Getting a lot of people I beat just disconnecting...presumably that doesn't save them from the rating change when I declare victory?

I thought Onimaru sucked big time at first, then he kinda grew on me, haha. Yoshiro is better all around, but Onimaru to me is a specialized tank. Between switching and turtling and flat-out aggression, he's good for mind games.

no it doesn't im tired of people saying it needs to be balanced, the only reason it isn't is because the cards built to counter the cards EVERYBODY uses and are supposedly "overpowered", nobody uses

Ub starter is becoming trend these days because of common CC starter. For the same reason Rumiko starter is increasing too.

AnotherXMan, no not necessarily, some people like to stay in because they can kill him and still have a couple turns to do some damage, plus if you intercept and your wrong, then he is worthless

While we're on the subject of deck trends, my mostly long-range decks had a lot of trouble with the fairly common Marquis de Morte - that is his name, right? - until I added Higashi and put Tafari in the front spot (no switch + devastating close-up combo.) I agree with Someguyinworld though; more than once I've had my rear end kicked by cards I formerly considered mediocre.

I've never used Juju myself. He's not as balanced as I would like, but you still have to be wary with him.
The card that scares me the most is Higashi. That dude can get you anywhere!

I think Juju's Touch of Doom is a really weak attack. If your opponent knows how to play, he can avoid it quite easy. And 1 more thing - Juju is definitely too slow... Even when he use ToD you still have 4 turns to kill him - and it's also not that hard...
glorfy - That's right, using Ubuntu seems to be a trend... but for me he's one of the best. You don't even have to attack - SA is enough scary to give you higher chance for good intercept. And his special ability - priceless

ok.... im been beaten for the first time by a ubuntu starter team. It took 4 (FOUR) dodges from yoshiro, a stun and a miss all of them in a row... but he did it.

IACN, starting with juju = automatic first turn swap. Just use a mindreader's chalice and intercept. It works for me.

I agree that starting with Ubuntu is a trend. It is mostly related to people using CC as a starter. He has a decent start against CC because CC can't use Pilebunker after get close with CC.

rofl! NOOOO! Ubuntu STINKS! Just because I use him in MOST of my balanced decks as a starter doesn't mean EVERYONE should! He rots. Really! Yup! Can't stand him.

Ubuntu is good especially with mask, but i think its just a trend using him as a starter. Tanks have high phys resist, so hes not that good up close. you have to go far to use SA and the range starts close, so u have to be lucky with the range dancing to use him as a starter.

Glorfy, unbuntu is sweet, if you stay close he uses staff strike, then you're in huge trouble because all their attacks generally do 20+ more damage. If you go far, he murders you with SA.

I returned to kongai after 5 or 6 months (im now sr 30 (26 few days ago)) and i can't guess why now everybody i play against is using ubuntu... furthermore as the starter. is it a new trend? actually it seems to me quite a non sense since 9 times on ten a well balanced deck can easily destroy every deck containing ubuntu.
