When I'm starting a singleplayer game, I can only choose 3 or 5 card decks, according to my last played online gamemode. And I would like some better sound effects/music. The game system works well and I didn't get any errors. An ingame tutorial with cutscenes and stuff would be great for the newbie/young gamers.

I have a few suggestions so far:
1. Spectator mode to watch other people's games.
2. Better, more in depth, descriptions for some of the innate character abilities and moves. For example, some characters have "a chance" to do something, like poison another character, but the card itself doesn't let the player know how much of a chance until that character is actually used in a deck.
3. Selectable AI skill (Easy, Medium, Hard, Impossible).
4. 3-Card single player games.
5. Separate win/loss stats for single player games.
6. "Total games played" multiplayer and single player stats.

@Blaze, the learning curve seems to be medium, not too easy to pick up but not too complicated either. The fact that there is an encyclopedia avaialble is pretty helpful. Plus in the chat most people don't seem to mind helping.

seems like the AI for single player is kind of broken; they never changed distance even with the Andromeda or some of the other long range fighters.

Ack. Got intercepts and interrupts mixed up. Still, the comment is /mostly/ valid--you've got an anti-"interrupt" ability that counters "cancels".
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can we get a rewrite on the text describing Ashi's special power? Something like "Ashi's attacks cannot be cancelled by opponents"? A Kongai "Interrupt" is already defined as something very, very different than preventing an attack.

This game is really good so far but the game itself is confusing. Try to get a program in that eases the player into the game instead of dropping him/her into the game from the start.

Vanilla, what's even sillier is when you log a bug in the comment section when it says right in the game description (see underneath game) what to do when you encounter a bug. Comments (such as reviews, suggestions) are perfect for the comment section.

The first time I played it was very difficult to determine where I should click and what I was supposed to do. I thought about going back to the tutorial but didn't feel like it. After I knew what to do it was a lot easier, but there seems to be a little bit of information overload & clutter while at the same time not enough information. The eye is not always completely drawn to the important part of the UI when it needs to be. This may deter some new players and may cause them to give up due to an initially steep learning curve.

Okay, here's my review (and yes, I'm more or less back):
Overall, the game needs a lot of work. Revamped animations would do better. A less clutter area would also be good. That's all I have to complain about. Other than that, the game plays well and multiplayer is a great feature. Currently, 3.5/5. Work on it some more, give the people what they've been waiting 1.5 years for.

Gem of Souls only copies the descriptions of the innate abilities, which is a problem when the gender of the one who gained the ability differs from the one he defeated.
Cornelius Constantine with Gem of Souls defeats Rumiko - has innate ability "...when she switches out."

Me and my opponent's characters died at the same time, and it was his last character and my second last. My last replaced my old dead one but his character stayed and lost her graphic and somehow gained health.

Here's a small problem that I had just as I started a multiplayer match; Firefox stalled for a second when the match was loading, and when it finished there was no match chat and the other player seemed to stop responding. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Re: i19000 First, a critical attack does only 50% extra damage. Second, there's a number of attacks that, when buffed up properly, can one-hit kill to certain opponents without needing a critical hit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hate how you can be beating somebody very badly, then out of nowhere they get a critical hit and your best guy dies at full health.

really good, like it a lot. it's really all about reading the oponnent's mind. but it runs slowly in older computers (using all the poor cpu I have - xp1800+ 512MBram ff2

the game is great.. we've waited a long time but it worth it... i haven't noticed any bugs but i'm sure they are still there xD so keep up the good work...

The best, most super-awesome thing you can do if you have a bug to report is to click the little green bug icon up at the top of the chat box and explain what the defect is (and linking to screenshots is good). If you have a suggestion, sending to feedback@kongregate.com is good. I would highly recommend it over posting it in the comments section.

can't right click to copy or paste in match chat. not a big deal, since you can still use the keyboard commands...i guess the format of the window is just different from
the rest of the chat

this game has loads of potential. i look forward to tournaments and things of the sort. There should be a way to check your stats though including people you beat/lost to, times of matches, etc. overall its good though!

There needs to be a message in the match chat "Mario has left the chat". Right now there's no way to tell whether they left the chat. You could be talking to no one when you're trying to discuss some things after the battle. I'm never too sure if some people get my "GG"s or not.

Being able to see the enemy wins/loss when he enters your room would be nice. I wanna know if a battle is gonna be though or I'm fighting a 0 wins / 15 losses person.
Also very important is the fact when I make a deck of 3 guys and items and I call it "AAA" and I edit it and change 1 guy and then call it "BBB".
It makes a new deck called "BBB" and "AAA" is still there.
Please make it so that it writes over the old deck.
You could add a button to say "save as" so it creates a new deck besides the one your in, might be usefull if you in a 5 deck but most people will surely like the first option better.

Kongai, surprisingly enough, is even better than I thought it would be! I really enjoy how simplistic this game is, yet how much strategy and thought needs to be put in to win a game.

This isn't really a comment on the game itself but is there somewhere that the powers that be at Kongregate will be answering and responding to the Kongaii comments posted here?

Once I've added a character card to my deck, it would be nice if I could flip the card over to see the information on the back, which is helpful in deciding which items to use on my characters.

Is there a description of how the rankings work? If not, I think there should be. Are the rankings the stars you see next to someones name when they are playing a match?
Once I pick my 3 starter cards, is there a way to change them? I think there should be because new players probably won't have a very good feeling for which cards they would want until they've played at least a few games.
I agree that you should be able to pick a 3 or 5 card single player match too.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The single player feature could need some improvement!
For example a ladder to complete with lots of BOT-enemies to defeat! And then when you defeat the final boss you should win a card and get a better rating. Then next time you play single player you have to defeat a whole new ladder of enemies!
And in multiplayer there should be some tournaments! The winner should get let's say 3 cards and 500 points in rating or something like that!

First, thanks for the inviting.
I played some games and in multi, my deck's card die randomly, even with full health and it's pretty frustrating. :(

Really well done - and definitely hard to master. For some reason the in-battle item description sometimes got stuck for me o_O
