Under rating threshold (show) I had two rings of learning on, and I drank from the fountain of experience. I wonder if these three actually stacked, or whether I just lost 60% of health for nothing? Did not see a massive spike in learning speed.

Under rating threshold (show) Beat the game with necromancer (my second win), definitely felt like you could win more reliably with that class than barbarian. The only dangers are running out of mana or getting swarmed by enemies.

Under rating threshold (show) if the only weapon I have is in my quick use spot, which I do for my staff cause it's the only way to quickly cast without having to aim, then I can't get mushrooms out of the way and it's a real pain

Under rating threshold (show) FINALLY!!!! No, I don't have a secret formula, it was pure luck. Got the right items, scrolls, books (used a firemage with charm, swiftness and ice armor) and was cautious. You shouldn't be able to retrieve the golbet unless you defeated all the enemies, because I used 1 scroll of teleport and 2 blinks and skipped the entire army of enemies.

Under rating threshold (show) Got an "Endless Desert" level where I never escaped the dust storm and had a second challenge room pop open when I opened the first one, scroll of teleport took me across the level but I still died instantly. Was fun before that ridiculousness.

Under rating threshold (show) All skill points should go into Fortitude to max your HP. All ability points should go into Strength if you're a fighter, Intelligence if you're a mage, or Dexterity if you want to just run from enemies the entire time. Wells of Wishing and Scrolls of Acquirement can allow you to choose any item in the game if you're patient enough (just quit&save, continue, summon an item, and refresh the page if you get the wrong item). Get a charm of healing (fighters) or of energy (mages) ASAP, and use tables of Transference to max out that charm whenever you have a chance. Pretty easy to beat the game with any class using that technique.

Under rating threshold (show) After playing many more games, I think that the huge difficulty spikes can lead to literally unwinnable scenarios for classes that lack range (in particular barbarian) even rogue, playing will everyones recomendations, you can simply have spawns of enemies that bring too many casters or healers and doom you. Enemy healers are way to powerful in that they can cure sleep and other ailments. RNG on early drops become everything! Pls balance this a little more, and the game would be perfect.

Under rating threshold (show) To be clear: I rated 5/5 and absolutely adore this game. What bothers me is the limit of 16 levels (new game+ would be sweet) and, especially, the RNG for drops. I'm pretty tired of getting all warrior stuff while playing mages and all mage stuff while playing warriors. (Even if the drops didn't change, making the merchant more class-relevant would make the drops endurable due to the transference tables.) I basically just bare-knuckled through with Necro (Not first win, probably 14th or so) due to finding nothing but rings (found two Vampire rings), melee weapons, and plate armor (I'm confident I wouldn't have made it if Necro didn't have the Summon-LifeTap-Cannibal combo).

Under rating threshold (show) Good job! I'm big fan of rogue-like games, but this one i found REALLY difficult, almost quited. Some tips for those struggling for the Hard Badge: 1. Do all the secondary dungeons (starting at lvl 10) 2. Build extremely tanky, all the points on fortitude, you can get from 100 to 0 in a second at late levels. 3. Use your wands! Specially on monsters that have weakness from elements. 4. Confusion wands/scrolls are OP us them when you are surrounded. 5. Dont stay on unstable ground. And finally, DON'T GIVE UP! Try different classes and keep playing, ending the game is really rewarding!

Under rating threshold (show) Hey I don't know if it is an error, but i feel like it is, in that. Sometimes I have bad guys on flammable material, and i want to shoot fire mushrooms so that they get burnt, but it wont let me target the fire mushrooms, and my guy just walks towards them.

Under rating threshold (show) I kept dying for no reason while playing necromancer, and it took me FOREVER to figure out I'd been hit by my own infectious disease. I suppose I should have seen it coming, given that you can blow yourself up as a fire mage. :/

Under rating threshold (show) I think that it should not be possible as a necromancer to inflict yourself with infectious disease. Tried to play as a posion necromancer, instead of usual summon skeletons.. Hit myself once because a pack of mobs made a chain reaction through my skeletons to me... 30 rounds of taking 5 dmg pr turn, you're doomed if you dont have something to remove the disease - My own mistake for sure, but I dont think it should be possible to make that mistake.

Under rating threshold (show) It's a well-made game but the extremely random encounters, drops etc. kind of destroys it. RNG makes the game replay-friendly and the variation can be fun and exciting, but after completing the game I still didn't wear a full set of equipment and I used Staff of Poison the whole run as a Necromancer. Sure I was able to enchant it once, but still... Equipment should be a common thing in a game like this. Most of the items I found also had perks on them that penalized the use of them. Some skills are also pretty much essential which makes others useless and kind of the destroys the core concept of the game being so open to player choices. I guess a game like this is very hard to balance though. Also, maybe it's just my setup but the audio was really weird headphones. Background music was kind of playing from one side, but when I pick up an item or do any sound effect, all sound comes from both sides in stereo and louder, and then it keeps switching like that, which is kind of weird.

Under rating threshold (show) Just completed the game with a barbarian character. The game seemed a bit easier than Rogue Fable II, although maybe that's because I have more practice now. I like the added detail and variety compared to the previous game, but it felt like the success or failure of a given run depended a bit more heavily on the RNG.

Under rating threshold (show) managed to do it! necromancer, put points into life spike and focus, and when you can't lvl them add it to toxic mastery. cannibalise and summon skeleton are helpful, depends on personal preference. i managed without either. it takes a bit of luck with the right things dropping, but it works!!

Under rating threshold (show) how did i die !! i was a LICH GOD !! my states ? with level 18 necromancer and a huge 34 in intelligence thanks to a +5 and a +4 rings of intelligence and MANA with( 10 skill points in spellcasting and 8 in focus plus maxing the focus skill and a +0 shoes that gives +3 in mana ... hi i had a 42 in MANA !!! 6 points used by swiftness and the rest allowing me to summon 10 maxed skeleton soldiers with 7 points left to use either (burst of flame) or a (static discharge) i left the (+1 charm of confusion) as a memento since it saved me once in my weak days , what left are the obvious (life spike) and (canibalism) the last was toxic attunement . the (arcane tower) and the (ice cave) were both a walk in the park . my inventory of wands and scrolls just collected the dust . but i died in (( lv 14 of vault of yendor )) how ? Even i don't know (remember i had swiftness ) , i was ambushed i blinked and there (-_-) [[ killed by ice bomb ]] bye !!

Under rating threshold (show) You can reuse wells of wishing and scrolls of acquirement to reroll for the best items by quitting and saving the game, continuing your saved game, and then trying to obtain an item using a well of wishing or scroll of acquirement. If you don't like the item, just reload the page and continue your savegame to try again. OP items make getting the hard badge a breeze.

Under rating threshold (show) Most easy and secure way for me to get the hard badge is with the necromancer and a bunch of skeletons. The idea is getting high mana (something around 30) and level 3 skeleton and never engage. Use cannibalize to have always mana and Life spike (almost always in our skeletons) to recover health after cannibalize. It is important to have also high life in case of surprise. Most important talents in this order: Summon Skeleton, Cannibalise, Focus, Life spike. Other talents (Toxic mastery to kill some enemies yourself). Most important skill points: Focus (until 30 mana), Stealth and Spell Casting. Always have 7-10 skeletons around you and try to have 3 mana free for casting Life spike and let the skeletons do the hard work for you. It's and slow way but a secure one (Do always side dungeons to get more experience)

Under rating threshold (show) @Kazuth if you are running out of food, you may be waiting between battles too much. Never died from hunger and was a problem once for me. Heck, I rarely buy meat from merchant. Instead of waiting after every battle you may use food as a lesser potion. That's out of 175 games now.
