anex needs 2 fixes: first and foremost - slash needs its speed debuff reduced to 1. 1 is plenty, and as it stacks it would still be HIGHLY effective. second: boomerang (and all attacks that hit a fleeing opponent) should be on a lower proc than 100% - i'd argue for a 50%. that would make her more fun to play with and against.

@ morganfreeman: for someone who has played close to 600 games and is at sr30, id think youd be a little better mannered than to close the window, instead of forfeiting the 'right' way, after being spanked.
but congrats on being the guy who got me to sr30.
/ragequit ftw.

RamboBatman - You're missing a drastically important part in the mirror - non-ValkAnex won't even have a chance to use PT at all if ValkAnex procs her PT, which is usually the case (88%). Also, you are drastically underestimating the power of a speed 7, 100%/100% hits fleeing move that can be at 37 damage in powerzone. Anex's innate is significantly better than Cain's even though they're identical, and Valk is the primary reason. Admittedly, part of the reason non-ValkAnex is bad is because there are so many ValkAnexes out there to begin with, but in general Valk is VERY powerful. CandleAnex has decent odds against her in mirror, though is probably still worse overall; haven't seen enough Candle users to really say for sure there. Side note - play ranked more, it's a lot different than unranked. See if you still think ValkAnex sucks when you get in the SR30 range. It's not broken or even required for a good deck, but it's clearly a bit overpowered.

Haffacracka - Actually Taf vs Oni is pretty close, and I'd usually give the advantage to Oni, though he does have more variance there. You simply have to realize that it's okay to eat an Ambush or Leafy Trap and you're already doing well. |||| Ice_Burner - You are simply wrong, CC has the definite advantage against Oni. There's enough of a guessing game that sometimes Oni can pull off a sneaky DS, but in general Oni cries and wants to get out of there if possible.

RamboBatman - Average energy cost of moves is pretty irrelevant; you're counting Axe Handle and Enchant Blade in there :P Mostly what one should be looking at is Bleeding Slice and Frenzied Strikes, the primary means of dealing damage, and Ashi definitely has the advantage there. 30 energy is a *lot* less than 40, especially for a monoranger; Helene can be range-danced out of FS much easier than Ashi's BS. While I agree Axe Handle is clearly one of the worst moves in the game, Helene is full of crappy moves, and she lacks something solid like Bleeding Slice to make up for it. For comparison, FS averages a pathetic 22.5 damage unenchanted and only jumps to 36.9 damage enchanted, while BS averages 40.2 damage total -- for less energy and less variance! Obviously there's a lot more to it than that, but the comparison is still noteworthy. (Slash averages 25.0). Personally I prefer Oni for my tanking needs anyway, but any decent player will choose Ashi over Helene and for good reason.

You automatically get the win if they leave.
(and they also get a loss so it doesn't matter if you try to run.)
So you should get the badge, whichever one it is.

Lol I agree. I wiped out two of the people with just the daywalker and so he just left. It was funny though, I owned him. =D

this sucks, every time I get a good intercept my opponent chicken out and disconnects and now I still dont have my friggin badge

Actually, the biggest attributes for Anex involve here slow down + her bonus damage when low on HP. If you calculate wrong while doing something to her, and she gets a big hit back, chances are you will get messed up.

Rambo; i would much rather have onimaru than constantine. onimaru can destroy him very, his defense renders constantines pilebunker much insignificant unless a soul crush occurs. in regards to anex, i prefer to use the sharpening stone because if u enchanted attacks, the boomerang can do high damage with a critical hit, nvrmnd the powertoss. with helene and ashi, i believe ashi is better. against helene i use the bleeding slice, which deals more damage per energy than the slice. use that move twice in a row and shes gone, granted shes bleeding.

Cornelius Constantine deals with Onimaru on every front, he can beat him at far obviously, he can't be cursed, he can blood burn sword flurry into uselessness, and can hypnotic stare double slash.

Players tend to overvalue valk charm on Anex. Anex is excellent but, I don't think the charm is her best item. Charmed, Anex's long-bomb is slower than all others except Cain's, Ubuntu's and Higashi's, which is now the same speed. This is actually worse than when Anex could take the blast and then deliver a one-hit kill with the toss. Close, CS already makes Anex faster than almost everything, rendering charm useless. I used to think that charm was a help in the mirror but, if you get close then the above still applies. Also, the valked Anex has to be careful to avoid pushing the slow Anex into extra damage. The real benefit to the charm is increasing the speed of boomerang chakra, allowing Anex to use it as a finisher before getting tagged with a voidstream or teleport. While there are a few benefits to the charm, I'd rather play sharpening stone or generals insignia, the increase in damage being useful in general, compared to the few specific uses of the charm.

Twinge: Consider Ashi vs. Helene, Helene comes with more HP, and higher physical resistance, at the cost of one less dark resistance. The average cost of Helene's moves is 30 while the average cost of Ashi's is 35. Helene has a dark attack, ashi does not. The average speed of their moves are the same yet all of Helene's abilities have a potential use, compared to Ashi whose Axe Handle is one of the worst attacks in the game. You say that FS has a poor damage to energy ratio yet it is almost identical to signature slice in that respect and with enchant blade it is significantly better. These are several reasons why Helene could be considered superior to Ashi and I don't even consider Ashi the worst character in the game; I'd probably save that distinction for MLM.

im sorry but this game has alot of balancing issues i wish i could have picked vampires at the begging cause they are best cards right now make new cards please
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Imo: There aren't ANY overpowered cards. Out of FF i could call (at least) one great tactic WITH and AGAINST each card.
The only overpowered thing is the luck... affects way to strong for a real tactic game.

RamboBatman & Andrehydra - Helene is *not* good. Yes, she IS good against VV and Yoshi, but even then it's a dance because she has no energy game and such a high miss rate. She's also worse vs those 2 after she enchants. Overall she is strictly the worse character in the game, there really isn't room for debate; it's not the same as the awfulness of others like Andro, Phoebe, etc. where they have some redeeming features. |||| SB is not very useful - only any good against idiots that don't know how to range dance or other tanks. FS does abysmal damage for energy cost on a mono-ranger. Enchant is poor since it only lasts 2 turns which is easy to range dance or switch out of. SS is useful, though it still has a high miss rate and an unreliable proc. |||| sylvr2 - I only know one top player running Helene, and he's not really top - he was SR29 last I saw :P Random All is probably better than running Helene on purpose...

bug?

supergiantsfan - You get a lot fewer disconnecting opponents if you make it to a decent skill rank. |||| adverto - You claim it's not balanced and then you complain about Higashi, an average character and Amaya, a worse-than-average character? Nicely done :P Kongai has some balance issues, but is not bad overall. |||| Doc_Kelso - Yoshi really isn't that bad. Hell, he's even weak against the worst character in the game ;) In general he can be nasty especially if he pulls off Yoshihax, but he's also fairly fragile; he can be taken down easily enough by several people. He's strong and top-tier, no arguments there -- I just wouldn't call him overpowered. He's nothing like ValkAnex, JujuFeather, or even CC. |||| ddent123 - Oni actually has a decent matchup against Taf, and I might even rate it in Oni's favor (especially if it's a cage match).

overpowered is juju, ubutu, popo(2 poison can kill one character) if you dont know by now and you probably intercept popo,
annex with valkyri charm can beat annex anytime
use tafair to fight samari is win win, samari has not escaped.

lol at helene being the 2nd best. dont try to trick newbies into wasting a starter pick on helene. her attacks cost too much energy, are too inconsistent, too slow, too weak. its great that the game is so well balanced that helene is still considered playable while being one of the worst cards. there are 240 possible character/item combinations and helenes most easily make up the bottom third. just how many sr30+ do you see playing helene?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't get it.People hate Helene? She is actually the second best card there is.Her frenzied strikes are really powerful, it has 7 speed and can deal damage up to 54 with only 40 energy. Her shield bash is really useful, as also her sword slash. With her enchant blade, I can beat every vampire.VV is an exception, but she has no dark resistance, so its easy to kill her. Also, she cannot be stunned, good against Ambrosia Thorn. She has high resistance, and with the Breastplate, she can make most multi-hit attacks useless.
Helene is awesome, and REALLY hot.Really.:p
:D

Helene is actually pretty good, like most characters that people hate on she just requires a little finesse. She has a good game vs the 4 most popular characters (cc, anex, vv, yoshiro) shes tough, has a consistent interrupt, and can hit hard in physical, light, and dark. Her attacks can be a little expensive but enchant blade is free and sword slash can actually replenish energy. Her main flaw is that her two main attacks are only 90% accurate. I'd like to see sword slash upped to 95% but other than that Helene is a well balanced character.

To any newer player: The game is quite a challenge to pick up, but almost all of the cards are viable, so you can win with almost anything Helene. The most important thing is to learn when to SWITCH and INTERCEPT. Those are the two things you need to know about, if you want to win in Kongai.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why not buy the cards, instead of waiting for the challenges? They are really cheap. And you only need few good ones to get into the flow of beating people.

1/5 Not remotely balanced, artwork is original, but you see a lot of people with Higashi, the Master and Amaya, the Exiled Student.
