I have tried a cople of time and fint it easiest to use an automated jackhammer the manual switch to switch between walk and stand

Omg such a good game, but I have no idea how to use those tools. XD I know that the saw needs steam power, alright..
Basically, steam = energy, and you just need pipes connected to everything, but I can't understand the pressure thing. Pressure made by steam = energy, okay.. I don't know how to use them pressure valves. :(

lol ok ok 2 lvl passage most important parts: value compresser set to 30 and two steam tanks if you can't fingure the rest out then wow

I love that game :)
It´s a game in which you really have to think about what way of construction is the best one...
But I think it needs more Updates suchs as waepons skins or better animated Steam flows

Aethan, level 2 was actually quite easy. I decided to remodel the interior so that the two steam tanks would fill one tank, and then would come a control valve. Lead one side to the crouch system (preferably right), and lead the other side, through a fuse valve set to 30, to the two guns, using the alternator valves to reload. If it works, it should keep firing and reloading while standing, and crouch when you hit the switch.
Hope this helps.

Those who say this game sucks are kids, it's TOO complicated for them,(i beat the game and i'm a teen!)
Can't wait for the sequal!!!

Well, I had an insane amount of fun until I realised that levels 1 3 and 4 could be solved by a mech design which uses only one valve.

Level 3 requires a slight change: the valve needs to be set higher.
Level 2 is much harder, requiring your mech to follow (or get lucky with) a complicated timing sequence. My best effort uses more valves than it needs:

IMO the level design of this game is very weak. I think Level 2 should be around level 8-10, level 3 should be about level 5, and level 4 is almost pointless showing off: the mech is less dangerous than level 3's, but it's a very fun concept for the mad scientists among us, has a fair interface, and aside from the level design could in general be a lot worse. It does need a means to save your mech though. :)

In comparison to the awesome Codex of Alchemical Engineering, this game is utter crap. I'll say this: The concept is very nice, but the execution is horrible. There is no learning curve, there's a sheer wall. That, and it seems glitchy to me (But then again, I don't know what it would look like if half of this stuff worked, so what do I know?)

Pretty rockin' game, but I think it needs a tute and waaaay more levels. Seriously though, it's a great idea and I'd really love to see a sequel.

Seriously, why do I have to remake it every time? Also, to the people who praise this game's intelligence and/or rag on themselves for not being smart enough to figure it out, don't. The physics of the game is laughable, and, frankly, stuff that should work, doesn't.

I got my design to work. So its close, but i hit him and hes in the red. THEN he slaps down his damn axe and kills me, when he should already be dead.

The Buzzsaw seems to take too long to spool up. If I have a bunch of tanks connected, shouldn't that allow it to spool faster?

OK, figured out the cannon. After it fires, it maintains pressure (in defiance of logic). You need steam vents to cause the pressure to lower after you've cut it off from the engine. Here's a pic:

@Monochrom, not the rifle, the cannon...with just one connector. It says it'll load another shell when pressure drops, but even manually shunting the pressure away doesn't cause it to load another shell.

Tijamat: I used to switch walking/crouching on manual control. He can't hit you, when you crouch.
Liesmith: Use a fuse valve at lower (firing) connector and set it to high pressure. Upper connector can be permanently under pressure.

Ok, I've gotten everything else to work except for the damn cannon. No matter what I do, it won't load a second shell. Any suggestions?

Very original game idea, and with a 'steampunk' theme.. extra cool! This has so much potential to be developed far beyond a flash game, I hope the developer fleshes it out, this could be very successful. Oh, and it's fun to play!

Delta means the repeater i assume, and you must alternate the pressure between the top and bottom valves. presssure in the top loads the gun, pressure in bottom fires. More pressure=more damage.
