I'm sure you want to believe this is a game of intelligence and strategy, but common sense is all thats needed there. The other half is luck. Do you think being a genius would make you win at rock, paper, scissors? Now go check out how so many players have a 1:1 win/loss ratio.

i dont know if its a coding error or just incredibly unlucky but i was missing a lot of attacks last night that only had 10% 5% or even 4% chances to miss. infact i missed 2 90% hit rate atks in 3 atks and it almost cost me the game.

when a I face ambrosia thorn with marquis, she uses bleeding ritual and i use teleport. since i have a higher speed attack, bleeding ritual misses, BUT I'M STILL HIT WITH THE EFFECT. This happens on every attack with a proc, even if it misses, you are still hit by the effect. is it supposed to be this way or just a bug?

Dman luck, i failes like 6 times in just one game, i dont know if was a cheat or something.
If Kongregate guys can see the logs of the battle, please look the one with me against FennOfTheFlames
It was really awesome, i failes 2 Pilebunker in a row, then i failed one sword flurry and a power slash with onimaru ¬¬, and when i was talking to him, asking if he had a cheat or something i also failes another sword flurry ...

There needs to be a limit on the consecutive number of times an opponent times out. I was whooping up on a guy and he went AFK. Long fight when the timer just keeps going.

Mojo: they have already punished many people that have tried to do just that. They keep records on the players and the players themselves often report them too.

I'm sure there are ways to cheat, but they would need two machines with two different internet addresses to play themselves. In any case, if someone has been here a while and played the weekly games they likely already have all the cards. I know I do.

yeah Labpwnr play a little more first before making such statements and conclusions. Intelligence is the key. Yeah of course some luck is involved but skill and intelligence is primary.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
LABpwner, don't be stupid, this is an strategy game -.-
You don't have to be lucky, you have to be inteligent... If it's too hard for you, maybe the problem is YOUR strategy.

oneyedog, yeah I think it's cheesy, maybe they could add some code to detect "suspicious" wins/loses. check on account with 0 wins, see if they lost to the same player all the time and remove, or reset that persons deck.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
mojo I think if someone is willing to play against themselves the number of times it takes to get a complete deck, then first of all that is sad, secondly there are always going to be loop holes and it is just up to the individuals whether or not they choose to find and exploit them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What's to stop a person from have 2 or more accounts and only playing him/herself? Couldn't you get a whole deck this way?

Tiziu: Cornelius probably had an item equipped to him that gave him a 30 percent chance of recovering with 1 life every time he would die. It's no glitch, just a good item.

Getting cards is way to hard. I have won 15 times now and lost 28, because i always get opponents with won cards who are just much better then the starters. This is really getting boring.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think it would be better if once the little clock thing at the top ran out you could declare victory because i was fighting a total noob who waited till it was gone to pick a move really annoying
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
They need to up it to 100 cards...that way we can have more than 1 challenge a month, and card-trading would then be possible.

Was just checking the "miss" system.
You have attacks that miss, say, 90% of the time.
But with 5 20% to miss thingys on a character (such as through ring of curses, amaya's shadow curse, or phoebe's deafening crack), attacks still sometimes get through.
Why?
Is this because:
1. There is a bug in the system.
2. Each 20% to miss is not cumulative, but factors into the remaining chance to hit (giving a mathematical formula of 80% to the 5th power, or 32% chance to hit left)
3. There is a baseline chance to hit that cannot be removed.
4. Something different entirely?

if your having problems with switchers use higashi the master with mind readers chalice his intercepts are a free chance to do 75 damage and fully restore energy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For those of you whining about switching, it's part of the strategy of the game. See the intercept button? You can stop people from switching. If there was no switching, people could win based on good cards alone, rather than strategy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hey darkparadox that isnt true because if you set up a fight with onimaru and someone with only phys attacks the victor is most likely onimaru because he gets rid of 10 damnage from phys. but its all about strategy.

when you get cards it says for the "What do you use these for" section that you "Can use them in the card game that will be released later this year."
The game is released, just thought I'd point out the small error. =]

glenn3e, why are you giving advice at all, when it's pretty obvious you forfeit to gain wins with the jessicakeller account?
ktchong and the_round_peg are another obvious couple.

acehigh I think you miss the point of the game. Switching is an integral strategy the game was build around with. Learn to intercept.
