MathematicalPi. Yup, I getcha. Getting in close is a way of killing phoebes with anex. Not to contradict you but coming in close depnds on what's left in the deck. Otherwise, you're trading the 70% for a 50/50 switchout. Leaving us with anex in short with low energy. RamboBatman makes a good point with Phoebe/sharpstone. But I aint going near conditional probability! Twinge? Where are you man? I'd come close in those circumstances. If your forcing your oppo to switch, you've got the edge. Again, Anex is ahead.

Wth, I hate the random chance of getting a card wen you win, I have never won a card in-game even though I had won 47 matches, 91% of those matches were ranked.

Math: You're absolutely right, what makes characters like Anex and CC so amazing is that they have viable moves even at the range where they should be least comfortable. Phoebe is probably better at ranged damage than Anex (vs. all characters, not just each other) but is forced to use weak stalling moves at close range where Anex can still brawl fairly effectively. Also, it doesn't help that Phoebe's rapid lashes do great damage at high speed against a lot of characters, Anex just doesn't happen to be one of them.

Rambobatman. Anex should always get close vs phoebe, critstoned or not, so her chances of winning are almost 100%, as opposed to a measly 70%. Phoebe really can't do much at close, and if she gets far, she needs to wait a turn to PL, where Anex can get close again/PT.

Twinge: my point was not that the metagame requires that you play the top 5 characters it was that it gets boring playing against them. As for phoebe vs anex, I'm pretty sure that you'd agree phoebe's best item is sharpening stone and given that, her chances of winning the power lash/power toss gambit are about 50/50. Also, anex might never have been bad but the difference between 90% and 100% on BS is huge. I think all chase attacks should follow spectral choke's example, 95% to hit and 95% to proc is fairly reliable but, it doesn't put players in situations where they're going to die to rising dragon and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it.

Quickening is pretty good. If you lead with a gimmick attack like touch of doom, having a chance to avoid the other person's attack rocks.

Only with QP does Rising dragon get interrupted, or does Touch of Doom beat out Hypnostare do on unsuspecting opponents, but it still doesn't hide the fact that Quickening Powder is a terrible card.

WamboOSX - Quickening Powder is the worst card in the game and should never be used unless there is no other reasonable alternative available. A speed boost isn't very useful when you don't know if you'll have a boost until after you use the attack!

The Card may not be the best(actually it is one of the worst^^) but the game u have to play to get is really good it is fun and does not take 2 Long and i think thats what Kongregate wanted making u play a funny game...

Some people had played it before the card and its not that bad. Beside there are the 50 points through achievments and its really easy to get them all 30min is more than enough. I made it in 10.

goodby1 - Starters are functionally the same as other cards. |||| chocolaterules - Helene doesn't need to gain Popohax, there are better ways to fix her. |||| karthik_king - Not much has changed AFAIK, except maybe the meta being more ValkAnex heavy and everyone realizing Helene sucks :P |||| wringsteak - Hyp Stare will 'miss' based on the attack it is copying; e.g. if you reflect a Pilebunker, there's a 10% chance it'll miss. |||| wringsteak - Might as well earn QP, theoretically it might get fixed some day ;O But it is funny that they followed up Helene with one of the very very few cards that are even worse than her! |||| Spudder19 - Almost every game I've played has been at least 10 minutes. The timer settings are about right, but I wouldn't be wholly opposed to an auto-forfeit if someone times out on several range changes AND move selections in a row.
