yeah, its really annoying, won my Ubie just a week ago too. Anyway, for those of you who wanna know, the next challenges will be (in order): Ubie, Tiger's Claw, MLM, Gem of Souls and Mindreader's Chalice. After that, R3 starts or new cards are released.

Most likely the deck is already saved and you pushed the button a second time, what results in the message "Deck Name taken..." Check your Deck Builder...

Well, I tried to make a new deck, then spent 20 minutes getting "Deck Name Taken, must enter a unique name" so I couldn't save it. This includes banging on my keyboard for about 40 random characters. Games are more fun when you actually get to play them.

When is the next challange where you can win a card? I read there's one every Monday and Thursday, but I haven't seen any new challange after the one with the Breastplate...

Yes, duplicate items can be used. No, duplicate characters can't. You can have up to 6 of one card actually. O,K,R1,R2,S and SP for the Breastplate, Blood Vial and Tafari iirc.

Just started with this game, and am pretty rubbish at it. The question is this:
Can you really end up with 4 of one card? In that you can have the starter version, the original version, and the R1 and R2 versions.
Just wondering as that would mean you could duplicate characters and items in one deck.
Anyone got an answer?

Um randomly killing my guy when he has 8 hitpoints left or just skipping over my attack as if it never happenned, without even giving me a miss are bugs. Also the game freezing on cain solomon versus cornelius constantine, right before it ends, another bug...

Guessing by looking at odds of what your opponent is going to do is skill. If you just "guess" your not gonna win much.

make that 10-0 streak...and richard233 says i got "partly" lucky, lol who are you people kidding. you think i haven't seen worse luck than you? 3 misses with double slash in a row last night and I didn't bat an eye. stfu about the luck factor it's not that big a deal.

well if your both down to one hit left. and your attack misses.... thats luck. assuming you have no miss debuffs on you.

People who say one lucky move lost or won a match for them fail to acknowledge the REST of the match - before and after the lucky crit or miss. That's strategy, and that's why people are in the top 25.

For those who say that luck is a huge factor - yes, it is in the short run.In the long run it evens out.You win some due to luck, you lose some due to luck.If you are good you will still have a bigger winning percentage.
It is similar to Poker.

Metagame shifts will bring slight differences. Heck, Ive been starting with feather Popo just to throw people off and frustrate people who depend on pilebunker, yoshi, and other phys heavy moves. Just have popo back up with your REAL damage dealers and its all good.

i hate the luck factor in this game. all these jive turkeys thinking their cool because cain's interrupt never procs. i've been crit 8 times in the last 2 games, and i've had no critical hits myself. this is so lame.

Ziss couldnt have put it any better. most people revovle around CC, VV, and anex, yoshiro, even tafari. Helene and Ashi ae being used more and more now to. Throw people off by using something different that way they dont expect it. just my thought

As for "better" characters and decks, as you climb higher in the ranks people play more conservatively and you start seeing the standard trite trio of CC/Yoshi/Anex, with obvious minor tweaks here and there. Sometimes Tafari and VV might be thrown in. On average, there ARE, pound for pound, better characters and better trios.

@Notjack - Kongbot is not a good test for anything. It's really only there to get the game mechanics down - like driving a car in an empty parking lot.

i played with many cards nut recently decided to go for a small group of them... using couple of them only doesn't mean the game gets boring

One more thing-- while we're offering advice-- when you build a new deck test it out against Kongbot (maybe a few times, until you know how everyone will work with each other). My rule is, if my deck falls on its face several times in a row v Kongbot, it's going to get ripped apart v a human, so I switch it up a bit.

There are, indeed cards that work better together. However, there is no perfect deck. If there were one, everyone would have it then there would have to be an even more perfect deck for someone to win. However, there ARE cards that you are able to use better than other cards and so it can make it seem (to you) like you have a perfect deck.

i think people are trying to hard to find a perfect deck where there is no such thing, instead they should concentrate on mastering their favourite cards... you like playing with f.ex. Popo... fine just learn to use him properly... don't change him for tafari just beacouse you lost couple of fights
