I really hate playing against random people.
I mean, I don't even know them. It can be a 10 years old child, it can be a good player, it can be a master of yomi. How the hell should I guess what hes gonna do if I don't know him?
Although the wins/losses gives a hint, it's still hard.
But I give this game a 5/5 anyway because I luv it s2 lol

another aspect of the strategy sp3ctrum is to be able to combine characters with a good item and to make a decent combination of characters to deal with different situations. Also you don't have to learn just the way your opponent is thinking. You can also play many matches and also learn the common techniques used with certain characters in the game. You then use this to your advantage by playing with this knowledge. Right now i have a little over 75% win ratio right now b/c i apply myself when i play an opponent. (and this includs some 5 card games mixed in which add even more strategy)

tybeet of course there isn't going to be perfectly even nmber of rock paper or scissors thrown. The fact that rock has been thrown more is just a coincidence.

"designed for those who feel right at home snuggled up in their opponent's brain" that means you are supposed to read the other persons mind thats impossible especially over the internet. What i have bean doing so far is trying different combinations of my cards that i have in order to be prepared for anny situation.I don't have all the card but i have a lot of them.The more games you play the more games you win the more games you win the more cards you EARN.They do not allow you to trade cards yet because they want you to play more and get better before they start just letting people get better by trading cards by trading the ones they don't want.To everyone that keeps complaining about not being able to trade cards 1.just wait until the creators of Kongai think we are ready 2.you got to pick the three cards you start with!

@sp3ctrum:
There is most certainly statistical data from RPS, gathered by and from RPS World Tournaments, and yes, rock is most commonly thrown in RPS games by males.
Likely because it is subconsciously perceived to be "strong", but that's for another discussion. The same thing might be said about many of the moves in Kongai, some of which are perceived to be strong or untouchable moves. Learn them, and you gain the upperhand by throwing paper.

You know what would make this game more interesting? Random deck matches, i.e. matches where both players are REQUIRED to play with a random deck. Right now choosing random is interesting, but it almost invariably leaves one at a disadvantage if your opponent has a well-made deck and the RNG sticks you with, say, Tafari equipped with the Yellow Rock of Cowards.

hedhunter: Bleeding Ritual can be used at either range. You can only cancel attacks that may only be used at far by doing a Teleport - like Spiritual Assistance. Voidstream would be another attack that cannot be canceled by Teleport.

Another common misconception is that there is some sort of "super card" and that is just not true. EVERY card has his/her specific strengths and weaknesses. You couldn't possibly know what your opponent is choosing, let alone who your opponent is (if you’re playing random matchmaking). This means you can never prepare for what cards they have. Feel free to correct anything I have typed.

@BammBlue...
First off there is no statistical data that shows most people choose rock in a game of rock, paper, scissors. Besides that, if you play a game of rps with some1, chances are you know them and you know their way of thinking. You can hardly relate that to kongai in which you face random multiple people. I could just as easily choose scissors first because I know that you're going to use paper. The odds are always the same in rps.. 33% chance of winning EVERY time. The only true strategy in kongai is to learn your opponent’s way of thinking and use that to your advantage. However, this is only a strategy and does not increase your chances of winning. Almost all of the hit ratios in this game are below 100% which means luck can always take effect…..

the game would be cooler if there were more cards to chose from and you could some how trade your cards with other players.... but its still really good

Please, add the possibility to see if the opponent has left the chat. And check the probabilities too, I think they're spoiled.

It works like this: If you suck and have no luck, you have a win/loss of 0:1. If you suck and have luck, you have 1:1. If you don't suck but have no luck, it's 2:1. If you don't suck but have luck, it's 3:1. So stop whining :P

There is actually alot of strategy here such as predicting your opponents moves and knowing when to swap out. However, you must also consider whether the opponent thinks you are going to swap, in which case you should stay in. It is this sort of circular logic that makes this game's strategy hard and different each game.

hey milki, I always do paper first in rock paprer scissors because many people start with Rock. Thus I am using skill to boost my odds of winning. The same thing works with Kongai.

i started kongregate awhile back and have been looking foward for this as of now iam very difficult to beat
this game takes alot of brainpower and strategy i like it 5/5

I'm sure you want to believe this is a game of intelligence and strategy, but common sense is all thats needed there. The other half is luck. Do you think being a genius would make you win at rock, paper, scissors? Now go check out how so many players have a 1:1 win/loss ratio.

i dont know if its a coding error or just incredibly unlucky but i was missing a lot of attacks last night that only had 10% 5% or even 4% chances to miss. infact i missed 2 90% hit rate atks in 3 atks and it almost cost me the game.

when a I face ambrosia thorn with marquis, she uses bleeding ritual and i use teleport. since i have a higher speed attack, bleeding ritual misses, BUT I'M STILL HIT WITH THE EFFECT. This happens on every attack with a proc, even if it misses, you are still hit by the effect. is it supposed to be this way or just a bug?

Dman luck, i failes like 6 times in just one game, i dont know if was a cheat or something.
If Kongregate guys can see the logs of the battle, please look the one with me against FennOfTheFlames
It was really awesome, i failes 2 Pilebunker in a row, then i failed one sword flurry and a power slash with onimaru ¬¬, and when i was talking to him, asking if he had a cheat or something i also failes another sword flurry ...

There needs to be a limit on the consecutive number of times an opponent times out. I was whooping up on a guy and he went AFK. Long fight when the timer just keeps going.

Mojo: they have already punished many people that have tried to do just that. They keep records on the players and the players themselves often report them too.

I'm sure there are ways to cheat, but they would need two machines with two different internet addresses to play themselves. In any case, if someone has been here a while and played the weekly games they likely already have all the cards. I know I do.
