a change the timer system would be nice. you get 10-15 seconds per turn. when you go over that limit you begin to draw time from a 60 second 'well'. the 10-15 seconds are renewed every turn but the 60 second 'well' is not replenished.

ok, I understand the point you guys are trying to make, once you remove the luck the game becomes all about skill. I'm saying if you remove luck then you have to change the game entirely. All percentages have to either be 100% or zero 0%. First, popo is gone. Every one of his/her moves has a coin flip attached. Second, many of the items are gone. Third, every character not killed entirely by the changes has to go through extensive revamping. For example, Vanessa Voss' double slash doesn't miss any more. Now you have nothing to say to people who call it and her overpowered because you can't say "well it misses 10% of the time." All the stun and interrupt moves need to have their chances increased to 100%, which makes them ridiculously good, or decreased to 0, which makes them boring. Now maybe you guys want to play this new game you've created, but I like things as they are now. Sure, I get killed by three consecutive slingshot crits in a row but, thats worth it to me.

RamboBatman: Your comment is amusing, but in no way does it address my arguments.
I'd say that the fun does not come from the luck at all, but rather by beating your opponent by out thinking them/building a better deck.

PwnageLlama: The luck in Kongai is like your balls. Sure, you can get hit in the balls and that sucks real bad, no doubt balls are sometimes a hindrance. However, that doesn't mean balls should be removed. Our balls are what make our lives worth living, even if they hurt sometimes, things would be super boring without them. Please don't ask to neuter Kongai.

MankOriginal: I disagree. Since card-getting is random, players shouldn't get an inherent advantage from a certain card.

RamboBatman: I disagree. While I enjoy playing Kongai greatly, I don't think so much luck belongs. Very boring? Heck no! You still have to out think your opponent. You still have to build successful decks.
How do you think one of the players started to win? Maybe they made a good combo, or they had a successful intercept. The other player can do exactly the same. When one player takes a pawn in chess, is the game over? Heck no!
Luck has too much of an effect on Kongai.
I'd like to hear back from anyone who thinks otherwise, as it would make for an interesting arguement.

well i think that some cards like corn and others SHOULD be more powerful because it makes people want to get those cards.

Well, the game does need some balancing in places. I'm thinking of Onimaru, for instance. If Ancestral Spirit cost 20 energy instead of 10, people would stop just buffing him for free and running away, since they can most likely get back to melee range when someone switches to a ranged dude, where he then uses an 8-speed attack. Can surely be beaten, but it's a pain. And I guess the whip chick is way too powerful.

MobileAlabama: I disagree. While I also get frustrated when I lose games to streaks of bad luck, I think these luck based elements need to stay in the game. I think if every move were a sure thing (Yoshiro's Rising Dragon comes to mind) then the game would be get very boring. There would would be no risk taking and the person that started to win would inevitably beat their opponent. There would be no ablility for players to get back into the game after a bad start. The way the game is now, yes, you can get one hit killed. But, you can also come back from such a setback and win the game if you allow yourself the chance to get lucky.

mobile is right. this is not a game of strategy and mind reading. but instead of luck and what cards you have. i keep saying about the 1 hit kills but crits/misses (and other random events) are also a problem.

OH MY GOd... seriously take criots and misses out make this a game of strategy and not luck... i just lost having a record of 69 - 12 to a guy with a record of 3 - 12 because i missed 2 90% attacks and he crit 3 times including one shotting my starter

Yah, i think annex is a bit over powered, but not much. Probably just a 5 energy increase on how much power toss costs should solve it. She might also need her enchant blade toned to to be closer to Helene's, but not enough players use enchant blade for me to be sure.

oh by the way does anyone else want something that doesnt show your level to other players cause alot of ppl dont fight me it takes sa while to find 1.

well since they are talking about tafari he is decent or pretty good if they know how to use him.
I mean that ability preventing u from switching out is a possible pain and as yellow dead said could wreck your strategy.

The crappy player: Tafari is too powerful!
The intermediate player: Tafari sucks!
The expert player: Tafari is pretty decent!
