Ugh, 39 - 18, 0 won cards? I have 15 now, thanks to the stuff I got from the weekly challenges. What's the word on that? Has Kongregate indicated the system they use?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
may i say that it is a collectable card game not a tradeing card game theres 2 challanges a week now infact 3 if you count that 1 on kongai its easy enough to get cards already and theres only like 40 whats the point in a shop/trade place

My suggestions to improve the game:
1. Cards dropping by chance should be changed to an earnable/tradeable system. Random chance is bad no matter how high the chance is. Don't increase the card challenges to two a week - its not necessary! In a trade based system, don't allow Starter cards to be traded.
2. The game is heavily weighted towards luck, when it should be about strategy or a balance of luck and strategy. Getting rid of 90% chances to hit and making them 100% would be a good start towards correcting this.
3. Allow people to re-pick their starter cards. If it must be limited, make it something like every time I gain a level I get a chance to repick them.

Actually, the game isn't made by Kongregate, it's made by David Sirlin from Sirlin.net
Maggotheart - I don't think the drop rate needs to be increased and havn't since the game started ;P I don't yet have 30 cards, and have gained cards since I started playing.
Most of you people complaining about the card drop probably wouldn't stop even if they doubled the card drop rate. Seriously. They are even talking about having two challanges a week (and may have started doing it already) simply because of all the complaining.
The people in charge of the game are carefully monitoring the drop rates and changing them as nessecary, I assure you. I would recommend trusting in the programmer and kongregate's ability to balancing things as nessecary. ^^

lagalagallma, in instructions it says : if you beat someone at ur lvl you gain X points, someone 10 lvls higher u win Y points and lower levels Z(?) points

You know, bjefferson, I get you logic, but anything, including 0, divided by 0 is undefined.
Any number divided by itself is one, but any number divided by zero is undefined because how many zeros go into, say, 5? Infinite. So, if you divide zero by itself, you get a number divided by zero. Undefined, but also 1 because you divide 0 by itself. Since it can't have 2 answers, 0/0 is undefined. So you can't rate anything undefined. LOLZ. All that for a simple statement.

beating a high lvl opponent does increase your rank more. Rank = Ranked matches. Level = any match. Level is just total wins. Rank = How good you are
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think there should be a way to level up cards, and ranking should mean more than letting the other opponent know what skill level they are playing against. Maybe there should be certain matches/tournaments that you can only enter if you are a certain level.

If you rate a game 0/0 then that literally means nothing.
So really your rate didnt count since 0 is a dividend and a numerator and the definition of 0 is nothing =D

if you start with onimaru or vanessa, juju touch of doom will worker badly, as you will have good attacks agoinst them(TOD takes 4 turns, with onimaru u can kill him in 2 turns...)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, about my juju tod comment, I start with Ninja, and she has 50% chance to dodge intercept...it's always worth it for me to change out
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd like to see a Dodge option (costing 5-10 action points?) that gives you, say, an additional 15% chance to avoid an incoming attack. Sometimes I want to wear down someone's action by forcing them to try and change ranges or I have nothing to attack with but don't need to rest and think it's unlikely that they'll try to switch.

GamerDude, the guy who designs Kongai for Kongregate is David Sirlin. Try contacting him with your ideas through his website:

if your opponent opens with juju, use "get far" thus rendering ToD useless. If they use "get close" the next turn, they won't have the mana to use ToD.

Secondly, I thought of a sort of joke set called "The Kongregate" in which it'd be five characters from the various popular flash games on the site. You could have...say...Sonny and the Last Stand Guy, and three others. Whatever you felt like.
If this is not the best way to get my idea to the Kongai team, could you please send me an email with their email address?
Thanks.

I had a couple of ideas come to me for new Kongai card sets and I figure'd I'd tell you. Feel free to use them if you want.
The first set I had thought of would be elementalists. Sure, sounds like a bunch of boring mages, right? Not true. The way I saw them was that every one of them(the four standard elements, then maybe the fifth being void or steel or something) would be like the one Villager woman with a tiger, in that it'd be two beings in one card, an elementalist and an elemental.
I'm not sure how you'd break up skills, but I thought that maybe their could be one or two buffs/debuffs(that the mage would cast) and then two or three attacks(that the elemental would use). They'd be a unique set art wise, and could be rather varied.
As for the light and dark defense stuff, you could..say..make water and wind light based, fire and steel/void dark based, and Earth have the highest defense. Just my personal thoughts, you could do whatever you want. It's your game.

Deeplight, what if someone realizes that and starts with Juju but intercepts rather than using Touch of Doom. Sorry, but after reading this you will probably always hesitate to try and evade Touch of Doom. :)

Randomization is broken. Open palm, with 25% chance tends to stun several times in a row, while with moves like Double Slash, with 95% hit rate, I have experienced missing 3 times in a row.
