If discussing a "sweet" deck, one should also be discussing the deck(s) the "sweet" deck is sweet against! I mostly agree on the "sweetness" factor of the decks/cards described by apples and Swoon43, but that is because the work well with my playing style. Ubuntu in ANY deck will be sweet against MANY other cards, Corny, Monte, Helene and Tafari in particular IF the Ubuntu owner plays decently. This game is pretty well balanced, although newbie mistakes can make it seem very unbalanced, including newbie mistakes in choosing starter cards. Newbies complain about being matched with skilled opponents in unranked matches, but those are an opportunity to observe and learn like no other - once they've gotten to the point where they no longer need the tool tips.

I have a suggestion, how about making the characters move when they're in battle. It would be kick ass if they are more animated. Oh and, add more players.

If the game is luck based why do some players have above average win rates and some players dont. Sounds like you are confusing bad decision making with luck.

What a piece of trash. Games that rely on luck to win deserve a 1. It's like playing slots, its designed for you to lose. Garbage.

Unluckiest game ever, 2 misses, tomes'ed, a stun, a dodged ambush (by yoshiro,), and no popo dodge in my first 7 moves!

Nono, best deck is Popo (elusive feather), Yoshiro (General's Insignia) and Phoebe (valkyrie's Charm); Start with yoshiro using dragon attak. Then based on plays use Popo's poison effects and emmediately switch him out

Just because you don't have the forethought to avoid an interception or attack doesn't mean the game sucks. It's frustrating sometimes, but it's a very good strategy game.

could be a nice game. on the bad is hit calculation and the few tactical choices. becomes more stone paper scissors and guess work than strategy after a while...
could be a nice game ;)

it gets a lot better after you and your opponent is more experienced. you just know the right moves to make and the perfect move to counter it, so its all about mind games and seeing patterns and risking it all on a crazy move that no one expects, only to be countered by an even crazier move. awesome.

@weiss0001, but in this game, someone 5x your level is not necessarily going to beat you. The game is relatively even across skill levels, once you get a little experience.
