Phylactery's activation is based on how much damage an opponet does to your character when killing your character, not on chance.

generals insignia just works for single atack,
not for atacks with * and atacks whitch atack all enemys, so no ;)
and phylactery sucks, but with 50% would be to mutch, for example mm or cain with 50% phythac...

ok people, what you have to take into acount with phylactery is that MNM, CC, and ambrosia will most likely get hit again before they can get a decent attack off, so it just stall for a turn, Vanessa Vox and Cain however, have a good chance to finish you off. after a successful phylactery

i would like to see phylactery become 50% chance to activate, but can only work twice a match. just like everyone said, the way it is now its 70% complete garbage and well less than 10% decent.

It's basically same as getting stunned with Yoshiro and then getting 2 rising dragons (which kills off mouse of the characters).
Phylactery is a horrible luck item - good players won't ever use it

Dear Newbies who just started: You should welcome the priveledge of playing against a level 16, rather than another newbie, atleast in unranked. Are you likely to learn anything from someone else who also knows little about the game? Watch and learn from those who are more experienced before playing ranked matches, and your own rank will rise fast when you put what you've learned into practice in ranked matches. Be polite and ask for tips after the game, too.

ideally, id leave it at probably 30% (which is still a high percentage - think of the dodge abilities, and the crit item, double slashs "high crit" etc etc), but have it work once per battle - given that its a vamp item, it is made more effective due to the innate abilities of most of the vamps - life drain - which is something you HAVE to take into account. this would still make it better than the death mask, and still a very useful item, when it procs, and something you can base a desperate tactic around, which fits, given that its a sort of desperate item - you have to lose for it to win. its a good item, but not something experienced players will use in 'high end' play because it is ineffective 70% of the time - it gives someone outmatched a bit of a chance to have that often-decisive extra attack they would otherwise not have had. forget the percentages and think about the effect - it is the percentages that pronounce the effect out of proportion.

@ JonasPetson - dude, if you leave matches (by closing the window and not forfieting, but anyway...), in matches you think youre outmatched in before ANYTHING has happened, you'll never learn how to get better at the game - at least play it out a little and try out some new strategies before quitting...

Well these are the glitches I found with the deck builder (some of the others have probably found them as well), the glitch seems to affect the general item cards only which can be equipped on any character card I think. This comes up in the gallery screen, here is the list and a screenshot. So it sounds like you'd want it to ideally be 25% chance to revive once per game. Congrats, you've made it even worse than Flash Powder and Quickening Powder! ||||
Let me try this one last time. 70% of the time, Phy is like having NO ITEM AT ALL. 21% of the time, it's like having a normal item (Death Mask, but slightly better). 9% - That's less than 1 out of every 10 games - it's better than a normal item. It's simply not very good most of the time, and rarely it's great. Kongai has luck in it, and there is nothing wrong with the item.

If it becomes once per battle, no one would use it. 30% is fine, and being lucky plays a small part in winning. Chain Phylacs happen rarely.
Also, there's a very easy way to combat phyactery. Passive damage. Poisun, Burn, Bleed. Taf, Popo, Zina, Ambro, Yoshi, Hig, Amaya.

i think all of the amazons are good. helene is still useful - she has some definite weaknesses, but can be very effective - her shield bash could probably do with a bit more speed to bring its cost in line with its effect - i mean xena gets an attack that for 10 more, does triple the damage (at least) and has the same net effect as shield bash, as een on teh last character (which cant switch out) the 'throw out' effect still happens, cancelling opponents attack, if PT hits first.

twinge, with regards to the phylactery, yorue talking about the wrong side of the agrument. the percentage is fine - 30% is probably a little high (but not by much), but still not reliable (as it should be - unreliable) - however it needs to change to one use per battle - chain procs on it (which occur enough to be an issue) completely break a game - a player wins because their card is essentially immortal, whereas a one-off life offers a last-gasp opportunity (especially given most vamps have life-draining ability, meaning that extra life, if it coems off can be added to, thus being able to withstand another attack etc).
being able to work more than once is a silly effect that should be nerfed. i have had the benefit of having it chain proc FOR me, and its just as undesirable.

daruler: No, more cards does not equate with more balance. Everything added needs to be carefully balanced with everything else, or it could easily be over or underpowered. ||||
As for the Amazons, Anex is probably the best card in the game at present (with Valk Charm); Phoebe is actually subpar. Helene is, admittedly, awful. Ambrosia is fine; CC and VV are a little strong but not excessively. Yoshiro and Ubuntu round out the top 5 in usage, so really no group of cards is seeing less use overall.

great game, but i yhink the Amazons are underpowered and the vamps are a little overpowered. more cards=more balance= more fun. the best Amazon, phoebe, or the axe battler (forgot her name) isnt much better than the worst vamp, Ambrosia.

Wth if u kill your opponents char and they are supposed to bring in another char the time bar comes up and if the opponent does not bring in the character the game gets stuck. I was just winning against Jattington and this happened so no i have to take a loss. Fix this dam glitch

You can win cards by winning games as well; challenges aren't the only way. ||||
Shadow Wrath is supposed to hit fleeing; the text needs to be updated. Amaya is weaker in other areas compared to VV ro Zina, so SW is stronger than the other deck-hitters. ||||
Phylactery is not overpowered; it's right where it should be. 70% of the time it's a completely useless item. 21% of the time it's an average item. 9% of the time it's an excellent item. ||||
The game never takes 'hours to play'. The closest you'll get to that is Juju-vs-Juju with all other characters dead. Some games last 20+ minutes, but I'd be very surprised to see more than 1% go past 30. Many are only 10.

The ranking system goes + or - 15 ranks from where you're at for matchups. With the modest number of people playing at any given time, this is about right; if it only matched very close, you'd have to wait forever for a game. Also, higher level people hate playing you as much as you hate playing them - we risk losing a LOT more rank points than you do (e.g. SR30 vs SR15, if SR30 wins they get 50, but if they lose they lose 150.) ||||
Phoebe is certainly not one of the best characters; in fact, she's one of the worst. Power Lash is efficient, but incredibly difficult to actually pull off against a competent opponent. As for Helene, yes - she is the worst character in the game. She's still usable, though - everyone is viable and no character is useless. ||||
Quickening Powder IS bugged. I suggest not using it because it's awful, but if you do ignore what it says until after the maneuver phase.

The game itself is pretty well thought out. There is a issue of being slow, it might potentially take hours to play. Anyways graphics are nice, the gameplay is strategy in some ways and anticipation in others which is done in a good manner. Music can also help but that would most likely be added later on. Overall enjoying the game but I'm pretty dismal at this game at the moment. Just wondering will it be possible to earn cards by playing this game perhaps in single player mode. If that's the case maybe offer different cards than the one in weekly challenges.
