his game is a bit random/luck-based, due to the switch/intercept possibilities. A wrong switch, or a right intercept can win/lose you the round.
And I encountered something that might be a bug: Vanessa Voss' attacks are stronger, based on your opponents dark resistance. I know it's supposed to be like that, but should that also give increased damage on intercepts (it does now...)?
Other than that, I wish it was a bit less of a mind game. Anyone who's tried to predict when your opponent will use intercepts/switch out based on how they've acted earlier in the battle knows what I mean...

they were just suggestions...
Just to throw a few ideas around.
however i don't see why trading wouldn't work...
The point about better cards is true... they should all be fairly equal
as to favouring people who'd been playing longer - the challenges would still be there, it's just the tiny chance would be changed for points so you could at least SEE how long you had to getting another card :)

another bug. i evaded i was gone and i still got attacked.it wasnt any special attack either it was double slash by vannessa Voss

I'm going to second claymore's request - trading cards would add a HUGE dynamic to the game, and would make it more worth your time to get new cards, even if you already have them. Please implement this!

I have really tried to like this game but it sucks, It is so stupid that there is no blocking and that movement costs points.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
claymore, those were very narrow minded suggestions, if there was a card shop then the problem of everyone having the same decks would get even worse. Also, there aren't supposed to be any "better cards" because it would give high level people an even bigger advantage.

Claymore, trade can´t be enabled anyhow due to everyone exploiting it somehow eventually, And with Card shop everyone would pick the best and i think we already got enough CC:s in game, don´t you?
The current system (2 per week from challenges and small possibility to win from games) favors those who have been playing in Kongregate for longer, and i don´t mind that at all, i got 40/46 cards and only 4 doubles.

Double items are great :)
Double chars are useless which was the main reason why the swapping would be good :D then you could swap them with someone who hasn't got it - altho you might be hard pressed to find someone who didn't complete the challenge...
The more cards is fantastic news :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, as for the more cards request, I think they already announced officially that they are working on a new deck coming up soon...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah I know, I have zina the beastmaster double. Double chars are pretty useless since you can't combine them. Double items can be combined though. I have a 5card deck with two rings of curses and two coltraps.

A few suggestions/requests:
The option to trade cards - i now have 2 the same and nothing i can do cos it won't let u have duplicated characters. Plus it adds another dimension to the game and gives u a chance to complete decks etc.
The option after playing for a while to swap your starter cards (just once) so that people who chose badly when they didn't really understand the game could re-pick now they have some xp with it.
A different system of card gaining: i would suggest that instead of a tiny chance of getting a card after every win u should receive points for every win and draw. the points could then be exchanged in a 'card shop' for different cards - the better ones would be more expensive and not available until you got to a certain level or something
More cards :D at the moment it can get a little repetitive as everyone seems to use very similar decks...
It's a fantastic game tho :D Definitely the best game on kongregate Hopefully it cn be made even better :)
Thnx

pretty solid game, response to wintzthrope, this is the "comments" area, as in , you comment on how you feel about the game, retard !

You guys need a better internet connection. It loads in less than 15 seconds on my pc at home, and less than 20 seconds at work

If you are just starting out, play with random cards a bunch until you decide which cards you want to pick. You are stuck with them for a long time.

can kongregate give any attempt of fixing this bug, i used to be able to play this game. but now i can't. you may as well call this game "the black square".

From a statistical perspective, I don't see what intercept offers that crit does not. The only difference is that the swap/rest/weak attack (generally) is in the hands of a player, which, if you get right down to it, is an emotional issue, and crit is a strategic one.

I think you should be able to earn cards by playing the bots. And for new cards...maybe allow site members to submit cards, and have a li'l sweepstakes, pick the best suggestions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@beegum you are indeed in control of intercept, there are a lot of factors that go into my head when i'm determining whether or not to intercept i.e.- how much energy will i have left if i use my move and don't intercept, the opponents record to see if he tends to win more of his games and therefore has a better understanding of the game and is inclined to think i would intercept... the point i'm trying to make is that intercepting was put in this game because the idea was rock paper sissors mind-reading. crits and misses ruin the game concept because your strategy of "well hey i kill him in 2 turns and he doesnt have the damage to kill me in one" strategy can be ruined by luck which i hate... it takes the strategy out of a strategy game

finally, i'd like to adress that im always playing noobs, im not saying everyone i play isnt a noob but the majority are .500 are higher and ive beaten the likes of players much more skilled and experienced than me, such as rambobatman(grats on #1 all time for win btw) and several 400+ winners and @ the necronomicon comments, its not really fair to compare a game where you play actual thinking players to a game where you play an AI- its a good game but not really in the same class

at the comment that vanessa's DS is overpowered... the only thing OP about that is the chance to crit and one shot marquis le morte... the whole point is to use vanessa to kill the likes of constantine and such... just think of what shed be like if it was slower and more costly... she'd be horrible exept 5 cards
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yes northern, thats the exact situation i was thinking of, either that, or if its my last character... and im not quitting because of all combination of lucky things in this game. also, the games i lose rarely boil down to one move if ever at all, if i lose i lose big... example: 5 days ago i played a guy with phylactery on cain. he had 1 hp left for 4 turns in a row because of 3 phylactery procs which took me down from vanessa at near full health and pheobe at full down to pheobe with half... because of those ridiculous procs... and what do you know his last card once i finally killd him with pheobe his last card was CC and he killed me with a pilebunker.

Cards with "sub chances" should really say what those are. What is the chance Popo will heal himself with "Herbal Preparations?" for example. Also, letting you put in a criteria search for game-matching would be nice... so people just don't drop...
