Lol... a hesitater with a stats worse then 1:5 ^^ Isn't doing anything, but keeps connected... reporting him atm...
NAme is mainframe2 btw... do just kick him from games before you begin the fight

Luck is luck, RNG is RNG and procs are procs...
Imo the game is completely right. Of course badluck aka bad-rng can kill your deck, but sameway it can happen to opponent etc...
And since i only believe 20% of the numbers other people are typing in comments while being on-rage about loosing (caused by themselves) and giving the fault to the rng... It's fine imo :D
(At least i can't explain a 4,1 : 1 Win ratio on other ways...)

fyi: computers are incapable of randomly generating numbers. RNG is a misnomer. what it truly is, is a program which spits out numbers in a pattern as programmed by the programmer. however, the pattern is generally so large, that it is as good as if the numbers were being generated randomly. as such, there are multiple such programs in existence. though i dont know if only one is used for flash. but i doubt it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm reasonably sure there's only one program for a RNG out there. I mean, if you had two or more definitions of "random" (i.e. different programs), then it wouldn't be truly random. It would be "Random as according to this program". I could be completely wrong, but it would make total sense to me if there were only one RNG out there.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How the hell can a random number generator be wrong as all flashes use the same one? Do not give technical advice when you have no idea what you're talking about. Thanks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok, the random numbers are fine, they just don't feel fine when you lose because of them, you should stop nagging about all the stuff that is 'wrong' with this game and just enjoy it!

Yay!, finally got the hard badge and against someone with 1000+ games played.
Fun game, i like it, i guess i will try to reach level 30 now.

SirDorius: Yea, as I said, the RNG is fine. I've done numerous tests on a variety of aspects of Kongai, and the RNG consistently performs as expected. For example, testing how dodge works (we found out that it's subtractive, not multiplicative) by using Slingshot against another PopoFeather resulted in a 51% dodge rate, a 37% miss rate, and a 12% crit rate over 268 trials (expected 50/40/10) - well within the bounds of expected deviance.

siah_jer: Critical Hits do not work that way. Read #4 -> http://kongregate.wikia.com/wiki/Kongai_FAQ || The odds of critting 3 times in a row is indeed 12.5% - not at all that amazing or noteworthy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
siah_jer, you can't decide if it's good or not based on 3 hits. You'd need at least 100. Besides, I don't know where you got the 50% crit, I see 100% in it's description in the card album.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@siah_jer: Special effect: Has a high chance to critical hit for 3 times regular damage. Note that the odds are 40% for a miss, 10% for 20dmg, 50% for 60dmg.
http://kongregate.wikia.com/wiki/Slingshot
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The actual probability of hitting with Popo using Slingshot is 30%: 60% hit x 50% crit = 30% crit.
The random number generator IS seriously screwed!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sm1 pls explain to me then how Popo with Deadly Poison can hit 3 out of 3 times with Slingshot at 60% hit prob and 50% crit prob
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just kicked the computer in the nuts a few times with Ambrosia's spiked boots and the 30% stunning effect kicked in 38/105 times. That's 36,2%. It seems the random number are pretty good. I'll do this one more time tomorrow and give up if the results are good.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And in that game i played perfectly and my opponent played badly (including about 6 failed intercepts and 0 successful ones) and still won. Like it or not, luck is frequently the deciding factor in this game:(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well Sirdorius teleport's supposed to have 95% accuracy and it missed 3 times out of about 5 in my latest loss. And i think generally moves are missing more than their supposed to. Your research will be much appreciated:)

The RNG is fine - and I say that when I've been on the bad end of a 1 in 5500 bead before. Humans are just bad at perceiving what random actually looks like, and are also more likely to remember strings of oddities than the dozens of games that were normal.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just played my first match with someone who has been playing for a while obviously, I defeated two of his characters without the help of support cards as I do not own any, guessed two of the three intercepts correctly and all in all I think I made a pretty good stand for a newbie. The game it's self looks to be promising, really fun and could get rather addictive. 5 star and added to favorites for now, Love to see how it turns out.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I see I stirred up a discussion on the random numbers in this game. I'll start writing down hits and misses for different percentages from today and post the results later on.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've only just started playing this game recently, but I've found there is a large degree of skill involved, and the 'luck' that everyone seems to be talking about is no more prevalent than in many other games of this nature.
Regardless, it is quite fun.

actually no wait sorry I'm getting good at this game now! lol this game actualyl rocks! not because of the chicks wel lactually to me but it actually has more strategy into this go samurai and ninjas!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i really suck at this game but its kinda fun the main thing i like is the chicks who is a freaking hot!!!!!! anime chicks mmm.... lol

Kongai 1.12, 12/08/2008
This release attempts to make Kongai a bit more accessible to new players and emphasize ranked matches, where you’ll soon be able to earn achievements.
Playing ranked matches is now the best way to earn cards, as the card drop rate for unranked matches has been lowered if you already have more than 10 cards. The drop rate of ranked matches will remain unchanged.
This release also includes numerous bug fixes, including the infamous host/non-host bug on Cain & Anex. Let us know what you think and if you find any bugs. Thanks!
fail!

Opinion of someone who is neutral in the luck argument:=: This game is luck in that you can miss. It sucks to miss that power toss, or tackle, or power lash, but it happens. There is a rule of probability that makes 50% and 51% two totally different and obvious to detect percentages. Over the course of many many (100's) of uses, the abilities will, theoretically, have a difference in the number of hits. So as much as luck does play in this game, so does risk. That being said, I think this game is bullshit in its random number calculator.
