when killed so that the optimal strategy isn’t to sit around grinding them." ...Extremely good change. I admit that I was, indeed, sitting around grinding them.

Why don't our mages have resistance their native element? Going up against fire-based enemies as a fire mage weakens your damage output, but theirs seems to stay the same.

Problem with the staff of poison that I don't see happening with other weapons: enemies get to move and/or attack even in the same round that you kill them with it! Example: a bat is two tiles away. I shoot it with the staff. The bat moves towards me, attacks, and THEN dies. Another example: a rat is right next to me, with 1 hp left. I shoot it with the staff for 1 damage. The rat attacks me and THEN dies. OTOH, if an enemy is right next to me (or, for a fast enemy, two tiles away) and I attack it for all its remaining hp with a different weapon, it dies before it gets to take a turn.
